On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at approximately 5:25 p.m., police received a report for a collision in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East.
It is reported that:
- a 58-year-old man was operating a Hyundai east on Eglinton Avenue East at Victoria Park Avenue
- the driver of the Hyundai drove around another motor vehicle in front of him and turned left (north) onto Victoria Park Avenue
- at the same time, a 41-year-old woman was crossing Eglinton Avenue from west to east in the north crosswalk
- the driver struck the woman in the crosswalk causing life-threatening injuries
The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
