Nickiesha Thomas, 32, was last seen on Friday, March 3, 2017, at 3 a.m., in the Sheppard Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue area.

She is described as slim build, black hair, last seen wearing a white shirt with brown horizontal stripes, black denim pants, and a beige coat with green panels on side.

Family and police are concerned for her safety.

Police seek assistance with Assault investigation, Adelaide Street and Jarvis Street East

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man involved in an Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Tuesday, November 19, 2016, a 46-year-old man was assaulted by a man on the northeast corner of Adelaide Street and Jarvis Street East

- the assault was unprovoked and the victim received life-altering injuries

The man is described as white, 30-40, 6'0", athletic build, medium-to-light-brown hair, clean-shaven. He was not dressed appropriately for the weather and was walking a small-to-medium brown-and-white dog.

The Montreal Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance locating a missing girl.

Émilie Bujold-Allaire, 17, was last seen in Montréal on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Investigators believe she might be in the Toronto area.

Arrest in $145,000 Fraud investigation, Man, 38, faces 435 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Fraud investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, an employer contacted police to report a fraud

- on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, the employer noticed several recent bookkeeping discrepancies

- upon detailed review, the employer noticed fraudulent cheques of varying amounts, between several dollars and $2,000, being cashed over a two-year period

- the fraudulent cheques were made payable and cashed by a former sub-contractor in the sum of approximately $145,000

- the financial institution was able to stop payment on five cheques

On Sunday, March 5, 2017, following a detailed investigation, the former sub-contractor, Murtazo Bahauddin, 38, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) 140 counts of Fraud - Under ($5000)
2) five counts of Attempt Fraud - Under ($5000)
3) 145 counts of Use a Forged Document
4) 145 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 2 p.m., courtroom 505.

Media advisory, Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 10 a.m., Central Toronto Academy, 570 Shaw Street, auditorium, Central Toronto Academy students educate peers about protecting themselves online

March is Fraud Prevention Month. Every day, youth engage in online and digital activities that put their reputations at risk. Some of these activities have made national headlines.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at 10 a.m, students at Central Toronto Academy, 570 Shaw Street, will be teaming up with community partners in an event called #DontBFooled to educate their peers about protecting themselves online.

This event is a joint initiative between TPS Financial Crimes and 14 Division. This event will be hosted by the Toronto District School Board at Central Toronto Academy. The aim is to enhance public outreach on financial crime, scams and consumer protection issues.

#DontBFooled will feature a series of dramatic presentations performed by Central Toronto Academy students that will be complemented by short speeches by engaging experts including:

• Detective Constable Warren Bulmer, TPS social media specialist
• Bonnie Levine, Victim Services Toronto

Jared Boivin and Sarah Moniz, grade 11 students at Central Toronto Academy, will serve as Masters of Ceremonies.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 10 a.m to 11 a.m., students and members of the public will be encouraged to tweet questions and comments at #DontBFooled hashtag on Twitter.

Following the event, selected students and Toronto District School Board representatives will be available for media interviews.

Because what youth do online can affect their future, including their finances, this event is being held during Fraud Prevention Month. For more information on Fraud Prevention Month in Canada follow the #FPM2017 hashtag on Twitter.

In addition, Prakash Amarasooriya a volunteer with Junior Achievement Central Ontario, the world’s largest not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to equipping students with job readiness, entrepreneurship and financial preparedness skills, will engage the students on how to make SMART money decisions.

The following partners will also be in attendance at the event to provide information and awareness through their respective display booths, located in the school cafeteria after the event.

Public Safety Alert, Warden Avenue and McNicoll Avenue area, Sexual Assault investigation

The Toronto Police Service is advising the public of a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a 53-year-old woman was walking in the Warden Avenue and McNicoll Avenue area

- a man approached the woman from behind and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot

- on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a 25-year-old woman got off a bus in the same area

- it is believed the same man approached this woman from behind and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot

The man is described as black with a darker skin tone, 5'-5'6”, with a thin-to-medium build, possibly in his early 20s.

He may have been wearing a dark bomber jacket, or an orange hooded jacket with black lines down the sleeves, and black jeans. He was carrying an orange backpack with tie-downs on the front in one report, and a dark knapsack or dufflebag in the other report.

