Public assistance sought locating man wanted in Human Trafficking and firearm investigations, Andre Stubbs, 33, wanted for 17 charges, Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a man wanted in two separate investigations.

It is alleged that:

- a man, driving a car, was stopped for a Highway Traffic Act investigation

- during the investigation, it was determined the driver was arrestable for drug-related offences

- the car was seized, the driver was arrested, then released on a Recognizance

- a subsequent search warrant was granted for a further search of the car

- a loaded firearm was located, concealed within a hidden compartment

Police have been unable to locate the driver since his release.

The driver has been identified as Andre Stubbs, 33, of Toronto. He is wanted for:

1) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
3) Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
4) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
5) Careless storage of a firearm
6) Unauthorized presence of a prohibited device in a motor vehicle
7) Careless Storage Ammunition
8) Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
9) four counts of Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order
10) four counts of Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order

It is further alleged that:

- between 2010 and July 2014, the same man forced a then-19-year-old woman into prostitution

- the man lived off the avails

- on one occasion, the man choked the woman to unconsciousness, and continued to assault her

- on one occasion, he kicked and threw the woman's small dog

- on one occasion, he assaulted her with a lit cigarette, then broke a drinking glass to slit her Achilles heel

He is wanted for the additional charges of:

1) Living off the avails
2) Killing or injuring animal
3) Choking overcome resistance
4) Assault bodily harm
5) Assault with a weapon
6) Aggravated assault
7) Fail to comply - Recognizance

Police believe there may be more victims.

He is described as black, 5'9", 190 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Andre Stubbs is asked to call police. If he is seen, do not approach, but call 9-1-1. He is considered armed and dangerous.
