The Toronto Police Service is requesting public assistance locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, April 5, 2015, a man assaulted a 29-year-old woman

- on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, the man forcibly held and sexually assaulted the woman

- on Monday, June 22, 2015, the man forcibly held and assaulted the woman

- between Tuesday, June 23, 2015, and Monday, June 29, 2015, the man repeatedly harassed the woman

Colin Claude Buchanan, 31, of Toronto, is wanted on a warrant for:

1) three counts of Forcible Confinement
2) Sexual Assault
3) three counts of Assault
4) Assault Cause Bodily Harm
5) Harassment by repeated communication
6) Harassment by Watching and Besetting
7) Mischief/Tamper property Exceeding $5000
8) Breach of Probation

He is described as 6'2", 141 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.

55 Division's Crime Management Team, in the latest edition of "Wanted Wednesday," is searching for Jonathan Nolan, 32, of Toronto.

He is wanted for:

1) Assault with a Weapon
2) Unlawfully in a Dwelling
3) Two counts Mischief Under
4) Fail To Comply with Probation

He is described as 5'8", 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

Homicide #26/2015, Trey Theriault, 21

On Sunday, July 12, 2015, at approximately 10:20 p.m., police responded to a stabbing in the Kingston Road/Rockwood Drive area.

A man was taken to hospital, and later succumbed to his injuries.

He has been identified as Trey Theriault, 21, of Toronto.

Tyron Green, and Saleh Osman, both 18, of Toronto, have been arrested. They are each charged with:

1) Second-Degree Murder

They were scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Personal injury collision #31/2015, Buckingham Avenue at Dinnick Crescent

On Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at 9:37 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a personal injury collision at the intersection of Buckingham Avenue at Dinnick Crescent.

It is reported that:

- a black sport utility vehicle was travelling westbound on Buckingham Avenue

- a woman was crossing the intersection, from the south to the north side of Buckingham Avenue, when she was struck by the sport utility vehicle

- the woman fell to the roadway, striking her head on the ground

The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Homicides #6/2015 and #7/2015, Donny Ouimette, 25; Ryan Hind, 39, Result of investigation

On Saturday, February 28, 2015, at approximately 3 a.m., police were called to 1735 Danforth Avenue for a shooting.

Once on scene, police located two men with obvious gunshot wounds. They were pronounced at the scene.

The men were identified as Donny Ouimette, 25, and Ryan Hind, 39, both of Toronto.

Toronto Police Service Homicide was tasked with investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two men.

The two men had become involved in a physical confrontation with an armed uniformed private security officer who was working at a nearby location. During the altercation, the private security officer discharged his firearm, fatally wounding both men. The private security officer was subsequently taken to hospital where he was treated for a firearm-related injury.

TPS Homicide undertook a comprehensive investigation. Investigators consulted Senior Crown Attorneys and provided an overview of the circumstances surrounding the deaths. It was determined that there would be no reasonable prospect of conviction, therefore no criminal charges will be laid.

Trung Quoc Nguyen, 33, arrested in Human Trafficking investigation, Police believe there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service Human Trafficking Enforcement Team has arrested a man in connection with a Human Trafficking investigation.

It is alleged that:

- a 22-year-old woman living in Edmonton was lured to Toronto

- on Friday, July 10, 2015, the woman was provided with a plane ticket and she flew to Toronto, where she was picked up by a man

- the woman was taken to an apartment in North York, where other female escorts were working

- they were given various drugs for free

- male clients arrived at the apartment and the man negotiated the price and the sexual acts to be provided by the women

- the woman was then forced to provide sexual services to the male clients

- the male clients provided all of the money to the man and the women did not receive any money

On Sunday, July 12, 2015, the woman reported these crimes to police. Trung Quoc Nguyen, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Trafficking in Persons by Recruiting
2) Financial / Material benefit trafficking person over 18
3) Material benefit from sexual services
4) Procuring
5) Advertising another person’s sexual services

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be other victims.

Police would like to encourage all affected individuals to come forward and report Human Trafficking occurrences to police. We want to make sure that everyone has access to support services and an exit strategy, regardless of their decision to proceed criminally.

Police alerting public to arrest in Sexual Assault investigation, Paul Alexander Kubesch, 47, Police believe there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on the evening of Tuesday, July 14, 2015, a four-year-old girl attended a Walmart at 900 Dufferin Street

- a man approached the girl and sexually assaulted her within the store

On Tuesday, July 14, 2015, officers from 11 Division arrested Paul Alexander Kubesch, 47, of Toronto. He was investigated by officers from the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC). He was charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Sexual Interference

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, room 101.

Police believe there may be other victims.

Project Guardian, Update, Two arrests in Human Trafficking Investigation, one man still outstanding, Police believe there may be other victims

On Friday September 12, 2014, the Toronto Police Service Human Trafficking Enforcement Team started Project Guardian. This project is in relation to a local street gang, the Complex Crip Gangsters, allegedly operating a Human Trafficking ring in the Greater Toronto Area and across Ontario and Canada.

It is alleged that:

- an 18-year-old woman was procured and forced into the sex trade industry

- the woman was taken to hotels throughout southern Ontario where she was forced to work as a sex trade worker for approximately four months

- the woman was prevented from sleeping for days at a time and was forced to work

On Saturday, July 11, 2015, members of the Human Trafficking Enforcement Team and the Gun and Gang Task Force located two men wanted for Human Trafficking offences relating to Project Guardian.

