Man Arrested in Retail Robbery Investigation, Niagara Street and King Street West area, One Suspect Still Outstanding

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a retail robbery investigation.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, a convenience retail store robbery took place in the Niagara Street and King Street West area.

It is alleged that:

- two men entered a store while concealing their identities

- one of the men made demands for cash

- the other man walked behind the checkout counter and began to punch the store employee in the face

- the men took a cash box and the cash register, and fled the area on foot

The Hold Up Squad commenced an investigation and determined the identity of one of the men.

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, Enrico Bonollo, 50, Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Robbery
2. Assault
3. Disguise with Intent
4. Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was scheduled to appear at court at Old City Hall on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

Hold Up Squad officers are continuing the investigation in a bid to identify a suspect who remains outstanding.

Missing Man, Lansdowne Avenue and Bloor Street West area, Istvan Racz, 62

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Istvan Racz, 62, was last seen on Friday, April 3, 2020, near the Lansdowne Avenue and Bloor Street West area.

Police are concerned for his safety as he possibly suffers from Type 1 Diabetes, memory issues and an ongoing medical issue with his feet.

Arrest made in a Bank Robbery and Two Carjackings, Joshua Auld, 27

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a bank robbery and two carjacking investigations.

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, a bank robbery was committed in the Roncesvalles Avenue and Howard Park Avenue area.

It is alleged:

- a man entered a bank concealing his identity with a face mask and sunglasses

- the man approached the teller and made a demand for cash

- the man pulled out a small black handgun and threatened the employees

- the suspect took a quantity of cash and then fled the area on foot


On Sunday, April 5, 2020, two carjacking robberies took place in the Bloor Street West and Dundas Street West area.

It is further alleged that:

- the suspect attended a parking lot and approached a man sitting inside a car

- the suspect got into the vehicle and began assaulting the man sitting inside the car

- the suspect took out a knife and stabbed the man in the car multiple times. He suffered serious injuries.

- the suspect then fled in the car, and the victim was dragged a short distance

- the suspect shortly lost control of the vehicle and hit a fence

- a man in another vehicle stopped to assist

- at this time, the suspect got into the man's vehicle that had stopped to assist

- he was unable to drive it

- he then fled the scene on foot


Police were called and and after a brief foot pursuit an arrest was made.


It is further alleged that:

- the knife used by the suspect was located


On Sunday, April 5, 2020, Joshua Auld, 27, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. Robbery with a Firearm
3. Robbery
4. Disguise with Intent
5. Use Firearm during Commission of Indicatable Offence
6. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
7. Possession of a Weapon
8. Aggravated Assault
9. Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
10. Fail to Comply with Release Order

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, April 6, 2020, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

Missing man, Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue area, Ghandy Neira, 32

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a missing man.

Ghandy Neira, 32, was last seen on Monday, April 6, 2020, at approximately 12:30 p.m., in the Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue area.

He is described as 5’7”, 180 lbs., with short black hair, and light skin complexion. He was last seen wearing a light grey winter coat with black shoulders, grey pants, and light-coloured sneakers.

If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Police are concerned for his safety and the safety of the public.

Homicide #19/2020, 5 Leaside Park Drive, Nazirullah Abdul-Rashid, 16

On Sunday, April 5, 2020, at approximately 10:42 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting at 5 Leaside Park Drive.

It is reported that:

- officers arrived on scene and located a male with apparent gunshot wounds inside a motor vehicle

- paramedics commenced life-saving efforts

- the male succumbed to his injuries at the scene

The victim has been identified as Nazirullah Abdul-Rashid, 16, of Toronto.

Investigators would like to thank those who have already come forward with information.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area of 5 Leaside Park Drive between 10 - 11 p.m., on Sunday, April 5, 2020, and heard or saw anything out of the ordinary, to speak with investigators.

Man Sought in Break and Enter Investigation, Church Street and Wellington Street East area, Update, Bruce Reaume, 58, arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in a break and enter investigation.

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, officers responded to a call for a break and enter in the Church Street and Wellington Street East area.

See previous release.

On Sunday, April 5, 2020, Bruce Reaume, 58, of Toronto, was arrested. He is also believed to be responsible for other commercial break and enter offences. He is charged with:

1) four counts of Break and Enter and Commit
2) Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence
3) 10 counts of Fail to Comply Probation

He was scheduled to appear at court at College Park on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

This is an on-going investigation and investigators continue to encourage anyone with any information to contact police.

Commercial Break and Enter Investigation, Two men arrested and charged

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the community for their assistance with a commercial break in investigation which has led to two arrests, stolen property being recovered and a significant amount of charges being laid.

It is alleged that:

- beginning in early 2020, the St. Clair Avenue West corridor in 13 Division had seen an increase in overnight commercial break-ins

- the suspects generally smashed glass doors to gain entry and targeted the premises' cash registers, various electronic devices, lottery tickets and cigarettes

On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in the early hours of the morning, uniform patrol officers from 13 Division received a call for a break and enter in-progress along St. Clair Avenue West. The officers made two arrests near the scene and recovered stolen property from several of the entries.

