Personal injury collision #34/2018, Chudleigh Road and Harvie Avenue

On Sunday, August 12, 2018, at 2:35 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Chudleigh Road and Harvie Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a man, 25, was driving a 2018 Toyota, westbound on Chudleigh Road, attempting to make a left turn to southbound Harvie Avenue

- a man, 32, was riding a bicycle, northbound on Harvie Avenue, at Chudleigh Road

- the cyclist was struck by the vehicle

The man received life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Fatal collision #40/2018, Highway 2A, east of Highland Creek Overpass

On Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 12:50 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Highway 2A, east of the Highland Creek Overpass.

It is reported that:

- a man, 57, was driving a Dodge Caravan, westbound on Highway 2A, approaching the Highland Creek Overpass

- a man, 20, was driving a Nissan westbound on Highway 2A, approaching the Highland Creek Overpass

- a man, 27, was on Highway 2A, east of the Highland Creek Overpass

- the 27-year-old man was struck by the Dodge, and then by the Nissan

The man received life-threatening injuries and was pronounced at the scene.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Man charged in Fail-to-Remain, Fatal Collision #42/2018, Ninth Street and Tenth Street

On Monday, August 13, 2018, at 11:01 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Ninth Street and Tenth Street.

It is alleged that:

- a man, 48, and a man, 40, were involved in an altercation

- the man, 48, received life-threatening injuries

- the man, 40, fled the scene in a Dodge

The 48-year-old man succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

The driver of the Dodge has been identified as Constantinos Hondrocostas, 40, of London, Ontario.

He has been charged with:

1. Manslaughter
2. Criminal Negligence Causing Death
3. Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Causing Death
4. Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death
5. Impaired by Drug

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in room 206.

Investigators are seeking dash-camera or security camera footage from local residents, businesses, and drivers, that was recorded between 11 p.m., on Monday, August 13, 2018, and 4:30 a.m., on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

Police seek assistance in Attempt Murder investigation, 31 Division, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service West Command Gun Violence Suppression Unit is seeking the public's assistance in an Attempt Murder investigation.

On Thursday, August 9, 2018, at 12:17 p.m., a vehicle was at the Yorkwoods Plaza, located at 2867 Jane Street.

It is reported that:

- an occupant of the vehicle fired multiple rounds from a firearm,

- a 31-year-old man was shot,

- he received non-life-threatening injuries


On Sunday, August 12, 2018, at approximately 2 p.m., a vehicle was at 2850 Jane Street.

It is further reported that:

- an occupant of the vehicle fired multiple rounds from a firearm,

- there were many people in the area at the time

The vehicle has been identified as a black BMW X3 SUV with black rims.

The occupants of this vehicle are considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach, immediately contact police.

Missing girl, Warden Avenue and Kingston Road area, Chloe Dolman, 14

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing girl.

Chloe Dolman, 14, was last seen on Monday, August 13, 2018, at approximately 2 p.m., in the Warden Avenue and Kingston Road area.

She is described as 5’5” with a medium build, blue eyes, and long straight blond hair. She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black yoga pants, and white running shoes.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Public Safety Alert, Seven fatalites from overdoses in downtown core, Believed to be Fentanyl or Carfentanil

The Toronto Police Service is warning the public about a batch of dangerous narcotics being sold in the downtown core.

Since Thursday, August 2, 2018, police officers have been called to a number of overdoses, seven of which have proven fatal.

It is believed that the drugs responsible are a deadly batch of fentanyl or carfentanil. Particularly dangerous, carfentanyl is 100 times more potent than fentanyl.

If fentanyl or carfentanil users encounter serious physical illness, they are advised to attend a hospital emergency room or a walk-in clinic immediately for treatment. For a referral to a substance-abuse treatment facility, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health can be reached at 1-800-463-2338.

Canadian National Exhibition, Friday, August 17, 2018, to Monday, September 3, 2018

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is Canada's largest annual community event and one of the largest in North America.

The CNE will take place at Exhibition Place from Friday, August 17, 2018, to Monday, September 3, 2018. There are no road closures as a result of this event, but heavy traffic congestion in the area will cause significant traffic delays. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes. It is recommended that patrons attending the CNE take TTC or GO Train.

Missing boy, Birchmount Road and McNicoll Avenue area, Norberto Leite, 13

The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance locating a missing boy.

Norberto Leite, 13, was last seen on Tuesday, August 13, 2018, at 7:20 p.m., in the Birchmount Road and McNicoll Avenue area.

He is described as 5’8”, with a slim build and dark-coloured hair. He was last seen wearing a light-blue tank top and faded grey/white jeans. He was not wearing shoes.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Arrest made and firearm seized in a shooting investigation, Wellesley Street and Ontario Street

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made and a firearm seized in a shooting investigation.

On Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers from 51 Division responded to multiple radio calls for the sound of gunshots, in the Wellesley Street East and Ontario Street area.

It is alleged:

- officers arrived on scene and located an unconscious man, suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck

- officers performed life-saving first aid on the man and waited for Toronto Paramedics to arrive

- as officers arrived to assist, they were provided information from the public

- as a result, officers located a man, who fled on foot from police

- after a brief foot pursuit, a man was arrested, and a firearm was recovered

- a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with ammunition was seized


Keeron Tashmel Creary, 26, of Toronto was arrested and charged with:

1. Attempted Murder
2. Point a Firearm
3. Discharge Firearm with Intent
4. Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
5. Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
6. Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
7. Point a Firearm
8. Unsafe Storage of Ammunition
9. Obstruct Peace Officer
10.Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order

He is to appear in court at College Park, on Wednesday, August, 15, 2018, at 10 am.

