The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance locating a missing woman.

Deanna March, 33, was last seen on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 11:05 a.m., in the St. Clair Avenue East and Danforth Road area.

She is described as 5'6", 115 lbs., with blond hair with pink and purple dyed streaks. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweatshirt, beige pants and short grey boots.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Carlos De Guzman Halnin, 27, was last seen on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., in the Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue area.

He is described as 5’4”, 185 lbs., with short black hair, brown eyes, clean shaven and wearing glasses. He was last seen wearing a grey dress shirt, either blue or beige pants and carrying a black backpack.

Police are concerned for his safety.

He is described as 6’2”, with blue eyes, and balding. He was last seen wearing gray-framed prescription glasses, a short-sleeve cream-coloured shirt, blue pants, and red shoes with black laces.

Man arrested in child pornography investigation, Michael Osuwu-Bonsu, 24, Faces two charges

On Thursday, September 20, 2018, members of the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes – Child Exploitation Section, executed a search warrant in the Islington Avenue and Highway 401 area.

It is alleged that:

- a man was in possession of child sexual abuse images

As a result of the investigation, a quantity of electronic equipment was seized.

While on scene, Michael Osuwu-Bonsu, 24, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Possession Child Pornography
2. Access Child Pornography

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, October 25, 2018, 2 p.m., in room 202.

Man arrested in Attempt Murder investigation, Keele Street and Eglinton Avenue West area

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in an Attempt Murder investigation.

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at approximately 2 a.m., officers discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the Keele Street and Eglinton Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

- a 34-year-old man became involved in an argument with another man

- the suspect produced a handgun and shot the 34-year-old man

- the suspect then fled the area

On Saturday, September 22, 2018, Robert William Myers, 34, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Attempt Murder
2. Discharge Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life
3. Discharge Firearm Recklessly
4. Possess Firearm Not Holding a Licence
5. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
6. Possession of Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order
7. Possession of Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

He will appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

Investigators urge anyone who witnessed the shooting, recorded video, has pictures or any other information regarding this investigation to contact police.

Two men arrested in Firearm investigation, "Purple Heroin" seized

On Thursday, September 20, 2018, officers started an investigation regarding a man in possession of a firearm.

On Saturday, September 22, 2018, a Criminal Code Search Warrant was executed on a downtown apartment unit.

It is alleged that:

- within the apartment, officers located a loaded .40 calibre Glock pistol and over 50 rounds of ammunition

- also located was a quantity of cash and narcotics, including what is believed to be “purple heroin”

Sam Donaldson, 28, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. two counts of Assault
2. Uttering Threats
3. Possess Firearm While Prohibited
4. Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
5. Careless Storage of Ammunition
6. Possess Restricted Firearm Without a Licence
7. Possess Restricted Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence
8. Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime
9. Possess Prohibited Device Knowing No Authority
10. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Narcotic
11. Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000

Kalenda Kalonji, 29, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm
2. Careless Storage of Ammunition
3. Possess Restricted Firearm Without a Licence
4. Possess Restricted Firearm Knowingly not Holding a Licence
5. Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime
6. Possess Prohibited Device Knowing No Authority
7. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Narcotic
8. Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000

They will appear in court at Old City Hall, on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

Man arrested in Threatening investigation, Michael Aaron Jardine, 27

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a threatening investigation.

On Friday, September 21, 2018, police were advised of a concerning post on Facebook which indicated there would be a mass shooting at a night club in the downtown area of Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- a post was made on Facebook using a fictitious profile

- the post indicated that there would be a mass shooting

Michael Aaron Jardine, 27, of Hamilton, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Convey false information with intent to alarm
2. Fail to comply with probation

He appeared in court on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Old City Hall courts, in room 101.

Investigators believe there was no validity to the threatening Facebook post. It was done as a hoax.

Police request assistance in Fatal Collision investigation, Nuthatch Lane and Doctor O Lane

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance in a fatal collision investigation.

On Friday, September 21, 2018, at 4:07 p.m., officers responded to a call for See Ambulance in the Nuthatch Lane and Doctor O Lane area.

It is reported that:

- a 57-year-old man was found suffering from severe trauma

- he was transported to hospital but succumbed to his injuries

- it was believed he was assaulted

- a post-mortem examination revealed he had been struck by a vehicle

Traffic Services has now taken over this investigation. Investigators request anyone that may have cell phone video, dashboard camera video, pictures or any information concerning this collision, to contact police.

On Monday, September 24, 2018, A/Inspector Lauren Pogue of TPS Hold Up and Canadian Bankers Association Director of Security Malcolm Chivers held a news conference.

The Canadian Bankers Association, through Toronto Police Service Hold Up, is offering a reward of up to $10,000 leading to the arrest and conviction of two wanted men.

Jesse Jack Breese, 21 and Nathan Hunter, 20, are wanted on Canada Wide Warrants for a violent financial robbery in which a firearm was discharged inside a bank.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 5:05 p.m., four men were in a stolen 2017 Honda Accord

- the men drove to a bank branch located near Warden Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East

- three men entered the bank, disguising their identities with masks, sunglasses and hooded sweatshirts

- Jesse Jack Breese, 21, discharged a round from a handgun into the floor

- the other two men ordered the customers to get down on the floor

- the men obtained a quantity of money and fled the bank

- on Thursday, June 7, 2018, following an investigation by TPS Hold Up, the getaway driver and one man were arrested

- the Honda Accord getaway vehicle was located and seized

A Canada-Wide arrest warrant has been issued for Jesse Jack Breese, 21, and Nathan Hunter, 20, both of no fixed address. Each is wanted for:

1) Robbery While Armed with a Firearm
2) Disguise with Intent
3) Discharge Firearm with Intent
4) Careless Use Firearm
5) Possession Weapon for Committing Offence
6) Use Firearm Commit Indictable Offence
7) Illegal Possession of Firearm with Ammunition
8) Unauthorized Possession Firearm
9) Possession Firearm Knowing its Unauthorized
10) Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence

Jesse Jack Breese, 21, is described as 6'3", slim build, dark hair. He occasionally wears prescription glasses. He is known to frequent both Barrie and Toronto.

