Man charged with Sexual Assault, Shazad Abdul, 42, Lawrence Avenue East/Orton Park area, Police believe there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a sexual assault investigation:

It is alleged that:

- on Monday, August 4, 2014, at approximately 5:30 a.m., a 15-year-old girl was in the Lawrence Avenue East and Orton Park Road area

- she was approached by a man in a vehicle who was not known to her

- she was then forcibly confined and sexually assaulted inside the man's vehicle

- she was able to escape and contacted police

On Monday, August 4, 2014, Shazad Abdul, 42, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Sexual Assault (against a person under the age of 16)
2) Sexual Interference
3) Forcible Confinement
4) Invitation to Sexual Touching

Investigators believe there may be other victims.

Shazad Abdul's vehicle is described as a Red GMC Suburban SUV/truck. His photograph, and one of his vehicle, have been released.