Arrests and drugs seized in a drug investigation, Augusta Avenue and Queen Street West

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests made in a drug investigation.

On Sunday, August 12, 2018, officers investigated three men found inside a motor vehicle in the area of Augusta Avenue and Queen Street West.

It is alleged that:

- the men were involved in a drug transaction

- the men were found to be in possession of heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil, and more than $2,000 in Canadian and US currency


Jason Sue, 36, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance - Heroin
2. Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance- Fentanyl
3. Possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule I substance - Carfentanil
4. Possession of schedule I substance- Heroin
5. Possession of schedule I substance- Fentanyl
6. Possession of schedule I substance- Carfentanil
7. Possession of Proceeds

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, August 13, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 103.


Hoc Chung, 50, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possession of schedule I substance - Heroin


Jianliang Wu, 45, of Toronto, is charged with:

1.Possession of schedule I substance - Heroin

They are both scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, September 24, 2018, at 9 am in room 114.

Missing boy located, Birchmount Road and McNicoll Avenue area, Norberto Leite, 13

Federal Inmate Wanted, Terrence Matheson, 43, Photograph Released

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E). Squad is requesting the public's assistance locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of his breach of a Long Term Supervision Order.

Terrence Matheson is 43 years old and is described as 5'5", 165 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a cross, rose, heart and star on his right forearm. On his left forearm he has a tattoo of a star, clouds and a tiger. He also has "T-Bone" tattooed on his chest.

He is currently bound by a Long Term Supervision Order relating to a Sexual Assault.

He is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area, Brampton and the Nottawasaga area.

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance identifying and locating a man wanted for several offenses.

On Thursday, August 9, 2018, a news release was released. See previous release.

On Sunday, August 12, 2018, a 17-year-old boy surrendered to police and was arrested. He has been charged with:

1. Three counts of Theft Under $5,000
2. Weapons Dangerous
3. Carry Concealed Weapon
4. Threaten Bodily Harm
5. Assault Intent to Resist
6. Escape Lawful Custody
7. Assault

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

Young People cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Photographs of the Young Person can no longer be published/broadcast.

Eyad Salloun, 15, was last seen on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 7:15 p.m., in the Toronto Eaton Centre.

He is described as 5’6”, with an average build and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy and white shirt, grey shoes and grey or navy pants.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Homicide #60, Martin Grove Road and John Garland Boulevard

On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 11:30 p.m., police responded to the sound of gunshots in the Martin Grove Road and John Garland Road area.

Responding officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital via emergency run. The man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced.

Homicide has taken over the investigation.

Traffic fatality #41/2018, Bellamy Road and Brimorton Drive, Marc Laurin, 29, now wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant

On Friday, August 10, 2018, at 8:57 p.m., a fatal collision occurred in the intersection of Bellamy Road and Brimorton Drive.

See previous release.

It is alleged that:

- a 71-year-old man was riding a motorcycle westbound on Brimorton Drive

- a man, driving a black Dodge Challenger, was travelling northbound on Bellamy Road

- the car struck the motorcycle

- the rider was pronounced at the scene

- the man fled the scene on foot

Marc Laurin, 29, of Toronto, is now wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant for:

1. Unlawfully at Large
2. Dangerous Operation Causing Death
3. Fail to Stop After Collision

He is described as 5'6", 160 lbs., with a medium build, short black hair, and he was unshaven. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants and a dark blazer.

He is believed to be in the Vancouver area. Police believe him to be violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Chidinma Ekenkwo, 24, was last seen on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at approximately 9 a.m., at Oakridge Park near Danforth Avenue and Leyton Avenue.

She is described as approximately 5’6”, 120 lbs., with a thin build and short bleached-blond hair. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeve green zip-up sweater, brown baggy pants and a light blue Jansport backpack.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Sexual Assault Alert, Man arrested, Ronnice Giscombe, 30

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a sexual assault investigation.

On Thursday, June 14, 2018, officers received a complaint of a historical sexual assault.

It is alleged that:

- in May 2014, a girl, then 15- years-old, attended the Kool Haus, located at 132 Queens Quay East

- she met a man who worked as a promoter at the club

- she was taken to a hotel nearby and sexually assaulted

It is further alleged that:

- in August 2017, the same girl, then 19-years-old, met the same man at the Dog's Bollocks Bar located at 817 Queen Street West

- she was taken to a house nearby and sexually assaulted


On Thursday, August 9, 2018, officers received a complaint of another sexual assault.

It alleged that:

- in 2014, a girl, then 14-years-old, met the same man at his apartment in the Claremont Street and Queen Street West area

- she was sexually assaulted

It is further alleged that:

- in 2014, the same girl, then 15-years-old, met the same man at his apartment in the Shaw Street and Queen Street West area

- she was sexually assaulted

It is further alleged that:

- in June 2015, the same girl, then 16-years-old, met the same man in the College Street and Lansdowne Avenue area

- she was taken to a nearby alleyway and sexually assaulted


On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, Ronnice Giscombe, 30, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Three counts of Sexual Assault
2. Two counts of Sexual Interference

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 111.

- on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., at Nathan Phillips Square , a 63-year-old man was at a demonstration

- he was assaulted by an unknown man

The man is described as in his twenties, 6'2", with muscular build and short brown hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt.
