The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing woman.

Irma Perez, 65, was last seen on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 8 a.m., in the Queen Street West and Fuller Avenue area.

She is described as white, 5’0”, 108 lbs., brown hair, green eyes. She was last seen wearing dark-green knee-length shorts and possibly a brownish red tank top.

She is not familiar with the neighborhood.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Saturday, August 20, 2016, 12 p.m., to Sunday August 21, 2016, 8 p.m., Chinatown Festival, Spadina Avenue, from St. Andrew Street to Sullivan Street, Road closures

On Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 12 p.m., the annual Chinatown Festival will take place.

Road closures will be in place for all or part of the day:

- Spadina Avenue: southbound only on the west side of the street from St. Andrew Street to Dundas Street West.

- Spadina Avenue: southbound only on the west side of the street from Dundas Street West to Sullivan Street.

The festival will end at approximately 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016, but Spadina Avenue will remain closed until 11 p.m.

Motorists can expect delays in the area and should consider alternate methods of transportation. The TTC will not be affected. The festival will take place regardless of weather conditions.

Five men wanted in robbery/stabbing investigation, King Street West and Spadina Avenue area, Security camera images and video released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance identifying five men wanted in a robbery/stabbing investigation.

On Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 2:55 a.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing in the King Street West and Spadina Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a 21-year-old man was walking in the area

- he was approached by a group of five men

- one of the men grabbed his gold chains

- he was assaulted by all five men

- during the assault, he was stabbed, the knife was broken and left inside him

- the group ran away

Suspect #1 is described as black, dark skin, 5’9’’-5’10’’, 18-20, 210-220 lbs., white pants, white shoes, black T-shirt, multicoloured fisherman's hat.

Suspect #2 is described as black, light skin, 5’8’’, 18, black T-shirt, black pants, black shoes, beige "Gucci" hat, frizzy hair underneath, skinny build, 160-170 lbs.

Suspect #3 is described as black, 5’8’’-5’9’’, short hair, white T-shirt, light-grey pants, black-and-white shoes.

Suspect #4 is described as black, 5’8-5’9’’, blue sports jersey with black long sleeves underneath, "NY" Yankees baseball cap, bushy ponytail, dark pants, red shoes, with a grey backpack.

Suspect #5 is described as black, 5’9’’-5’10’’, Raptors #31 "Ross" jersey, black baseball hat, ponytail, black shorts with red stripes on the side and black running shoes.

Security camera video and images are now released.

The 21-year-old man's injuries required hospitalization for several days. He is expected to make a full recovery.

If any of these men are located, do not approach them. They are believed to be armed and violent. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Man, 34, arrested in Voyeurism investigation, Islington Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard area

On Sunday, August 14, 2016, members of the Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in the Islington Avenue and Rexdale Boulevard area.

As a result of this search warrant and investigation, on Monday, August 15, 2016, a man surrendered to police.

It is alleged that:

- a man made surreptitious recordings of a person under the age of eighteen

Luke Sertl, 34, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Voyeurism
2) Make Child Pornography
3) Possess Child Pornography

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Friday, September 2, 2016, 9 a.m., courtroom 202.

George Toth, 84, was last seen on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 5:45 p.m., in the Sheppard Avenue East and Birchmount Road area.

He is described as 5’7”, 200 lbs., heavy set, grey receding hair, blue eyes and clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing a blue checkered shirt and grey work pants. He was driving a gray 2006 Ford Windstar van with licence plate ABEL 174.

Police are concerned for his safety.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a suspicious man looking through open windows and curtains at night.

Since June 2016, police have received and investigated six reports of a man peering into the homes of women in the Dundas Street West and McCaul Street area.

The Toronto Police Service would like to remind the public to:

- remain vigilant and secure your house/apartment
- keep doors and windows locked
- draw curtains at night or if changing
- report suspicious behaviour to police immediately

Evgeni Ostrovski, 29, charged in home-renovation Fraud investigation, Police concerned there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Fraud investigation.

On Friday, June 3, 2016, police started an investigation.

It is alleged that:

- a man fraudulently collected money for services and materials that were never delivered

- the man created, and used, a fake sales order

On Monday, June 28, 2016, Evgeni Ostrovski, 29, of Vaughan, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Fraud Under $5000
2) Forgery
3) Utter Forged Documents

Police are concerned there may be other victims.

Matthew Maxwell, 26, charged in Human Trafficking Investigation, Police concerned there may be other victims

On Sunday, August 7, 2016, members of the Toronto Police Service Human Trafficking Enforcement Team, along with members of 41 Division, started a Human Trafficking investigation.

It is alleged that:

- a man convinced a 21-year-old woman to have sex for money

- the man made the woman provide sexual services, and forced various illicit narcotics on the woman to maintain control of her

- the woman attempted to avoid the controlled substances

- the man then threatened to inject her with the substances

- the woman did not want to work in the sex industry

- the man assaulted the woman and threatened her

- the man threatened members of her family in an attempt to maintain control and continue the sexual exploitation

It is further alleged that:

- on Monday, August 15, 2016, the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes Human Trafficking Enforcement Team, with the assistance of the TPS Fugitive Squad and 41 Division Community Safety Unit, located the man

- shortly thereafter, with the assistance of Peel Regional Police Tactical Unit, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed

Matthew Maxwell, 26, of no fixed address, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Trafficking In Persons by Recruiting
2) Procuring
3) Exercise Control
4) Material Benefit from Sexual Services
5) Financial/Material Benefit/Trafficking Person Over 18
6) Assault
7) Choking Overcome Resistance to Offence/Render Unconscious
8) Assault with a Weapon or Imitation Weapon
9) Forcible Confinement
10) Extortion
11) two counts of Uttering Threats/Death or Bodily Harm
12) Uttering Threats/Death or Bodily Harm
13) Assault with a Weapon or Imitation Weapon
14) five counts of Fail to comply with Recognizance
15) Uttering Threats/Death or Bodily Harm

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, 10 a.m.

Police are concerned there may be other victims.

Police would like to encourage all affected individuals to come forward and report Human Trafficking occurrences to police. We want to make sure that everyone has access to support services and an exit strategy, regardless of their decision to proceed criminally.

Kidnapping investigation, Leslie Street, near Dexter Boulevard, Composite image of one suspect released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a kidnapping investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Monday, August 8, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man, driving a newer-model white Mustang, was stopped at a traffic light, southbound on Leslie Street, near Dexter Boulevard

- a dark van intentionally made contact with the Mustang, causing a collision

- not realizing that the collision was intentional, the man had a brief conversation with the two men in the van

- all three agreed to drive to a nearby location, off the roadway, to assess the damage to the vehicles

- when they arrived at the location, the 20-year-old man exited his vehicle

- at this point the 20-year-old man was kidnapped by the two men

- the 20-year-old man was later released, at which point he reported the incident to police

Police are looking for two men and a composite sketch has been released of one of them.

Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision.

Marijuana dispensary search warrant executed, Three people facing drug-related charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests in a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

On Monday, August 15, 2016, at approximately 6 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at the Twisted Smoke Haberdashery, 1245 Dundas Street West.

Serge Beauchesne, 64, of Toronto; James McFarland, 33, of Huntsville; and Julian Hylwa, 37, of Mississauga, were arrested. Each has been charged with:

1) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Possession of a Schedule II Substance
3) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime

They are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, September 19, 2016, 9 a.m., room 114.
