Missing Boy, Makia Jordan Mohammed, 8

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing boy.

Makai Jordan Mohammed, 8, was last seen on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 5 p.m., in the Clearview Heights and Trethewey Drive area.

He is described as 4'0", 70 lbs., and has shoulder-length 'corn row' braids. He was last seen wearing his school uniform, which is a plain white golf shirt and navy blue pants.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Missing man, Donald Macneil, 74

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.

Donald Macneil, 79, was last seen on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 10 p.m., in the area of Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue.

He is described as white, 5'6", 135 lbs., thin build, with short black and grey hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a plaid shirt. He also walks with a slight limp.

Police are concerned for his safety

13 Division neighbourhood traffic initiative, Monday, June 1, 2015 − Sunday, June, 14, 2015

Traffic safety continues to be a priority for the Toronto Police Service.

Beginning Monday, June 1, 2015, 13 Division will be conducting a neighbourhood traffic initiative.

Officers will begin a focused enforcement campaign targeting issues which have been identified by the community: distracted driving, seatbelt violations, stop-sign violations, drive wrong way and aggressive driving.

The campaign is designed to promote safe-driving habits, pedestrian/cyclist safety and public education. Officers will also be addressing community traffic complaints involving side streets, traffic congestion and other community-identified issues.

Fatal Collision #25/2015, Vehicle sought in fail-to-remain, Bloor Street West, west of Dovercourt Road

On Sunday, May 31, 2015, at 9:04 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision on Bloor Street West, west of Dovercourt Road.

It is reported that:

− a 39-year-old woman was attempting to cross Bloor Street West, west of Dovercourt Road

− as the woman crossed the road, she was struck by a westbound vehicle

− after the woman was struck, she was thrown into the westbound lanes and struck by a second vehicle

− the second vehicle came to a stop, the first vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision

The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced.

A vehicle of interest in relation to this collision is described as a 1986-1991, Mercedes Benz, S-Class, 4-door white sedan. The car will have damage to the left front area, and may have additional damage as well.

On Monday, June 1, 2015, at 1 p.m., at police headquarters, in the media gallery, Detective Constable Conrad Wong and Children’s Aid Society of Toronto Branch Director, David Fleming, will update the media on the investigation of Dewan Syed Mosiur Reza, 69, of Toronto.

Man charged in Sexual Assault investigation, Dewan Syed Mosiur Reza, 69, facing four charges, Update, New victim comes forward, additional charges laid, Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, May 3, 2015, a six-year-old boy attended the Summer Islamic School, that runs out of the Danforth Islamic Centre at 3018 Danforth Avenue

Following the previous news release, another victim came forward.

It is further alleged that:

- between January 2003 and December 2007, a boy, then 7-11 years old, attended a home daycare located in the Danforth Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue area

- the accused, who had access to this home daycare, sexually assaulted the boy

- between January 2007 and December 2011, the same boy, then 11-15 years old, attended a home daycare at 155 Heale Avenue

- the accused, who had access to this home daycare, showed the boy a sexually explicit video and sexually assaulted him

On Monday, June 1, 2015, Dewan Syed Mosiur Reza, 69, of Toronto, was re-arrested.

He was additionally charged with:

1) two counts of Sexual Assault
2) two counts of Sexual Interference

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park Courts, on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 2 p.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Public Safety Alert, Upper Beaches and Danforth Village

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a possible prowler in the Upper Beaches and Danforth Village area.

There have been two reports of an unknown man on the rooftops of homes in recent weeks.

The public is reminded:

- to lock their doors and windows when possible, particularly when not at home

- ensure that locks and windows are functioning properly

The man is described as white and was last seen wearing dark clothing.

If anyone observes an unknown man on a rooftop, or witnesses any other suspicious activity in the area, they are advised to call 911 immediately.

Personal Injury Collision #22/2015, Lakeshore Boulevard East near Leslie Street

On Friday, May 29, 2015, at 4:18 p.m., police responded to a personal injury collision at Lakeshore Boulevard East near Leslie Street .

It is reported that:

- a 44-year-old woman was driving a 2000 Porsche Boxster, westbound on Lakeshore Boulevard East near Leslie Street

- a 60-year-old man was operating a 2014 Mack cement truck, westbound on Lakeshore Boulevard East

- the truck struck the Porsche from behind causing the Porsche to lose control, where it subsequently struck a curb, then a light standard

The driver of the Porsche was transported to hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Paul Samo, 27, was last seen on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 3 p.m., in the Pharmacy Avenue/Ashtonbee Road area.

He is described as having a brown complexion, 5’11', 135 lbs., with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing grey track pants, a grey Old Navy hooded sweatshirt and black shoes.

Fatal collision #25/2015, Vehicle sought in fail-to-remain, Bloor Street West, west of Dovercourt Road, Update, Vehicle located

On Sunday, May 31, 2015, at 9:04 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision on Bloor Street West, west of Dovercourt Road.

On Monday, June 1, 2015, the registered owner's counsel told police that the vehicle was at 30 Dominion Road in Toronto, and it is a white 1991 Mercedes Benz, 420 SEL, 4-door (a photo of a similar vehicle is attached below).

Police are asking all business owners on Bloor Street West and business owners on Bloor Street East beginning at the Don Valley Parkway, to contact police if they have any video surveillance equipment recording the areas around their businesses.

Police are also asking the public, if they observed anyone operating this vehicle anywhere and any time between Sunday and Monday, to contact police.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at approximately 12:15 p.m., officers responded to an unknown trouble radio call in the Woodbine Avenue and Danforth Avenue area.

Officers arrived and found a deceased woman inside the apartment.

The identity of the woman is not being released, pending notification of next of kin.

Homicide detectives would like anyone who may have seen or heard anything to contact police.

The victim has been identified as Linda Scott, 65.

The suspect has been identified as Justin Scott, 25, of Toronto. He is wanted for:

1) First Degree Murder

He is described as white, 5'10", 170 lbs., with red hair.

If you see him, do not approach but call 9-1-1.

Media advisory, Cram-a-Crusier City Challenge kick-off, Wednesday, June 3, 2015, 9 a.m., Police headquarters, College Street courtyard

On Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 9 a.m. sharp, in the College Street courtyard of police headquarters, Pinball Clemons, Toronto Police, and the Toronto Police Auxiliary will kick-off the Cram-a-Cruiser City Challenge and begin the race around the city to collect food from TDSB schools.

They have until 2 p.m. to see if they can collect more food than Hamilton Police Service in the Cram-a-Cruiser City Challenge.

Food donations can also be dropped off at City Hall between noon and 12:30 p.m., during the "Hug City Hall" event with Mayor John Tory.

Two persons of interest have been identified and police are requesting the public's assistance determining their whereabouts on Sunday, May 31, 2015 and Monday, June 1, 2015.

The persons of interest are Kebreab Ashame, 34, and Deriba Wakene, 55.
