Alessandra McNab, 30, was last seen on Friday, July 27, 2018, at 2 a.m., in the Beaty Avenue and Queen Street West area.

She is described as 5’6”, with a medium build, brown eyes, and long black hair in a ponytail.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Missing man, Downtown Toronto, Niran Bitan Zenkovich, now 24

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing man.

Niran Bitan Zenkovich, now 24, was last seen in July of 2016, in the downtown Toronto area.

He is described as 5'10", with a slim build and short dark hair.

The attached photo is believed to be from 2014 or 2015.

Fusion of Taste, Sunday, July 29, 2018, Road closure

The 12th Annual Fusion of Taste festival will take place on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

This year, the Festival takes place on Islington Avenue, between Albion Road and Wardlaw Crescent, between 12 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The organizers anticipate more than 20,000 people will be in attendance at this year's event.

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, a road closure will be in effect from 6 a.m. until Monday, July 30, 2018, at approximately 1 a.m.

Islington Avenue will be closed: northbound and southbound lanes from Albion Road to Wardlaw Crescent.

Motorists can expect delays in the area and should consider alternate methods of transportation.

The TTC will incur some service disruptions during this event. The Islington 37 bus will be on diversion using Albion Road, Kipling Avenue, and Finch Avenue West.

Firearms Investigation, Highway 27 and Finch Avenue West Area, Two people arrested and charged, Firearm and Ammunition recovered

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests in a firearm investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 2:40 a.m., police responded to a person with a gun call in the Highway 27 and Finch Avenue West area,

- an altercation ensued after a heated argument outside of a licensed establishment

- an 18-year-old man and a 39-year-old man were found to be in joint possession of a firearm and discharged two rounds into a group of people

- no one was injured

- officers located the two men and seized a loaded Intratec TEC-DC9 semi-automatic pistol, with thirty rounds of 9mm ammunition in the magazine

Inderpaul Flora, 39, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Two counts of Discharge firearm being reckless as to life or safety of another
2. Careless use, storage, handling firearm
3. Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate
4. Possess loaded regulated firearm
5. Possess a firearm obtained by crime
6. Transfer a firearm without authority
7. Possession of prohibited/restricted firearm
8. Two counts of possess a firearm while prohibited

Justin Singh, 18, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate
2. Possess loaded regulated firearm
3. Possess a firearm obtained by crime

The two men appeared in Old City Hall court, on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 101.

Police are also urging anyone who witnessed the shooting, recorded video on their cell phone or dash-camera in the area, or anyone who may have any information regarding this firearm investigation, to contact police as soon as possible.

Four people charged in firearm/drug investigation, The Queensway and Windermere Avenue area, Firearm recovered

On Friday, July 27, 2018, at 9:45 p.m., members of the Toronto Police Service 22 Division Major Crime and Community Response Units were patrolling the area of The Queensway and Windermere Avenue as part on an ongoing property and drug investigation.

It is alleged that:

- officers observed and followed a vehicle in an attempt to identify the occupants

- officers observed a drug transaction between the occupants of the vehicle and a man on the sidewalk

- officers continued to follow the vehicle to a nearby gas station

- the vehicle occupants were immediately engaged in another drug transaction

- plainclothes officers stopped the car from leaving and arrested all the occupants in the vehicle

It is further alleged that:

- in the process of the arrest a loaded .32 calibre, Court 9 Coupe “Unique” 765mm handgun with nine rounds in the magazine, and one in the chamber with the hammer cocked, and the safety off ready to fire, fell from one of the parties.

- a quantity of marijuana and crack cocaine was also located

Three adults and one young offender were arrested.

Dustin Maxwell, 25, of Toronto was arrested and is charged with:

1) Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate
2) Possess prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
3) Careless use, storage, handling of a firearm
4) Careless use, storage, handling of ammunition
5) Possess loaded regulated firearm
6) Possess a firearm obtained by crime
7) Possess a firearm with altered serial number
8) Occupy motor vehicle with a firearm
9) Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
10) Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance
11) Possess Proceeds of Property or Crime not Exceeding $5000


Ricardo Rhule , 27, of Toronto was arrested and is charged with:

1) Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate
2) Possess prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
3) Careless use, storage, handling of a firearm
4) Careless use, storage, handling of ammunition
5) Possess loaded regulated firearm
6) Possess a firearm obtained by crime
7) Possess a firearm with altered serial number
8) Occupy motor vehicle with a firearm
9) Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
10) Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance
11) Possess Proceeds of Property or Crime not Exceeding $5000

Leonilia Afrane, 27, of Toronto was arrested and is charged with:

1) Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate
2) Possess prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
3) Careless use, storage, handling of a firearm
4) Careless use, storage, handling of ammunition
5) Possess loaded regulated firearm
6) Possess a firearm obtained by crime
7) Possess a firearm with altered serial number
8) Occupy motor vehicle with a firearm
9) Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
10) Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance
11) Possess Proceeds of Property or Crime not Exceeding $5000


A young offender, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with:

1) Two counts of Fail to comply with probation

All parties appeared in Old City Hall Court Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 10 a.m. room 101.

