Four teenagers arrested in Theft, Break-&-Enter and Robbery investigations

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of recent arrests in Theft, Break-&-Enter and Robbery investigations.

It is alleged that:

- between Saturday, January 16, 2016 and Friday, February 12, 2016, officers from 55 Division received numerous reports of thefts, break-and-enters and robberies, mostly in the Main Street and Gerrard Street East area

On Tuesday, February, 16, 2016, a 14-year-old boy, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) two counts of Break-&-Enter
2) Theft of Motor Vehicle
3) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

He appeared in court at 311 Jarvis Street, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, 10 a.m., room 311-1.

On Tuesday, February, 16, 2016, another 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, both of Toronto, were arrested and each charged with:

1) Unlawfully in a Dwelling
2) Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
3) Aggravated assault
4) Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

They appeared in court at 311 Jarvis Street, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, 10 a.m., room 311-1.

On Wednesday, February 17, 2016, another 15-year-old boy, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Unlawfully in a Dwelling
2) Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
3) Aggravated assault
4) Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

He appeared in court at 311 Jarvis Street, on Thursday, February 18, 2016, 10 a.m., room 311-1.

Those charged cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act

Please refer to Section 110, Subsection 1, of the YCJA:

110. (1) Subject to this section, no person shall publish the name of a young person, or any other information related to a young person, if it would identify the young person as a young person dealt with under this Act.*

Missing boy, Kipling Avenue and Mount Olive Drive area, Hassan Quereshi, 10

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing boy.

Hassan Quereshi, 10, was last seen Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 3:30 p.m., in the Kipling Avenue and Mount Olive Drive area.

He is described as 5’, 140 lbs., medium build with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a green camouflage winter jacket, grey khaki pants, blue winter hat with blue stripes, with a pom-pom on top, and carrying a blue knapsack. He wears glasses.

Police are concerned for his safety.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing woman.

Odessa Wickland, 22, was last seen on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 10 a.m., in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue East area.

She is described as 5’5”, 200 lbs., black hair in a ponytail or bun. She was last seen wearing a blue Canada Goose jacket, blue Ugg-style boots, dark-blue pants, orange T-shirt and purple scarf.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Missing man, Crown Hill Place and Hill Heights Road area, Dimitrije Stevanovic, 20

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.

Dimitrije Stevanovic, 20, was last seen on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at approximately 2:40 p.m., in the Crown Hill Place and Hill Heights Road area.

He is described as white, 6’1", heavy build, with blonde hair in a ponytail with his head shaved on the side. He wears black-framed prescription glasses and was last seen wearing a "Spyder" brand black ski jacket with red vertical stripes and Under Armour grey/white pants.

Police are concerned for his safety.

This is the latest instalment of 14 Division's "Fugitive Friday." We are looking for Jason Lacroix, 33, of Toronto.

He is wanted on the strength of a Bench Warrant for:

1. Traffic in Schedule 1 Substance C.D.S.A.
2. Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime
3. Carry Concealed Weapon
4. Fail To Comply Recognizance

He is described as 5'11", 160 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his left arm that is described as "Chinese writing” and a dragon on his right arm.

Police warn that he is considered violent. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1.

Personal Injury Collision #10/2016, Secord Avenue at Dawes Road

On Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 1:15 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Secord Avenue at Dawes Road.

- a 31-year-old man was driving a 2012 Ford Econoline van, southbound on Dawes Road, attempting to make a right turn to westbound Secord Road

- a 74-year-old woman was attempting to cross Secord Avenue, on the west side of Dawes Road

- the woman was struck by the van

She was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Future Kaakunga, 14, was last seen on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 4 p.m., in the St. Clair Avenue East and Kingston Road area.

He is described as black, 5'10", heavy build, brown eyes, short black hair and has a mole under his right eye. He was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt, grey pants and a black and green sweater.

Ti Hanh Huynh, 65, was last seen on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 5:33 p.m., in the Martha Eaton Way and Trethewey Drive area.

She is described as 4’9”, 86 lbs, with black, straight shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a blue winter coat, grey sweat pants, and black shoes. She was carrying a purse and clear bag containing a pillow and towel.

Police are concerned for her safety.
