The Toronto Police is requesting the public’s assistance locating an elopee.

Justin Williams, 29, was last seen on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 1001 Queen Street West.

He is described as white, 6’, 175 lbs., brown eyes, medium build, and a shaved head. He has a tattoo of “J.W” between his thumb and index finger. He was last seen wearing a blue/grey sweater and blue jeans.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Man faces 26 G20 charges, Joel Saleem Bitar, 27, Property damage estimated at more than $400,000

The Toronto Police Service has charged an American man with 26 offences arising from the G20 Summit in Toronto in June 2010.

Joel Saleem Bitar, 27, from New York City, returned to Canada from the United States voluntarily and surrendered to police on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He was taken to 23 Division and processed on the outstanding Canada Wide Warrant for G20-related offences and held in custody.

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10 a.m.

It is alleged that:

- the accused used a hammer to smash the windows of a TPS police car, while a police officer was inside the vehicle, near the intersection of Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue

- the accused smashed the windows of a Starbucks on Queen Street West

- the accused smashed the windows and ATMs at a Scotiabank branch on Queen Street West

- the accused smashed the windows of a Subway sandwich shop on Queen Street West

- the accused threw a rock at a line of police officers

- the accused threw a rock through a window of a TD branch on Bay Street, and the glass struck both a security officer and a female customer

- the accused, in the King Street West/Bay Street area, jumped on a police car and then threw a rock at a police mini-van

- the accused used a pick-axe hammer and smashed holes in six panes of glass at Commerce Court

- the accused damaged the windows at a TD branch on Yonge Street

- the accused entered the Urban Outfitters store on Yonge Street and removed a retail store display item

- the accused went to the American Apparel store on Yonge Street, removed several of the mannequins and threw them into the street

- the accused and two other males took the metal base of a street caution sign and used it to smash a window at the CARLU on Yonge Street

- the accused smashed the windows at a Starbucks on Yonge Street

- the accused threw a large rock at a police mini-van, smashing the window

Joel Saleem Bitar, 27, has been charged with:

1) a total of 13 counts of Mischief over $5,000
2) Two counts of Intimidation of a Justice System Participant by Violence
3) Obstruct Peace Officer
4) Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon
5) Five counts of Mischief Endangering Life
6) Break-and-Enter with intent
7) Possession Property Obtained by Crime
8) Disguise with Intent
9) Common Nuisance

Missing woman, Arielle Cooper-Rolston, 22

Arielle Cooper-Rolston, 22, was last seen on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 6:40 p.m., in the Pharmacy Avenue/401 area.

She is described as having a medium-dark complexion, 5’4”, 145 lbs., with dark hair worn in a bun. She was last seen wearing a black coat with a black fur-lined hood and dark pants. She wears brown rimmed glasses and was carrying a black duffel bag and a hockey stick.

Police are concerned for her safety.

55 Division’s Crime Management Team, in this installment of “Wanted Wednesday,” is looking for Patricia Hogan, 35, of Toronto.

She is wanted for:

1. Criminal Harassment
2. two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation

It’s alleged that:

- numerous, continual phone calls are being made by the suspect and she is attending places where the victim is

She is described as white, 5’9”, 210 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has numerous tattoos, including two on her neck.

Muna Badu, 18, was last seen on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 7 p.m., in the Tandridge Crescent area.

She is described as having a light-brown complexion, 5’5”, 125 lbs., black hair, brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded vest, grey tights, and black Jordan runners.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Traffic death investigation, Avenue Road/Hillhurst Boulevard

On Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 9 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal-injury collision at Avenue Road/Hillhurst Boulevard.

It is reported that:

- a 57-year-old man was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Impala Maple Leaf taxi, eastbound on Hillhurst Boulevard, approaching Avenue Road

- the taxi entered Avenue Road on a green light and, for reasons unknown, left the roadway and struck a light standard

The driver was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. An 18-year-old female passenger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police request assistance with assault investigation Gerrard Street East/Woodbine Avenue area

On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, police started an assault investigation in the Gerrard Street East/Woodbine Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. two men were walking in the Gerrard Street East/Woodbine Avenue area

- the victims came upon a group of approximately 10 men

- a fight erupted, resulting in the victims being assaulted by the men

- the men fled the area

The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as 21-24 and 5’8”.

Since 2001, the Toronto Police Service, Toronto Emergency Medical Services and Toronto Fire Services have each honoured one of their outstanding communications employees as Communicator of the Year.

