Two men sought in break and enter investigation, Lawrence Avenue East and Beechgrove Drive area, Images Released

The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance identifying two men and a suspect vehicle in a residential break in.

On Sunday, January 10, 2021, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to a call for a break and enter in progress in the Lawrence Avenue East and Beechgrove Drive area

It is reported that:

- two men broke into a residence

- once inside they ransacked the home

- a quantity of cash and electronics were taken

Suspect #1 is described as in his late 40s to 50s, wearing a black baseball cap, black and blue hooded sweater, blue jeans, and black shoes with white soles.

Suspect #2 is described as having a heavy build, wearing a baseball cap, black hooded sweater, and light coloured pants.

They fled in a black 4-door Mazda 3 sedan.

Security camera images of the suspects and the car have been released.

Woman for Identification in Robbery Investigation, Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street area, Images Released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman in a robbery investigation.

On Thursday, December 24 2020, at approximately 8:21 a.m., police commenced a robbery investigation in the Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street area.

It is reported that:

- the victim was riding alone on board the east bound 505 Dundas West streetcar

- the streetcar stopped at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street when a woman approached and grasped the victim’s belongings

- during the struggle the woman assaulted the victim and was unsuccessful in obtaining her belongings

- the suspect retreated to the back of the streetcar

- the victim reported the assault to police after exiting the streetcar

The woman is described as being late 20s to mid 30s, medium build, wearing a black and white patterned toque, a black and white patterned scarf, a red sweater, black jeans with multiple horizontal tears along the legs, a gold sneaker on her right foot and a black sneaker on her left foot, and wrapped in a distinct blue and white Santa Claus fleece blanket.

Missing Man, Birchmount Road and Silver Springs Boulevard area, Brandon Wyatt, 27

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Brandon Wyatt, 27, was last seen on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 4 a.m., in the Birchmount Road and Silver Springs Boulevard area.

He is described as 6', with a thin build and short dark hair.

He was wearing a dark pea coat, dark pants, white socks and no shoes.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Missing woman located, Morningside Avenue and McNicoll Avenue area, Jordan Patton, 29

Personal injury collision 2/2021, Finch Avenue West and Kipling Avenue

On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at approximately 7:03 p.m., officers responded to a call for a collision in the Finch Avenue West and Kipling Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a man was standing on the south curb

- a 61-year-old man was driving eastbound on Finch Avenue West

- the pedestrian walked onto the roadway and was struck

- the pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Despite the best efforts of investigators, the pedestrian has not yet been identified and officers are appealing to the public to help identify him.

The man is described as in his late 30s to early 40s, with a brown complexion and of a medium build. He was wearing a gold and brown winter jacket, blue hoodie, and black jeans.

Investigators would also like to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or security camera video of the area or incident.

Man arrested in Child Pornography investigation, Rudi Jock, 56

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a child pornography investigation.

On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, members of the Toronto Police Service's Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in the Kingston Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.

Rudi Jock, 56, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Two counts of Possession of Child Pornography
2. Two counts of Access Child Pornography
3. Two counts of Make Available Child Pornography

He was scheduled to appear virtually at Toronto East Courts, 1911 Eglington Avenue East, on Tuesday January 12, 2021.

Two men sought in shooting investigation, Crescent Town Road and Victoria Park Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance identifying two men sought in a shooting investigation.

On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 5:04 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting in the Crescent Town Road and Victoria Park Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- two men attended a courtyard and had a brief conversation with the victim

- suspect #1 pepper sprayed the victim while suspect #2 drew a handgun from a satchel and fired a single round

- the victim was struck in the left leg

- all three fled on foot


Suspect #1 was described as 18 to 19 years old, light-skinned, wearing a black sweater, black pants, black shoes and a face mask.

Suspect #2 was described as a 18 to 19 years old, light-skinned, with long black hair in a ponytail, wearing a black sweater, black pants, black shoes, a face mask and carrying a satchel


Security camera footage is now available on YouTube.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a wanted man.

It is alleged that:

- between Friday, July 1, 2016 and Thursday, December 5, 2019, the accused committed several offences across the City of Toronto

Rubin Lindsay, 30 of Toronto, is wanted for the following 27 charges from six warrants:

1. three counts of Utter Threats
2. eight counts of Fail to Comply Probation
3. nine counts of Assault
4. three counts of Three counts of Mischief Over $5000
5. fraud Over $5000
6. sexual Interference
7. assault with a Weapon
8. fail to Comply Recognizance

He is described as 6’0”, 200 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes, black facial hair and is unshaven.

His image has been released.

Homicide #1/2021, 2495 Eglinton Avenue East, Mohamed Jeylani, 25

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.

On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 5:09 p.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing at 2495 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto.

It is reported that:

- responding emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a man suffering from trauma

- the man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased

The man has been identified as Mohamed Jeylani, 25, of Minnesota, USA. His image has been released.

The Toronto Police Service Homicide Squad has taken over the investigation.

The suspect is described as a man, black, 5'11", 20-25 years, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark hooded top and light coloured pants at the time.

He was last seen in the area of Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East on January 13, 2021, at 5:11 p.m

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who has information that may assist with this investigation, including dash cam video and security surveillance images.

Sexual Assault Alert, Kingston Road and Midland Avenue area, Suspect Sought, Update, Photographs Released

The Toronto Police Service is updating the public on a Sexual Assault investigation.

The incident occurred at approximately 1.10 a.m, on Sunday, January 3, 2021, in the Kingston Road and Midland Avenue area.

Investigators have now released a photograph of the suspect and a vehicle that he is believed to have fled in.

Man arrested for Assault, Yonge Street and Dundas Street West area, Marumba Mbolaboso, 41, Witnesses Sought

The Toronto Police Service has arrested a man in an assault investigation and are seeking witnesses to come forward.

On Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at approximately 2:50 p.m., an assault occurred in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street West area.

It is alleged that:

- a woman was near a transit stop when she was assaulted by a man

- the assault was witnessed by passersby, who tended to the woman and offered assistance

Marumba Mbolaboso, 41, of no fixed address, was identified and arrested on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

He has been charged with:

1. Assault

He was scheduled to appear at court on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Old City Hall, 60 Queen Street West, room 101.

His image has been released.

52 Division investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward and requesting anyone with information to contact them.

On Sunday, January 10, 2021, at approximately 1:35 p.m., officers responded to a call for threats made at the Danforth GO Station.

It is reported that:

- a man approached a station attendant

- he threatened to get a firearm and shoot the attendant

He is described as 30 to 40, wearing a black jacket and camouflage pants.

A photograph of him has been released.

Man arrested for Accessing Child Pornography, Joseph Wolfer, 58,

The Toronto Police Service is informing the public of an arrest made in a child pornography investigation.

On Thursday, November 5, 2020 the Toronto Police Service's Child Exploitation Section executed two criminal code search warrants in the The Queensway and Islington Avenue area.

On Thursday, January 14, 2021, Joseph Wolfer, 58, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. two counts of Possession of Child Pornography
2. Access Child Pornography

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
