The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of arrests made and search warrants executed in a series of thefts from across the province.
On Monday, February 9, 2015, at 6 a.m., five people were arrested and charged with various property-related thefts from a number of major department stores in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area.
It is alleged that:
- these five people attended a major department store
- they stole various items
- they were arrested and charged with these offences
- a search warrant was executed to retrieve the stolen property
- in the course of the investigation, officers found over $75,000 of other stolen goods
Margorzata Zakrzewska, 53, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Theft Under $5000
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Marta Zakrzewska, 32, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Sandra Zakrzewska, 25, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Zaklina Zakrzewska, 28, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Pawel Zakrzewska, 57, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
2) Theft Under $5000
They all appeared in court at College Park on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, room 507.
Police believe there may be more victims.
