The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a kidnapping investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Monday, August 8, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a man, driving a newer-model white Mustang, was stopped at a traffic light, southbound, on Leslie Street near Dexter Boulevard.
- at this time, a dark van intentionally made contact with the Mustang, causing a collision
- not realizing that the collision was intentional, the man had a brief conversation with the two men in the van
- the three agreed to drive to a nearby location, off the roadway, to assess the damage to his vehicle
- when they arrived at the location, the man exited his vehicle
- at this point he was kidnapped by the two men
- he was later released, at which point he reported the incident to police
Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