Further investigation into previous entries by 13 Division’s Major Crime Unit linked the two individuals to a large number of occurrences. Warrants were issued for both men.


On Friday, April 3, 2020, Hai Ong, 40, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. 14 counts of Break and Enter Commit
2. 15 counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance
3. Mischief Under $5000

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, June 11, 2020, 2:15 p.m., room 116.


On Sunday, April 5, 2020, Jesus Valverde, 51, of no fixed address, surrendered to police and was arrested and charged with:

1. 18 counts of Break and Enter
2. 19 counts of Fail to Comply Probation
3. Mischief Under $5000

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, June 26, 2020, 2 p.m., room 301.

Arrest Made in Sexual Assault Investigation, Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard, Nicolas Lozado Corredor, 32,

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying a man in a sexual assault investigation.

On Sunday, April 5, 2020, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 47-year-old woman was in the Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard area.

On Monday, April 6, 2020, Nicolas Lozado Corredor, 32, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. two counts of Sexual Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 10 a.m.


As a result of the initial news release, another victim has come forward to police. Investigators are concerned there may be more victims.

His photograph has been released.

Identity of Man Sought in Suspicious Package Investigation, St Michael’s Hospital, Images Released

The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance identifying an unknown man.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at approximately 3:20 a.m., police responded to a suspicious package call at St Michael’s Hospital.

It is reported that:

- a man deliberately made a package look like a potentially explosive device

- he then placed that package in front of an entrance to St. Michael’s Hospital

- he then left the area

As a result of the incident, major disruption was caused at the hospital during the ongoing health pandemic and ambulances had to be diverted to other hospitals.

Anyone who recognizes the man pictured is urged to contact investigators.

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a missing man.

David Adam, 93, was last seen on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at approximately 12 a.m., in the Bloor Street West and Markland Drive area.

He is described as 5'10”, 180 lbs., bald with white curly hair on the sides, and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a red waist length coat, baseball cap, grey shirt, grey pants, and black shoes.

He was driving a 2001 grey Subaru with marker #AXXH 982.

Police are concerned for his safety.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at 11 a.m., a quantity of liquid Methadone was lost in the Dufferin Street at Rogers Road area.

This medication could be harmful or fatal if ingested, especially to children.

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a missing woman.

Andria Apulinario, 24, was last seen on Sunday, April 5, 2020, in the Jane Street and Shoreham Drive area.

At 10 p.m., she was in the Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.

She is described as 5'6", 130 lbs., medium build, with a light complexion, brown eyes, medium-length wavy hair in afro-style. A description of her clothes are unknown at this time.

Police are concerned for her safety.

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of a an arrest in relation to a retail robbery that occurred in the Rathburn Road and Renforth Drive area.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, April 5, 2020, a convenience retail store robbery was committed in Toronto

- two men entered the store and approached the checkout counter

- one of the suspects grabbed a tray of lottery tickets

- the suspects then began to assault a store employee

- the suspects broke the front door of the store before fleeing the scene in a black sedan car


It is further alleged that:

- between Friday, April 3, 2020, and Tuesday, April 7, 2020, one of the suspects in the convenience store robbery committed a break and enter at a retail store as well as several retail store thefts

Hold Up Squad investigators, working with officers from 13 Division, located and arrested a suspect.

Richard Laycock, 32, Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Three counts of Theft Under
3) Break & Enter Commit
4) Possession of Break-In Instrument
5) 25 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 2 p.m., at 2201 Finch Avenue West, room 202.

The investigation remains ongoing and officers are working to identify a second suspect.

Man Arrested for Three Retail Robberies in Toronto, Kadeen Gordon, 26

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in relation to three retail robberies in Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- between Friday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 7, 2020, three retail store robberies were committed in Toronto

- in each incident a man entered the store and walked around pretending to be a customer

- the suspect selected items from the shelves

- he then told store employees that he had a gun and threatened to shoot them

- he then fled the scene on foot

Hold Up Squad began investigating and identified a suspect. Divisional officers were able to locate him and, after a short foot pursuit, arrested a man.

Kadeen Gordon, 26, no fixed address, has been charged with:

1) Three counts of Robbery with Violence
2) Three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 10 a.m, at College Park, room 505.

Man and Woman Arrested in Retail Robbery Investigation, Kingston Road and McCowan Road area

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of two arrests in relation to a retail robbery in Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, April 2, 2020, a pharmacy retail store robbery was committed in the Kingston Road and McCowan Road area

- a man and woman entered the store and walked around pretending to be customers

- they removed a larger quantity of items from the shelves

- one of the suspects pulled out a knife when store security approached them

- they fled the scene in a stolen car

- on Saturday, April 4, 2020, officers located the stolen car being driven by the suspects and were able to bring it to a stop after a short pursuit

One of the suspects was immediately arrested. A Police K9 Unit was used to locate a second suspect.

Wesley Penney, 34, Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Two counts of Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2) Two counts of Possession of a Weapon
3) Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
4) Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
5) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
6) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under
7) Two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order

He was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Old City Hall, room 111.


Jenna Feero, 26, Toronto, has been charged with:

1)Robbery with Offensive Weapon
2)Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
3)Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under
4)Two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation

She was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Old City Hall, room 111
