On Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 7 p.m., the Toronto Police Service responded to a call for a stabbing near 1335 Lake Shore Boulevard West.
It is alleged that:
- an altercation occurred between two parties over a stolen necklace at the Caribbean Carnival parade along Lake Shore Boulevard West.
- as a result, one man was stabbed numerous times and suffered life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday, August 3, 2014, a 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged with:
1) Attempted Murder
2) Weapons Dangerous
3) Carry Concealed Weapon
He was scheduled to appear in court at 311 Jarvis Street on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, 10 a.m.
His identity cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
