Lovella Walters-Robinson, 73, was last seen on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 11 p.m., in the The Queensway and Roncesvalles Ave area.

She is described as 5’3”, 130 lbs, with black/grey, braided hair. She was wearing running shoes, and carrying a black bag.

Police seek assistance identifying man involved in bank robbery, Kingston Road and Morningside Avenue area, Security camera images released

Toronto Police Service Hold Up is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man involved in a bank robbery.

On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at 11:15 a.m., a robbery of a financial institution occurred in the Kingston Road and Morningside Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a man entered the branch dressed in a yellow high-visibility coat with two chest patches cut out

- the man passed the bank teller a note indicating he had a gun and demanded money

- the bank teller gathered up a quantity of money

- the man took the money and walked out of the branch

The man is described as white, in his 50s, 5'10" - 6'1", 200 lbs., clean-shaven. He was wearing a yellow fluorescent construction jacket with a grey reflective X on the back, yellow gloves with black palms, jeans, and a black-and-grey toque.

Security camera footage is now available on YouTube.

Police seek assistance locating Person of Interest in stabbing investigation, Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard area, Arthur William Robbins, 54

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance locating a Person of Interest in a stabbing investigation.

It is alleged that:

- in the early hours of Saturday, February 20, 2016, a man, 48, was stabbed in an apartment at 71 Thorncliffe Park Drive.

- the man received life-threatening injuries

Police are trying to locate Arthur William Robbins, 54. He is a Person of Interest in this investigation.

Man arrested in retail robberies, Matthew Jerome McNeil, 28, faces 13 charges

On Sunday, February 21, 2016, Toronto Police Service Hold Up charged a man with a series of five retail robberies or thefts in the Danforth Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue area.

It is alleged that, between Monday, October 26, 2015 and Sunday, February 14, 2016:

- a man wearing a scarf over his face attended retail locations and immediately vaulted over the counter

- the man encountered the employee, gained access to the cash register, and obtained a quantity of money

- on two occasions, when the employee was busy elsewhere in the store, the accused went behind the counter, opened the till, and removed a quantity of cash

Matthew Jerome McNeil, 28, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with:

1. three counts of Robbery
2. three counts of Disguise with Intent
3. two counts of Theft Under
4. five counts of FTC Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Monday, February 22, 2016, 10 a.m.

"Abuse it and lose it," Accessible Parking Permit enforcement campaign, Campaign results

The Toronto Police Service is committed to assisting people with disabilities in the community.

From Monday, February 8, 2016 to Sunday, February 21, 2016, the Parking Enforcement Unit conducted a heightened enforcement campaign entitled, "Abuse it and Lose it."

The campaign focused on the enforcement of accessible parking spaces, the misuse of accessible parking permits, and the detection and retention of counterfeit accessible parking permits.

Results of the campaign:

- 862 Parking Tickets issued for Accessible Spaces/Permits
- 293 Accessible Parking Permits Retained for Misuse/Counterfeit
- 1565 Accessible Parking Permits Inspected

Charges under the Highway Traffic Act have been laid and/or are pending for the 293 accessible parking permits that have been retained.

In 2015, the Parking Enforcement Unit seized 1057 accessible parking permits, and charged over 913 persons under the Highway Traffic Act for misuse.

The Toronto Police Service is committed to assisting persons with disabilities in the community. This campaign indicates a great need for enforcement and attention to accessible parking permit misuse, as 18.7% of all permits inspected resulted in permit retentions and pending charges.

Four TPS officers charged, Update, Three officers face total of five new charges

On Thursday, January 28, 2016, the TPS posted a news release, announcing that four police officers had been charged.

See previous release.

On Monday, February 22, 2016, three of the four officers were charged with a total of five new offences.

Constable Jeffrey Tout was charged with:

1) Perjury
2) two counts of Obstruct Justice


Constable Benjamin Elliot was charged with:

1) Obstruct Justice


Detective Constable Fraser Douglas was charged with:

1) Obstruct Justice


The additional five charges arise from the same set of circumstances as the initial charges.

Police seize high-powered assault rifle and ammunition, Victoria Park Avenue and Finch Avenue East area, Four people arrested, face total of 60 charges

On Monday, February 22, 2016, police executed a search warrant in the Victoria Park Avenue and Finch Avenue East area in relation to a firearm investigation.

It is alleged that:

- during the execution of the search warrant, a Norinco Semi Automatic Rifle and 144 rounds of high-powered ammunition were seized.

Kevin Alexander Douglas, 21; Michael Douglas, 55; Ashley Douglas, 19; and Joselyn Slaney, 27; all of Toronto, have each been charged with:

1) Careless Storage of Firearm
2) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
3) Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
4) Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Ammunition
5) Possession of a Firearm – knowing that its possession is unauthorized
6) Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – knowing that its possession is unauthorized
7) Possession of Prohibited Ammunition – knowing that its possession is unauthorized
8) Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
9) Possession of Prohibited Loaded Firearm
10) Possession of Weapon obtained by Crime
11) Possession of Ammunition obtained by Crime
12) Possession of a Weapon

Kevin Alexander Douglas, 21, of Toronto, was additionally charged with:
1) eight counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance

Joselyn Slaney, 27, of Toronto, was additionally charged with:
1) four counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance

All appeared in court at College Park on Monday, February 22, 2016, 10 a.m., room 507.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a 21-year-old woman was walking in the Keele Street/Wilson Avenue residential area

- a man approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her

The man is described as white, late 20s, 5'9", with an average build and several weeks' growth of a dark beard. He was wearing a black waist-length parka with white fur trim on the hood, and blue jeans.

Police are concerned for her safety.

55 Division's Crime Management Team, in the latest edition of “Wanted Wednesday,” is searching for John Fisher, 28 of Toronto.

He is wanted for:

1) Engage in Conduct to Impede the Administration of Justice
2) Threatening Death

He is described as 5'11", 140 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