Chief William Blair, Toronto EMS Chief Paul Raftis and Toronto Fire Services Chief Jim Sales will present awards to the recipients of the Communicator of the Year award for each of the respective services.

Teacher faces four charges in sexual assault investigation, Christopher Parkin, 40, Photograph of man released

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- during the 2011 school year, a teacher at Forest Hill Collegiate Institute sexually assaulted a female student

It is further alleged that:

- in April 2013 the same teacher, teaching at Forest Hill Collegiate Institute,
committed the offence of Sexual Exploitation in relation to another female student

On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, Christopher Parkin, 40, of Toronto, was charged with:

1. three counts of Sexual Exploitation
2. Sexual Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Public Safety Alert, Lost medication

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a quantity of lost medication.

On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., a bottle of liquid Methadone and a quantity of Oxycocet, Clonazepam and Testosterone capsules were lost near the intersection of Kipling Avenue/Albion Road.

These drugs could be harmful/fatal if ingested, especially to children.

Sexual Assault Alert, Man wanted

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a report of a sexual assault on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at approximately 4:50 a.m.

It is reported that:

- a woman was on her way to enter Vari Hall on the York University campus when a man on a bicycle approached her and tried to engage her in conversation

- the woman refused and tried to enter the building, when the man sexually assaulted her

- the woman pushed the man away and he fled on his bicycle

The man is described as black, 5’6”-5”7”, 18-21, skinny build, 90-120 lbs., with a thin face and nose. He was wearing a black toque, dark jacket, possibly dark-brown or black, worn-out, thin winter jacket, dark khaki pants, and black shoes.

She was scheduled to appear in court at College Park, on Thursday, April 18, 2013, room 501, at 10 a.m.

Homicide #23/2012, John Raposo, 35, Update, Martino Caputo arrested and extradited to Toronto, Rabih Alkhalil remains in Greece, pending an extradition hearing

On Monday, June 18, 2012, at 3:32 p.m., police responded to numerous calls for the sound of gunshots in the College Street/Montrose Avenue area.

Police responded and located a man on the patio of the Sicilian Ice Cream Shop on College Street, suffering from obvious gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Saturday, February 16, 2013, Martino Caputo, 39, of Toronto, was arrested by the German authorities and held in Germany pending an extradition hearing.

On Thursday, April 11, 2013, he was returned to Canada on the following charges:

1) First-Degree Murder
2) Conspiracy to Commit Murder

He also faces drug-related charges held by the Niagara Regional Police Service.

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, April 18, 2013, room 101, at 10 a.m.

Rabih Alkhalil remains in Greece, pending an extradition hearing to Canada.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a suspicious incident at Gateway Public School.

It is reported that:

- on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 4:15 p.m., a man approached a 10-year-old girl, who was alone in a soccer field, and began to pull on her shirt sleeve with his hand and insisted that he walk her home

- the girl ran towards the school

- the man left the area

This man is described as brown, 30-40, 5’8”, medium build, short black hair with a moustache. He was last seen wearing a dark-blue zip-up hoodie, a white T-shirt, light-blue track pants and black shoes.

On Friday, April 19, 2013, at 10 a.m., a dedication of the Don Valley Parkway Bridge over Underpass Gate will be held in honour of two fallen Toronto police officers.

On February 27, 1972, Detectives Michael Irwin and Douglas Sinclair were killed by an armed suspect in the line of duty, while investigating a domestic dispute on Roywood Drive.

Members of 32 Division and the Toronto Police Service continue to remember Detectives Michael Irwin and Douglas Sinclair as fallen colleagues, as “heroes in life, not death.” In recognition of this, City Council approved signs placed on both sides of the Don Valley Parkway Bridge over Underpass Gate, following a motion put forth by Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong.

The dedication ceremony will be attended by the Irwin and Sinclair families, members of the community, politicians and members of the Toronto Police Service, including Dr. Alok Mukherjee, Chair, Toronto Police Services Board; Chief William Blair; OPP Commissioner Chris Lewis; Superintendent Selwyn Fernandes, Unit Commander of 32 Division; Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong, City Councillor for Don Valley East, Ward 34; Honourable Michael Coteau. M.P.P. for Don Valley East; Mike McCormack, President, Toronto Police Association; and TPS Reverend Walter Kelly.

Road closures will be in effect. Underpass Gate will be closed, in both directions, between Fenelon Drive and Roywood Drive on Friday, April 19, 2013, 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