Levi Alexander, 20, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Pointing a Firearm
2) Trafficking in Persons by Exercising Control
3) Material Benefit by Trafficking Persons
4) Procuring/Exercise Control
5) Material Benefit from Sexual Services
6) Uttering Threats
7) Assault
8) Overcome Resistance – Choking
9) Mischief Over

He appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10 a.m.

A 17 year-old boy was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) Trafficking in Persons by Recruiting
2) Material Benefit by Trafficking Persons
3) Procuring/Exercise Control
4) Material Benefit from Sexual Services

The Young Person appeared in court at 311 Jarvis Street on Monday, July 13, 2015, 10 a.m.

The name of the Young Person cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

As a result of the continuing investigation, a man has been identified for his alleged involvement in the Human Trafficking ring. A warrant in the first instance has been issued for Devone Nolan, 22, of Toronto.

He is wanted for:

1) Trafficking in Persons by Recruiting
2) Material Benefit by Trafficking in Persons
3) Procuring/Exercise Control
4) Material Benefit from Sexual Services
5) Uttering Threats

Police believe there may be other victims.

Witnesses sought in a personal injury vehicle collision

On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 4:30 a.m., police were called for a personal injury vehicle collision in the Eglinton Avenue West/Alameda Avenue area.

It is reported that a 30-year-old man and a vehicle made contact.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are asking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything leading up to or including the collision.

Missing woman, Muriel Samuels, 78

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance locating a missing woman.

Muriel Samuels, 78, was last seen on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at approximately 5 p.m., in the Dundas Street West/Beverley Street area.

She is described as 5'4", 100 lbs., with brown eyes, and a wig of short black hair. She was wearing a short-sleeved cream/beige dress with brown or black designs to below her knees with slits on both sides. She was carrying a green shiny purse.

She has dementia and police are concerned for her safety.

Missing man, Wei Jie Mei, 80

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Wei Jie Mei, 80, was last seen on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., boarding a westbound Lawrence Avenue East TTC bus at Lawrence Avenue East and McCowan Road.

He is 5'5", 160 lbs, with short white hair. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a white long-sleeved collared shirt, light-colored dress pants, and black shoes, possibly Crocs.

He has health issues and police are concerned for his safety.

Personal Injury Collision #31/2015, Buckingham Avenue and Dinnick Crescent, Update, Now Fatal Collision #34/2015

On Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at 9:37 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a personal injury collision at the intersection of Buckingham Avenue at Dinnick Crescent.

It was reported that:

- a 48-year-old man was driving a 2007 GMC Yukon, westbound on Buckingham Avenue, approaching Dinnick Crescent

- a pedestrian was attempting to cross Buckingham Avenue, on the east side of the intersection

- as the pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway, she was struck

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. On Wednesday, June 15, 2015, the woman succumbed to her injuries.

Public Advisory, Saturday, August 15, 2015, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Toronto Police College, 70 Birmingham Street, Woman's PREP Challenge

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Toronto Police Service will be holding its first Woman's PREP Challenge.

The Challenge will be to see who can complete the PREP circuit in the best time, and who can reach the highest level in the shuttle run. There will be prizes for those with the best times.

Those wishing to be considered must email a cover letter to the Recruiting Unit at policerecruiters@torontopolice.on.ca. This letter should outline your interest in joining the Toronto Police Service, as well as provide a brief explanation of your current fitness regimen and why you will be a suitable candidate for this event.

Please RSVP no later than Monday, July 27, 2015. Successful candidates will be notified by Thursday, August 6, 2015.

Police request assistance with Aggravated Assault investigation, Security camera video of suspects released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance with an Aggravated Assault investigation.

On Sunday, June 28, 2015, at approximately 2:15 a.m., police responded to an assault in progress in front of Cake Night Club, at 2114 Adelaide Street West.

It is reported that:

- an argument ensued between two groups of people

- one man was assaulted by four-five people from the other group

- the man was punched and kicked repeatedly and sustained serious injuries

One of the suspects is described as a white man, 6'1", wearing a white button-up shirt and black pants.

The other suspects are described as two men and a woman.

Security camera footage is now available on YouTube.

International Society for Krishna Consciousness Parade, Saturday, July 18, 2015, Road closures

On Saturday, July 18, 2015, The International Society for Krishna Consciousness will hold their 43rd annual religious and cultural parade.

The parade will start at 11 a.m., and will take the following route:

- southbound on Yonge Street from Asquith Avenue,
- eastbound on Queen’s Quay,
- northbound on Freeland Street which is the dispersal area

Traffic in the area will be interrupted to accommodate the parade. Motorists in the area can expect delays, and are advised to consider alternate routes. This event will take place regardless of weather conditions.

On Saturday, July 18, 2015, the annual Junior Carnival Parade & Festival will be held. As a result, the following road closures will take place:

- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: McLevin Avenue, from Sewells Road to Neilson Road
- 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Neilson Road, from McLevin Avenue to Finch Avenue

Motorists can expect delays in the area and should consider alternate methods of transportation.

On Friday, July 10, 2015, Roger Bristol, 43, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) four counts of Break-and-Enter

He appeared in court at College Park on Friday, July 10, 2015, 10 a.m., room 501.

Missing woman, Stephania Castro, 75

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing woman.

Stephania Castro, 75, was last seen on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., in the Yonge Street and Bloor Street area.

She is described as white, 5'8", 130 lbs., with shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing gold-rimmed glasses, a beige raincoat, black pants, blue-and-white shoes and carrying a bag with "Siemans" on the side.

Police are concerned for her safety.
