On Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 10 p.m., three boys entered a convenience store in the Kennedy Road and Lawrence Avenue East area.
It is alleged that:
- the three boys entered the store armed with a gun and a canister of pepper spray
- the boys threatened the female employee and discharged the gun in her direction, then sprayed her with pepper spray
- one of the boys, a 16-year-old, was arrested near the scene in possession of a pellet gun
On September 1, 2013, a 14-year-old boy was arrested in Scarborough.
On September 3, 2013, a 15-year-old boy was arrested in the Warden Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East area.
They were each charged with:
1) Robbery while armed with firearm
2) Disguise with intent
The 16-year-old boy was also charged with:
1) Administering noxious thing
2) Pointing a Firearm
3) Assault with Weapon
The names of the Young Persons cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
