Toronto Police Service Chief Mark Saunders and Toronto Police Services Board Chair Andy Pringle will be hosting the fourth community consultation session on the modernization of the Toronto Police Service on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, from 5 - 8 p.m., at the Learning Enrichment Foundation, at 116 Industry Street.

Members of the public are encouraged to read the Transformational Task Force Interim Report, in particular the report's 24 recommendations. The report can be seen here.

The session will include remarks from the Chief and the Chair and break-out tables designed to get the public's input on the future of policing. This consultation session will also be streamed live on the Service's Facebook page.

More consultation sessions are scheduled over the coming months. To find one near you, click here. Members of the public are also encouraged to submit their thoughts through email or video message. Visit the Have Your Say site for details.

Missing woman, Yonge Street and Dundas Street West area, Sara Jacobsen, 26

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing woman.

Sara Jacobsen, 26, was last seen on Monday, July 11, 2016, at approximately 3 p.m., in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street West area.

She is described as 5’4”, 140 lbs., with long, dark hair and brown eyes . She was last seen wearing an orange sleeveless blouse, a grey skirt, flip-flop sandals and sunglasses.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Police request assistance with shooting investigation, Vaughan Road and Oakwood Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance with a shooting investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Friday, August 5, 2016, at approximately 9:25 p.m., an unknown person discharged a firearm on Eleanor Avenue, west of Oakwood Avenue and Vaughan Road .

- one bullet struck a passing vehicle travelling north on Oakwood Avenue, narrowly missing the driver

- police located a number of shell casings

There are no known injuries.

Raymond Puddicombe, 75, was last seen on Friday, August 5, 2016, at 3 p.m., in the Anglesey Boulevard and Royal York Road area.

He is described as 5’6”, slim build, short grey hair and grey goatee. He was last seen wearing a light-beige long-sleeve shirt, ripped to the rear, black denim jeans and white runners.

Missing man, Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street area, Mariano Pena-Gonzalez, 89

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Mariano Pena-Gonzalez, 89, was last seen on Friday, August 5, 2016, at approximately 3:10 p.m., in the Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street area.

He is described as 6’2", slim build, bald with gray hair on the sides of his head. He was last seen driving a red, three-wheel scooter with a grey seat. He was wearing a black baseball hat with a yellow brim, white shoes, grey pants and a blue short-sleeve shirt.

He speaks only Spanish.

Police request assistance with shooting investigation, Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance with a shooting investigation.

On Saturday August 6, 2016, at approximately 4:40 a.m., officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a number of gunshots had been fired in the area

- when police arrived, they located a number of shell casings

- no victims were located at the scene

- shortly after the incident, two people arrived at separate Toronto-area hospitals with gunshot wounds

- each received treatment

- neither injury is considered to be life-threatening

Further investigation revealed that this incident is connected to a previous shooting incident a short distance away, a few hours prior.

Man, 29, facing 20 firearm- and drug-related charges in drug investigation, Danforth Avenue and Greenwood Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an ongoing drug investigation.

It is alleged that:

- between May 2016 and August 2016, officers from 54 Division's Major Crime Unit investigated drug trafficking in the Danforth Avenue and Greenwood Avenue area.

- during this time, a man was observed trafficking drugs in the area

- on Friday, August 5, 2016, the man was arrested

- at the time of the arrest, he was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic firearm and a quantity of drugs.

Jamaal Williams, 29, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Four counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2) Two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance
3) Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has Been Tampered With
4) Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
5) Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
6) Carrying Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
7) Three counts of Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing it's Prohibited
8) Three counts of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
9) Possession of a Schedule II Substance
10) Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, August 6, 2016.

Police request assistance with Indecent Act investigation, Yonge Street and Crescent Road area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an Indecent Act investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, shortly after 7 p.m., a 35-year-old woman was in the second-floor bedroom of her house in the Crescent Road and Yonge Street area

- she saw a man standing on the balcony that leads to her bedroom, staring at her, while committing an indecent act

- she yelled at the man and called 9-1-1

- he left the balcony

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, 5'7"-5'8", wearing a bright-blue-and- white baseball cap, dark long-sleeved black T-shirt, distressed colour canvas pants and construction-style boots.

Through a canvass of the area, police have located security camera video footage and images of the man from a nearby home and are requesting the public’s assistance identifying him.

Man wanted in Sexual Assault Causing Bodily Harm investigation, Markham Road and Kingston Road area, Steve Anthony Levy, 41

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public and seeking their assistance locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, August 4, 2016, a 25-year-old woman was approached by a man in the Markham Road and Kingston Road area

- the 25-year-old woman was taken to a private residence where she was sexually assaulted and physically beaten

The man wanted in this investigation is Steve Anthony Levy, 41, of Toronto.

He is wanted on the strength of a Warrant for:

1) two counts of Assault/Cause Bodily Harm
2) two counts of Sexual Assault
3) Forcible Confinement
4) Overcome Resistance/Attempt To Choke
5) Theft Not Exceeding $5000

He is described as 5'8", 165 lbs., black hair, brown eyes, with several tattoos on his upper torso and arms.

He may be driving a 2005, black, four-door Honda Accord with Ontario licence plate CABM 880.

Police seek assistance with robbery investigation, Don Mills Road and Lawrence Ave East area, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in a robbery investigation.

It is reported that;

- on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a woman, 30, was approached by a man while sitting alone in her vehicle in the Don Mills Road and Lawrence Ave East area.

- the man produced a black handgun and demanded cash from the woman

- the woman turned over her property and the man fled on foot

Police need to identify the man in the security camera images as a possible suspect. He is considered armed and dangerous.
