Man Wanted, Stewart "Wade" Hunt, 43 Update, Located and Arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance locating a wanted man.

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, Stewart Hunt, 43, of Guelph, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Criminal Harassment
2) two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation

He will appear in court via video conference at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, April 3, 2020, at 10 a.m.

Mary Verner, 63, was last seen on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at approximately 8:30 a.m., in the Warden Avenue and Rossford Road area.

She is described as 5’6”, heavy build, 270 lbs., with dark brown shoulder--length hair. She is believed to be wearing a brown jacket, purse, and boots.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Fatal collision #7/2020, Steeles Avenue West area, west of Islington Avenue

On Friday, April 3, 2020 at approximately 11:10 p.m., police received a report of a collision on Steeles Avenue West area, west of Islington Avenue, in Toronto.

It is reported that:

- a 28-year-old man was driving a white 2015 Lexus IS350 west on Steeles Avenue

- the investigation so far suggests this man made a U-turn and was struck by the drivers of two east bound motor vehicles

- a 53-year-old man, driving a red 2018 Nissan Rogue, struck the passenger side of the Lexus. A 35-year-old man, driving a white 2012 Honda Civic, also struck the Lexus

- the 28-year-old suffered fatal injuries at the scene and died

- the two other drivers and a 50-year-old female passenger in the Nissan were taken to local hospitals. The injuries the woman suffered were considered life-threatening.

This is an isolated stretch of Steeles Avenue West. Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Anna Marie Santilli, 45, was last seen on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., getting into a grey Chevrolet four-door vehicle in the Humber College Boulevard and Westmore Drive, area.

She is described as 5'4", 119 lbs, with blonde hair, and blue eyes.

She is wearing a white mask, black jacket, black pants, black shoes.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Man Wanted in Attempted Murder Investigation, David Pajon Ramos, 29

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for attempted murder.

It is alleged that:

- on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at approximately 7:15 a.m., the victim was riding his bike in the area of Hinton Road and Harefield Drive

- a man was driving a car and struck the victim while on his bike

- the man then beat the victim with an object before running away


David Pajon Ramos, 29, of no fixed address, is wanted on warrant for:

1) Attempted Murder


He is described as 5’6”, 175 lbs, dark complexion, and short black hair with a receding hair line.

He was seen wearing a black hoodie with a white stripe on the right shoulder and black pants with a white Puma logo.


If seen, do not approach. He is considered violent. Call police immediately on 9-1-1.

Man Sought in Break and Enter Investigation, Church Street and Wellington Street East area

The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance identifying a man in a break and enter investigation.

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, officers responded to a call for a break and enter in the Church Street and Wellington Street East area.

It is reported that:

- at 12:47 a.m., a man broke into a restaurant

- he stole several bottles of wine

- he then fled the scene

Investigators have reviewed security camera video and believe the same man is responsible for an attempted break and enter at the same restaurant the day before.

The man is described as 40-45, medium to heavy build, clean shaven, with brown hair. He was wearing a black coat with leather arms and a logo on the left side of coat, black pants, and black running shoes with white soles.

Security camera images have been released.

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to an indecent exposure investigation.

On Friday, April 3, 2020, officers responded to a call for an indecent exposure that occurred on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at 8:30 p.m., in the Brimley Road and Finch Avenue East area.

It has been reported that:

- a 13-year-old girl was sitting in a home

- a man walked into the backyard with his pants pulled down

- he committed an indecent act

- he tried to lure the girl into the backyard

- the young girl ran and informed an adult

- the man fled the area

The man is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5'6" - 6'0", medium build with a large stomach. He was wearing a dark green short-sleeve button down shirt, and a white or beige baseball cap.

Sexual Assault Alert, Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard area, Security Camera Images Released

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault and is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 47-year-old woman was in the Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard

- she was followed by an unknown man into an elevator within a residential building

- the man then sexually assaulted the woman

The man is described as having a heavy build, closely shaved black hair, clean shaven, wearing a black ‘Boston Bruins’ hooded sweatshirt, black Adidas track pants with white stripes, and black shoes.

Homicide #18/2020 Finch Avenue East and Bridletowne Circle Kamalakannan Arasaratnam, 58

On Sunday, April 5, 2020, at approximately 3:04 p.m. Toronto Police responded to a call for an assault in the Finch Avenue East and Bridletowne Circle area.

It is reported :

- two men got into a verbal argument at a restaurant
- one man assaulted the other man causing serious injuries

Emergency services attended and located the injured man. Life-saving measures were initiated but the man died at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Kamalakannan Arasaratnam, 58, of Toronto.

The suspect was last seen walking northbound Bridletowne Circle from this location.

He is described as brown, 40 to 50 years of age, medium build, wearing a blue winter style jacket, grey pants, black shoes.

Two Men Arrested in Retail Robbery Investigation, The Esplanade and Lower Jarvis Street area

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of two men arrested in a retail robbery investigation.

On Friday, March 21, 2020, a pharmacy retail store robbery took place in the The Esplanade and Lower Jarvis Street area.

It is alleged that:

- two men entered the store and began to walk the aisles pretending to shop

- the men took a large quantity of perfume bottles from the shelves and concealed them in a bag

- one of the men pulled out a knife when the store security officer approached them

- the men punched the security officer and fled on foot

On Tuesday, March 31, 2020, Kirk Gregory Alexander Hamilton, 32, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Robbery
2. Assault
3. two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at 2 p.m., in room 101.

On Friday, April 3, 2020, Nicholas Norgrove, 40, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2. Possession of Weapon
3. three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 10:00 am, in room 111.

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a retail robbery investigation.

On Sunday, March 29, 2020, a lottery booth retail robbery took place in the Huron Street and Bloor Street West area.

It is alleged that:

- a man approached a retail booth and demanded various lottery tickets while displaying a small black handgun

- the man took a large quantity of lottery tickets

- the man then fled the area on foot

On Sunday, April 5, 2020, Jared Shmagola, 30, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. Possession Property Obtained by Crime, Under
3. Fail to Comply with Probation Order
4. Fail to Comply with Undertaking
5. Fail to Comply with Release Order

He is was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, April 6, 2020, at 10 a.m., in room 505.