Fail-to-remain personal injury collision #28/2018, Finch Avenue West, at Keele Street, Driver and vehicle sought

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 3:30 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Keele Street and Finch Avenue West.

It is reported that:

- a vehicle, described as a small, dark-coloured, sport utility vehicle, was southbound on Keele Street

- a man, 18, was attempting to cross Keele Street

- the man was struck by the vehicle

The 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver and vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision and were last seen travelling southbound on Keele Street. The vehicle may have damage to the front of the vehicle.

A number of drivers stopped at the scene shortly after the collision occurred. Police are asking anyone who stopped but has not yet spoken to police, to call.

Police are also asking anyone who may have dash camera or security camera footage of the area or collision to contact police.

Man arrested and two firearms recovered, Sheppard Avenue West and Chesswood Drive

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest and the seizure of two loaded firearms.

On Sunday, July, 29, 2018, at 3:26 a.m., officers conducted a liquor licence investigation in the area of Sheppard Avenue West and Chesswood Drive.

It is alleged that:

- a man left a licensed establishment

- he entered the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle and attempt to drive away

- police approached the vehicle to investigate the driver for being impaired

- the man tried to evade police and drove into three parked vehicles

- the man was arrested.

It is further alleged that:

- a loaded Sig Sauer P220 .45 calibre with eight rounds of .45 calibre ammunition and a Glock 17, 9mm calibre with one round of 9mm ammunition were seized

- heroin and cocaine were also seized

Yass Abdillahi, 25, of Brampton, was charged with:

1. Three counts of Possess Schedule I Substance
2. Two counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
3. Driving while ability impaired
4. Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
5. Assault with intent to resist arrest
6. Escape lawful custody
7. Six counts of Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
8. Two counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
9. Two counts of Possess a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
10. Two counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm in motor vehicle
11. Four counts of Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon
12. Two counts of Possession of a weapon
13. Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
14. Three counts of Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
15. Fail or refuse to provide sample
16. Two counts of Fail to comply with recognizance
17. Two counts of Possession of a firearm prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
18. Three counts of Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
19. Tampering with a serial number of a firearm
20. Fail to comply with probation order

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Monday, July 30, 2018, at 10 a.m., in room 103.

Jumart Buiza, 35, was last seen on Monday, July 30, 2018, 10:45 a.m., in the Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.

He is described as approximately 6', with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white Adidas baseball hat, white t-shirt with ‘Toronto’ logo, green khaki pants, and white sneakers.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Man wanted in Robbery investigation, Queens Plate Drive and Rexdale Boulevard area, Photograph of man released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in a Robbery investigation.

It is alleged that:

- in August of 2017, in the area of Queens Plate Drive and Rexdale Boulevard, a man pointed a firearm at bystanders in an attempt to rob them of personal belongings

He has been identified as Wesley Telfer, 26, of Toronto.

He is wanted for:

1. Pointing a firearm
2. Use firearm to commit indictable offence
3. Robbery with an offensive weapon

Efforts have been made to locate him but they have been unsuccessful. He is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area as well as the Windsor Region.

He should be considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Mei Li, 74, was last seen on Monday, July 30, 2018, at 3:45 p.m., in the Dundas Street West and Augusta Avenue area.

She is described as 5’3”, 115 lbs., with black hair with grey roots, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a 3/4-length dark green checkered overcoat, white t-shirt, black pants and black leather shoes.

She was also wearing a red lanyard with her keys and an identification card.

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 9:22 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Lakeshore Boulevard East and Winners Circle.

It is reported that:

- a man, 60, was driving a 2006 Acura TL, eastbound on Lakeshore Boulevard East, east of Winners Circle

- a man, 45, was attempting to cross Lakeshore Boulevard East

- the man was struck by the vehicle

The man received life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

On Monday, July 30, 2018, at 3:20 a.m., emergency services were called to the Church Street and King Street East area.

It is reported that:

- a man, 21, and girl, 17, were located unconscious in a park

- they were transported to hospital

It was later determined that both had suffered severe head injuries.

On Monday, July 30, 2018, at 2:27 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Warden Avenue and Fairfax Crescent.

It is reported that:

- a man, 36, was driving a 2010 Ford van, eastbound on Fairfax Crescent, attempting to turn left to northbound Warden Avenue

- a woman, 65, was attempting to cross Warden Avenue

- the woman was struck by the vehicle

The woman received life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

Fatal collision #38/2018, Norseman Street, west of Islington Avenue

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 10:29 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Norseman Street and Islington Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a man, 47, was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, eastbound on Norseman Street

- for reasons not yet determined, the motorcycle left the roadway, mounted a curb, and struck a tree

The man received life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

Hanna Bronstein, 24, was last seen on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 1:30 a.m., in the Ossington Avenue and Bloor Street Westarea.

Hanna also goes by the name “Sara”.

She is described as 5’6", with a thin build and shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing black pants and a peach-coloured top.

Police are concerned for her safety.