Man, 22, faces 12 charges in home-invasion Robbery investigation, Sentinel Road and Finch Avenue West area

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest in a home-invasion robbery investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Monday, February 27, 2017, two men forced their way into a residence in the Sentinel Road and Finch Avenue West area

- the 21-year-old man living in the residence fought back

- one of the men was armed with a handgun

- the man began to strike the 21-year-old man on the head with the handgun

- the other man armed himself with a pair of scissors and began striking the 21-year-old man on the head

- both men ransacked the 21-year-old man's room and removed some property and cash

- both men fled in a waiting vehicle

- police located the fleeing vehicle and attempted to stop it

- the man intentionally drove his vehicle into the side of an unmarked police vehicle and escaped

- following an investigation, one of the men was identified

- on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 5:20 p.m., on Dundas Street East and George Street, officers observed the man entering a taxi

- the officers stopped the taxi

John Geddes, 22, of Toronto, was arrested.

It is further alleged that:

- at the time of arrest he was in possession of a loaded handgun and a large quantity of cash

He is charged with:

1) Robbery while armed with a firearm
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
4) Fail to stop
5) Flight from police
6) Unauthorized Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
7) Careless Storage of Firearm
8) Careless Storage of Ammunition
9) Possession of a Firearm knowing firearm is unauthorized
10) Unlicensed Person in Possession Restricted Firearm
11) Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm
12) Possession of Proceeds of Crime

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 10 a.m., room 501

It is alleged that:

- on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 2:15 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was in the Finch Avenue West and Sentinel Road area

- she was sexually assaulted by two men

On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, Niam Camsell, 23, of Toronto, was arrested.

A second man was still outstanding.

On Monday, March 6, 2017, Brandon Dwyer, 25, of Brampton, surrendered to police. He has been charged with:

1) Forcible Confinement
2) Sexual Assault
3) Gang Sexual Assault with a Weapon
4) Use firearm
5) Use firearm carelessly
6) Possession of a weapon
7) Possession of a restricted firearm
7) Possession of a restricted firearm without a licence
8) Possession of a loaded firearm
9) Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
10) Sexual Assault with a Weapon

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, 10 a.m., room 306.

Gun, ammunition, drugs seized, St. Clair Avenue West/Lansdowne Avenue area, Man, 60, faces 13 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest and seizure in a drug investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, March 5, 2017, police executed a search warrant at a home in the St. Clair Avenue West/Lansdowne Avenue area

- police seized a quantity of prescription medication with a street value of over $80,000, including, but not limited to, oxycodone, morphine, and fentanyl

- police also seized a .357 Lawman MK 3 handgun with six rounds of ammunition

Paul Stornelli, 60, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2) Careless Storage of a Firearm
3) Possess Unloaded Prohibited Firearm
4) Possess Prohibited Ammunition, Knowing No Authority
5) Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition
6) Careless Storage of Ammunition
7) Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine)
8) Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Methadone)
9) Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Oxycodone)
10) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Oxycodone)
11) Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl)
12) Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Hydromorphone)
13) Possession of Proceeds of Crime

He appeared in court on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Old City Hall, 10 a.m., courtroom 103.

Police request assistance with Robbery investigation, Superior Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West area, Security camera video released

On Monday, March 6, 2017, at 10 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a Robbery in the Superior Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West area.

It is reported that:

- a man responded to an advertisement for the sale of a laptop computer on an online classified advertising service

- he then made arrangements with the proposed sellers to meet at a building in the Superior Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West area so that he could make the purchase

- once at this location, he met with two men who identified themselves as the persons who were selling the laptop

- the man was then assaulted by the two men, who struck him with a handgun, stole a quantity of cash and a cellular telephone from him, and fled the area

- the man was later taken to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries

The two male suspects are described as:

1) black, early 20s, wearing a black jacket with a hood, black baseball cap, and dark pants.

2) black, with a light skin tone, early 20s, unshaven, wearing a grey, waist-length jacket, with a fur-trimmed hood, black baseball cap, with the Nike logo on front, and grey Nike running shoes

Man, 33, charged with Child Pornography offences

On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, members of the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in the Dupont Road and Dufferin Street area.

It is alleged that:

- a man accessed, made available, and possessed child sexual abuse material

Kye Fox, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) two counts of Possession Child Pornography
2) Access Child Pornography
3) Make Available Child Pornography

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 2 p.m., room 101.
