This is the latest instalment of 14 Division's "Fugitive Friday." We are looking for Ross Stevens, 56, of Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- the man has committed several Break-and-Enters where he entered into homes during the daytime while the residents were home

He is wanted on the strength of a Warrant in the First Instance for:

1) three counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance
2) Assault With A Weapon
3) three counts of Fail To Comply Probation
4) two counts of Break-and-Enter Dwelling
5) two counts of Attempt Break-and-Enter Dwelling
6) Possession Property Obtained By Crime (Under)

He is described as 5’9”, 170 lbs., bald, hazel eyes, also described as having tanned skin. Tattoos on left forearm: cross and wings; right forearm: Delia; left forearm: Coolie High.

Police warn that he is considered violent. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1.

Richard Janas, 60, was last seen on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 3 p.m., in the Trinell Boulevard and Elfreda Boulevard area.

He is described as 5'6", 155 lbs., medium build, grey-and-red hair, bald on top. He was last seen wearing brown corduroy pants, blue or brown turtleneck top, thick glasses.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Irvin Mihaly, 63, was last seen on Sunday, August 19, 2018, in the Woodbine Avenue and Gerrard Street East area.

He is described as 5’11", 300 lbs., heavy-set. He has long grey hair, long grey beard, brown eyes, some missing teeth. He is known to wear all-dark clothing.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Anton Biebl, 80, was last seen on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 10 a.m., in the Galloway Road and Lawrence Avenue East area.

He is described as 5'10", 185 lbs., grey hair, clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, checkered shirt, tan shoes.

He was last seen driving a 2012 Volkswagon Jetta, dark grey, with Ontario licence plate AYCN014.

Police are concerned for his safety.

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance identifying a man wanted in multiple Break-and-Enter investigations in the downtown area.

It is reported that:

- since June 2018, a man has been targeting commercial properties, in the downtown core, for their electronic equipment

The man is described as approximately 6', 40-50, heavy build, light-brown or blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket with white stripes, dark pants, dark shoes.

Sexual Assault Alert, Queen Street West and Tecumseth Street area, Man, 62, arrested, Faces 28 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 4 a.m., a 32-year-old woman was picked up by a taxi driver in the Queen Street West and Tecumseth Street area

- she was sexually assaulted by the taxi driver

- the taxi driver then took her credit card and used it at multiple locations to make purchases

On Wednesday, August 29, 2018, Golam Mustafa, 62, of Toronto, surrendered to investigators, was arrested, and charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) nine counts of Fraud Under
3) nine counts of Use Stolen Credit Card
4) nine counts of Possession Stolen Property

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, August 30, 2018, 10 a.m.

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 3 a.m., a man was at a residence in the Hilda Avenue and Steeles Avenue West area

- the man entered a room armed with a knife, sexually assaulted a woman and stabbed a boy who received non-life-threatening injuries

The suspect is described as 5'10", approximately 180 lbs., short grey hair, balding, gold tooth.

The suspect has been identified as Ronald Peter Tibando, 54, of Toronto.

He is wanted on a Warrant for:

1) Break-and-Enter with Intent
2) Sexual Assault with a weapon
3) Assault with a weapon
4) Forcible Confinement
5) Assault bodily harm
6) Utter threats

His photograph has been released.

He is considered violent and extremely dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance identifying and locating a man wanted in a Threatening investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at approximately 5:50 a.m., a man boarded a TTC streetcar in the Yonge Street and Queen Street West area

- while on the streetcar, the man threatened to cause bodily harm to the TTC streetcar operator

The man is described as 30-40, 5'7", medium build, dark hair, wearing dark T-shirt, jeans.

Homicide #70/2018, 50 Cornwall Street, Colleen Maxwell, 73, Man, 37, charged with Second-Degree Murder

On Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 4 p.m., police responded to a suspicious death call at 50 Cornwall Street.

Responding officers located a woman in the fifth-floor hallway of the apartment building with obvious trauma. She was pronounced at the scene.

She has been identified as Colleen Maxwell, 73, of Toronto.

Matthew Kirk Maxwell, 37, of Toronto, was arrested at the scene and charged with:

1) Second-Degree Murder

He appeared in court at College Park on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

23 Division's "Find Them Fridays," Derrick Rajkumar Jaikaran, 28, Update, Man arrested, faces two charges

On Friday, August 31, 2018, the 23 Division Warrant Office released a news release seeking assistance locating Derrick Rajkumar Jaikaran, 28, of Toronto.

See previous release.

Information was later received that Derrick Rajkumar Jaikaran, 28, surrendered to police earlier this week.

He was arrested and charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Fail to Comply Probation

Man, 26, charged with firearm and drug offences, Alleged intended victim of Scarborough playground shooting, McCowan Road and Alton Towers Circle area, Faces 16 charges

The Toronto Police Service Integrated Gun & Gang Task Force entered into an investigation based on information that a man was in illegal possession of a firearm.

As a result of this investigation, on the morning of Friday August 31, 2018, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the Eglinton Avenue East and McCowan Road area.

It is alleged that:

- during the execution of the search warrant, the man was located

It is further alleged that the following was seized:

- loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun

- various rounds of ammunition

- quantities of crack cocaine and heroin

Clinton McDonald, 26, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Unauthorized Possession of a firearm
2) Possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon knowing its possession is prohibited
3) Careless storage of firearm
4) Careless storage of ammunition
5) Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
6) Possession for the purpose of weapons trafficking
7) three counts of Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
8) Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition knowing its possession is prohibited
9) Possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
10) two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance
11) two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
12) Fail to comply recognizance

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, September 1, 2018, 9 a.m., room 101.

