The Niagara Regional Police Service has asked us to post the following news release:

The Niagara Regional Police Service is proud to announce the Niagara Chapter of ProAction Cops and Kids. On Wednesday February 25, 2015 between 6 p.m., and 8 p.m., ProAction Cops and Kids in partnership with the Niagara Regional Police Service will host a launch event at the Crowne Plaza Rainbow Salon, 10th Floor, 5685 Falls Avenue, Niagara Falls.

ProAction Cops & Kids is a charitable organization that raises funds to support programs that are designed and delivered by police officers to engage at risk young people.

ProAction believes that bringing cops and kids together in pro-social activities creates positive relationships and builds a mutual respect and understanding that strengthens our community today and for the future.

Since 1991, ProAction has reached over 380,000 young people in police led programs across Toronto, Hamilton and Durham Region. All ProAction supported programs are free of charge ensuring those most in need have access to healthy skill building activities that are supervised by police officers.

ProAction is thrilled to have established a Niagara Region chapter in partnership with the Niagara Regional Police Service to bring these valuable life changing programs to youth in our community.

This event is by invitation only.
