The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at approximately 1:35 p.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer was working in 52 Division
- the PEO placed a ticket on the windshield of a car parked on Charlotte Street near King Street West
- as the Parking Enforcement Officer continued checking cars for violations, a man approached the officer in a very aggressive manner, upset with the ticket his wife received
- the man assaulted the officer by shoving him twice
James Douglas Aitken, 43, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) Assault
He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, February 6, 2017, 11 a.m., courtroom 111.