It is further alleged that:

- Clinton McDonald, 26, was the intended target of the playground shooting in the McCowan Road and Alton Towers Circle area on Thursday, June 14, 2018, where two young girls were struck by gunfire

Sheldon Eriya, 21, and Tarrick Rhoden, 23, have been previously charged in relation to this incident.

An arrest warrant remains outstanding for T’Quan Robertson, 23, of Toronto, in relation to the playground shooting.

On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 2:50 p.m., police were called for a Sound of Gunshots at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, 3401 Dufferin Street.

It is alleged that:

- two groups of males had an altercation

- two shots were fired

Zion Sankar-Beharry, 20, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Discharge Firearm with Intent

It is further alleged that:

- on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 5 p.m., he was last seen in the Warden Avenue and Steeles Avenue East area

He is considered armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Homicide #71/2018, Burnhill Road and Warden Avenue area, Alpha Conteh, 24, Security camera videos released

On Friday, August 31, 2018, at approximately 4:47 a.m., police responded to a shooting call in the Burnhill Road and Warden Avenue area.

Upon arrival, officers located a man in the middle of Burnhill Road with apparent gunshot wounds. The man was treated by attending paramedics and was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Alpha Conteh, 24, of Toronto.

The suspect is described as male, wearing a light-coloured hoodie, possibly grey, and blue jeans. He was seen getting into the front passenger door of a waiting vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a four-door light-coloured sedan, possibly a grey Nissan Altima that was last seen travelling southbound on Warden Avenue towards Danforth Road.

Labour Day holiday on-street parking enforcement, Monday, September 3, 2018

Toronto Police Service Parking Enforcement will not be enforcing the following on-street parking bylaws during the Labour Day statutory holiday on Monday, September 3, 2018:

• Pay-and-Display/Metered Areas
• Rush-Hour Routes
• Posted signs indicating Monday to Friday regulations

All other areas and parking offences will continue to be enforced.

Toronto & York Region Labour Day Parade, Monday, September 3, 2018

On Monday, September 3, 2018, the Annual Toronto & York Region Labour Day Parade will take place.

The formation area for the parade is on University Avenue, between Queen Street West and Armoury Street, departing from the corner of University Avenue and Queen Street West. The parade continues west on Queen Street West, south on Dufferin Street, east on Liberty Street to disperse participants at Lamport Stadium. Vehicles will depart via north on Jefferson Ave to King Street.

Road closures begin in and around the formation area at 7 a.m. and continue along the route starting at 9:20 a.m.

The public is asked not to park within the parade route after 7 a.m.

Traffic diversions and delays can be expected in the area from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Starting at 9 a.m., streetcar service on Queen Street, east and westbound, will be diverted.

Motorists are advised to keep this information in mind when making travel plans.

It is recommended that spectators use public transit to attend this event. Visit www.ttc.ca for more information.


The Parade route is as follows:

- University Avenue between Richmond Street West to Dundas Street West
- Queen Street West between Bay Street to University Avenue

Route:
- southbound University Avenue

Police seek assistance identifying two suspects in Attempt Murder investigation, Spadina Avenue and King Street West, Security camera images of two suspects released

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance identifying and locating two men wanted in an Attempt Murder investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at approximately 3:40 a.m., two men boarded a TTC streetcar in the Spadina Avenue and King Street West area.

- while on the streetcar, the two men became involved in an altercation with a 24-year-old man

- as a result of this altercation, the 24-year-old man was stabbed

The two suspects are considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Homicide #72/2018, Alford Crescent and McLevin Avenue area, Rudolph Augustus Tyrell, 30

On Sunday, September 2, 2018, at approximately 1:52 a.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting in the Alford Crescent and McLevin Avenue area.

Upon arrival, officers located two men, on the ground, with apparent gunshot wounds. Both men were treated by paramedics and taken to hospital. One of the men was pronounced in hospital. The other man was treated for his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Rudolph Augustus Tyrell, 30, of Toronto.

The suspect is described as male, wearing a black hoodie, black shirt, baseball cap, black pants.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses and information.

Sexual Assault investigation, Kennedy subway station, Man wanted

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance identifying a man in an investigation into a Sexual Assault on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at approximately 5:30 p.m.

It is reported that:

- a 40-year-old woman was lying unconscious on the ground outside Kennedy subway station

- a man approached the woman and sexually assaulted her in front of various passersby

- a witness attempted to stop the assault by yelling at the man

- shortly thereafter, the man casually walked away

The male suspect is described as 60, pale white skin, 6'2", large build, short white hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt tucked into black casual pants, brown leather belt, black socks, black casual shoes with worn soles, fedora-style beige-and-white hat.

There are numerous members of the public who witnessed this incident. We strongly urge them to contact investigators.

Arson investigation, Bathurst Street and Bloor Street West area, Several garbage fires set

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a series of garbage fires set in the Bloor Street West and Bathurst Street area.

On Sunday, September 2, 2018, between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., a male suspect set fire to garbage left out for collection in the area bounded by Harbord Street to the south, Bloor Street to the north, Bathurst Street to the east and Palmerston Street to the west. A motorcycle was also set on fire.

The male suspect targeted addresses with large garbage items such as doors, sofas and mattresses.

The suspect is described as white, 6’, between 20 and 30. He was wearing blue jeans and a grey-and-blue top.

If anyone witnessed this incident, or has information, please contact police.
