On Tuesday, April 5, 2016, the tow-truck industry has planned a day of awareness in and around the city. This event will disrupt traffic flow, into and out of the city, during the morning and afternoon rush hours.

The participants will travel to the city from several mustering points throughout the GTA (listed below). Such travel may cause excessive delays on municipal expressways, as well as city arterial and local roads, affecting residents, businesses and visitors. The participants will use the Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner Expressway to make their way to their final destination, Queen's Park.

One of the processions is expected to proceed southbound on the Don Valley Parkway, exiting at the Richmond Street East off-ramp, continuing along Richmond Street to University Avenue, then north on University Avenue to Queen's Park Crescent.

A second procession is expected to proceed eastbound on the Gardiner Expressway, to the York/Bay/Yonge Street off-ramp, proceeding northbound on University Avenue to Queen's Park Crescent. The expected time of arrival will be approximately 9:30 a.m.

The tow-truck operators are expected to encircle Queen's Park Crescent with their vehicles, using the inner three lanes, leaving the outer fourth lane unobstructed for all other traffic and emergency vehicles. The participants will then utilize Queen's Park – South Lawn from approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The goal of the Toronto Police Service is to provide a safe environment for all citizens and visitors. While respecting the rights of the participants, public safety will be the primary responsibility for the Toronto Police Service. The TPS, along with the Ontario Provincial Police, will monitor the highways to ensure safety for the commuting public and participants.

List of proposed staging locations for participants:

- Brock Road/Highway 401
- Woodbine Avenue, north of Steeles Avenue East
- Northeast corner of Keele Street/Wilson Avenue
- Highway 7/Highway 410
- Dixie Road/Queen Elizabeth Way
- Winston Churchill Boulevard/Argentia Road
- Mavis Road/Highway 401
- King City Side Road/Highway 400
- Don Valley Brick Works (Evergreen Brick Works) 550 Bayview Avenue