Nathan Hunter, 20, is described as 6'0", 150 lbs., dark wavy hair.

Both are considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach, and immediately call 9-1-1.

The handgun alleged to have been used during the robbery has not been recovered.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing woman.

Sousi Pierrot, 58, was last seen on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 1 p.m., in the Weston Road and Jane Street area.

She is described as 5’, 150 lbs., grey hair, unknown clothing description. She had in her possession a black-and-blue bag.

She currently has a broken leg and is confined to a manual wheelchair.

Police are concerned for her safety.

On Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10 a.m., Chief Mark Saunders will be joined by Francoise Faverjon-Fortin, CEO of MedicAlert Foundation Canada and the select members of the MedicAlert team in the courtyard of 40 College Street, to launch the Service’s partnership with the Connect Protect Initiative.

Intended for those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other cognitive conditions, the MedicAlert Connect Protect Initiative provides valuable time-saving information to police in the event a person goes missing.

Two men wanted in Bank Robbery investigation, Update, Nathan Hunter, 20, surrenders to police

The Canadian Bankers Association, through Toronto Police Service Hold Up, is offering a reward of up to $10,000 leading to the arrest and conviction of Jesse Jack Breese, 21, and Nathan Hunter, 20. Homicide #80/2018, 80 Parkway Forest Drive, Victim Identified, Paul 'Boulos' Rizk, 27, of Toronto

On Monday, September 24, 2018, at approximately 8:06 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting at 80 Parkway Forest Drive.

A small group of people were outside the community centre. A dark coloured four-door sedan approached. Shots were fired at the group. The sedan fled the area at a high rate of speed.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

He has been identified as Paul 'Boulos' Rizk, 27, of Toronto.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

Investigators believe there were many people in the area at the time of the shooting. Anyone with knowledge of this homicide is urged to contact police.

Sexual Assault Alert, Man Arrested, Michael Hawkins, 69, Kennedy Subway station

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest in an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- a 40-year-old woman was lying unconscious on the ground outside Kennedy subway station

- a man approached the woman and sexually assaulted her in front of various passersby

- shortly thereafter, the man casually walked away.

On Tuesday, September 25, 2018, Michael Hawkins, 69, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Sexual Assault
2. Indecent Act

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, 2 p.m., in room 407.

Sexual Assault Alert, Man Wanted, Sewells Road and Fawcett Trail area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with a sexual assault investigation which occurred on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 8:35 p.m.

It is reported that:

- a woman exited a TTC bus at Morningside Avenue and Sewells Road

- she then walked westbound on Sewells Road towards Fawcett Trail

- a man approached her and asked if he could help carry her grocery bags, she declined

- the man then sexually assaulted her

- he left the area and was last seen on Carisbrooke Square

He is described as brown, 20-29 years old, 5’7”, with a medium build and he was clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a red hooded shirt with the hood up, black pants, and sparkly shoes.

Firearm Investigation, Finch Avenue East and Yonge Street area, Man Arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Firearm Investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Monday, September 24, 2018, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police began an investigation involving two men in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue East area

- members of the West Command Gun Violence Suppression Unit and the 31 Division Major Crime Unit attempted to stop the two men on foot

- a foot pursuit ensued and one man discarded a firearm

- an extensive ground search produced a Smith and Wesson .40 Calibre handgun, with fourteen rounds in the magazine


On Tuesday, September 25, 2018, Shaquane Stewart, 19, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence
2. Possess loaded regulated firearm
3. Possess firearm obtained by crime
4. Use firearm carelessly
5. Carry concealed weapon
6. Store firearm carelessly
7. Possess prohibited device knowing no authority

Police are also urging anyone who recorded video on their cell phone or dashboard car camera in the area, or anyone who may have any information regarding this investigation, to contact police as soon as possible.

Public Safety Advisory – 53 Division Significant Increase in Theft of Vehicles

The Toronto Police Service 53 Division has had a significant increase in calls for Theft of Vehicles. Year to date, compared to last year there has been a 112% increase in vehicles reported stolen.

The following crime prevention tips will assist in helping the public protect their property, their vehicles & themselves.

Parking Your Vehicle:
- turn ignition off and take the keys with you
- do not leave your vehicle running
- park in a well-lit attended area, if possible
- close and lock all doors and windows
- turn your wheels to the side to make it harder to tow

At Home:
- if you have a garage, use it and lock it
- install a motion sensor light to illuminate your vehicles and garage area
- if you have a front-wheel drive vehicle park front end first. Back in rear-wheel drive vehicles
- always set the emergency brake
- do not leave the ownership or insurance cards in the vehicle when unattended
- set your vehicle alarm

Remove Valuables:
- never leave anything on display when you leave your vehicle i.e. loose change, cigarettes, cigarette lighters, sunglasses, CDs, cellphones, laptops, cameras, clothing

These crime prevention tips can help prevent theft of your vehicle while protecting yourself & your property.
