Missing man, Neilson Road and Ellesmere Road area, Peter Ward, 68

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Peter Ward, 68, was last seen on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at approximately 3:45 p.m., in the Neilson Road and Ellesmere Road area.

He is described as having a slim build, approximately 5’10”, 140 lbs., with grey hair. He is wearing a dark-blue-and-red Tommy Hilfiger jacket, blue pants and white shoes. He wears glasses. He will have a red nylon overnight bag with him that he rests on his black walker.

Police are concerned for his safety.

On Sunday, April 3, 2016, at 1 p.m., at 51 Division, 51 Parliament Street, Homicide Detective Sergeant Michael Patterson will update the media on the investigation into Homicide #22/2016.

On Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2:03 a.m., officers came across a man lying on the sidewalk, near Parliament Street and Richmond Street East.

It is reported that:

- officers located a man suffering from trauma

- emergency medical care was administered

- the man succumbed to his injuries

The media scrum will not be available on the TOC and will not be live-streamed.

Missing woman, Victoria Park Avenue and Danforth Avenue area, Farzana Yasmin, 25,

Farzana Yasmin, 25, was last seen on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at approximately 9 p.m., in the Victoria Park Avenue and Danforth Avenue area.

She is described as 5'4", 130 lbs., medium build, with long, straight, black hair. She was last seen wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch T-shirt and brown shoes.

She is believed to be driving a 2011 Grey Lexus SUV, with Ontario licence plate BTBP 541.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Angela Miles, 17, was reported missing in January 2016 from the Scarborough area.

She was last seen in March 2016 at Bloor subway station, in the Yonge Street and Bloor Street area.

She is described as 5'9", 145 lbs., blue eyes, long black hair, with red bumps and marks on her face and arms.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Fatal collision #20/2016, Markham Road at Nashdene Road, Update, Picture and licence plate of suspect car released

On Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 9:46 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Markham Road and Nashdene Road.

Investigators have now identified the vehicle believed to be involved as a 2012 black Mercedes Benz CLS 550 with Ontario licence plate BYVK 272.

Pictures of a vehicle similar to the suspect vehicle are now released.

Police request help with Arson/Criminal Harassment investigation, Warden Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area, Ali Moshir, 43, now wanted

On Sunday, April 3, 2016, at 10:27 a.m., officers responded to a call for a fire in the Warden Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area.

It is alleged that:

- a man broke into a home in the area

- he doused the home with gas

- he set fire to the home and fled

- the home was destroyed

Ali Moshir, 43, of Richmond Hill, Queens, New York City, is allegedly responsible for this incident. He was also sought for the following charges from earlier this year:

1) Criminal Harassement
2) Break-and-Enter
3) Unlawfully in a Dwelling

He is described as brown, 5'10", 130 lbs., brown eyes.

He is considered violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a man wanted in a fatal hit-and-run collision investigation.

On Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 9:46 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Markham Road and Nashdene Road.

Saeed Maravvej Torbati, 25, of Ottawa, is now wanted in relation to this investigation.

Although he lives in Ottawa, investigators believe he comes to Toronto, frequently, for business.

His picture is now released.

Homicide #26/1994, Cold Case: Margaret McDonald, 80, YouTube video appeal

Homicide Detective Sergeant Stacy Gallant is appealing to the public to help find who murdered Margaret McDonald, 80, on June 24, 1994.

Police continue to investigate the murder and have fingerprints and DNA evidence from the crime scene.

A recent DNA phenotyping test has narrowed the suspect to primarily European ancestry, white, likely to have blue or intermediate colour eyes and dark hair, approximately 5'10" and 20 - 30 at the time of the offence.

The offender likely lived in the area or knew the midtown area well and likely had trouble maintaining relationships with women.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing man.

Casto Filazzola, 75, was last seen at 7:45 a.m., on Sunday, April 3, 2016, in the Dundas Street West and Crawford Street area.

He is described as 6'1", 170 lbs., grey/brown straight shoulder-length hair, brown eyes, and a short beard. He is possibly wearing a grey spring hooded jacket or a ¾-length green winter jacket.

Police are concerned that he is not dressed for the inclement weather and are very concerned for his safety.

Two men face 30 charges in Human Trafficking/Sexual Assault investigation, Drugs and a gun seized, Police believe there may be other victims, Update, New arrest made

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests made in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Sunday, December 13, 2015, the Toronto Police Sex Crimes - Human Trafficking Enforcement Team, with the assistance of the 54 Division Major Crime Unit, started an investigation into a Human Trafficking/Sexual Assault occurrence.

It is alleged that:

- a 20-year-old woman was picked up by a man known to her and driven to his home

- once in the home, she was introduced to three unknown men

- her acquaintance displayed a firearm and all four men sexually assaulted her

- she was then forced into a room at the residence and the door was locked

- several hours later, the four men returned and she was sexually assaulted again

- she was locked back up in the room

- the next day, she was taken to the Toronto Plaza Hotel, at 1677 Wilson Avenue, and kept in a room

- her acquaintance posted photos of her on backpages.com, advertising sexual services

- her acquaintance once again displayed the gun and ordered her to take a shower and prepare for additional clients

- she was able to escape and call police

It is further alleged that:

- on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed at a home

- the woman's acquaintance and one of the other men were located and arrested

- during the search of the residence, a loaded .357 calibre revolver and a quantity of cocaine were seized

Gavin Campbell (her acquaintance), 20, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Trafficking In Persons
4) Procuring or Exercising Control
5) Advertising Sexual Services
6) Use Firearm in Commission of an Offence
7) Careless Use of a Firearm
8) Sexual Assault with a Weapon
9) Contravention of Storage Regulations
10) Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
11) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
12) Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
13) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
14) Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
15) Careless Storage of Ammunition
16) Possession of a Scheduled I Substance (Cocaine)
17) Fail to Comply with Recognizance

Trian Vassel, 19, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Use Firearm in Commission of an Offence
4) Careless Use of a Firearm
5) Sexual Assault with a Weapon
6) Contravention of Storage Regulations
7) Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
8) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
9) Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
10) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
11) Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
12) Careless Storage of Ammunition
13) Possession of a Scheduled I Substance (Cocaine)

Both men were scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, 10 a.m., room 101.

Two other men remain outstanding and police continue to search for them.

Police believe there may be other victims.

On Thursday, March 31, 2016, Sex Crimes, with the assistance of 23 Division, arrested Keyon Small, 20, of Toronto.

He is charged with:

1) Assault
2) Sexual Assault
3) Sexual Interference
4) Forcible Confinement
5) Gang Sexual Assault

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Friday, April 1, 2016,10 a.m., room 507.

Police believe there may be other victims.
