On Sunday, November 24, 2013, at approximately 8:10 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting in front of the North Kipling Community Centre/North Kipling Junior and Middle School at 2 Rowntree Road, in the Kipling Avenue and Finch Avenue area.

On Thursday, January 23, 2014, a warrant for First-Degree Murder was issued for Reshane Hayles Wilson, 23, of Mississuaga.

It is reported that:

- not long after the victim arrived at a basketball tournament at the Community Centre, he was sought out by others and shot

Investigation, thus far, has identified all of the persons believed to be responsible for the murder of Neeko Mitchell.

A warrant for the arrest of Reshane Hayles Wilson, 23, of Mississuaga, has been issued and police are requesting the public's assistance locating him. He may or may not be in the Toronto or Greater Toronto area.

Antony Kuliszewski, 51, was last seen on Monday, January 20, 2014, at approximately 10:30 a.m., in the The Queensway and Roncesvalles Avenue area.

He is described as white, 5'11", 220 lbs., with short brown hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black nylon jacket.

Public Safety Alert, Hotdogs located in two parks frequented by dogs, Balfour Avenue and Spanbridge/Linkwood Lane

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two separate incidents where hotdogs were found in areas frequented by dogs.

On Friday, January 17, 2014, at 12:18 p.m., a man was walking his dog in an off-leash park in the Linkwood Lane and Spanbridge area, when he located hotdogs in the park.

On Thursday January 23rd, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., a woman walking her dog in a park at 90 Balfour Avenue located hotdogs.

At this time, there are no reports of any animals who have consumed any hotdogs at either location, and there have been no reports of any animals falling ill.

The items have been recovered and sent to Forensic Identification Services for testing.

Anyone finding hotdogs or any other food out of place in a park is asked not to handle it and call police at 416-808-2222.

Sexual Assault Alert, Gerrard Street East and Logan Avenue, TTC security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault and requesting assistance identifying a man.

On Saturday, November 23, 2013, at approximately 1:50 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was on an eastbound Gerrard Street East streetcar.

It is reported that:

- a man entered the streetcar at Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street East

- the boy walked toward the rear doors of the streetcar to prepare to exit and a man forced his way towards the rear doors to where the boy was standing

- as the streetcar stopped near Logan Avenue, the man sexually assaulted the boy

- the boy exited the streetcar as did the man, in different directions

- the man walked northbound on Logan Avenue

The man is described as white, 35-40 , 5'10", 175 lbs. He had a slight goatee, a hoop earring in his left ear and a band-type tattoo on his right wrist.

TTC security camera images of the man and his tattoo have been released.

Maya Scott, 15, was last seen on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 12:15 p.m., in the Kennedy Road/Eglinton Avenue East area.

She is described as black, with a medium build. Her hair styles vary.

Lydia Harding was last seen on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at 10 p.m., in the Kennedy Road/Eglinton Avenue East area.

She is described as a black, 5'2", 145 lbs., with brown eyes, short black hair, and possibly wearing a weave.

She is know to frequent the east end of Scarborough.

Police are concerned for her safety.

He appeared in court on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 2201 Finch Avenue West.

Contrary to the previous release, the accused was not wanted for Break-and-Enter.

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, at noon, police, along with 200 agencies and shelters, will be picking up 3,000 Project Winter Survival Kits for distribution from The Bargains Group, at 890 Caledonia Road, to be distributed to the homeless and those at risk of being homeless across the GTA.

"Project Winter Survival has become a lifeline for those agencies who front-line poverty and homelessness," said Jody Steinhauer, Project Winter Survival founder. "These kits have become a vital tool to help outreach providers approach those living on the streets, to hopefully get them inside, eventually get them into transitional housing and end the cycle of poverty. No one should die from the cold. Unfortunately, the 3,000 kits that we provide can only offer marginal relief."

Now in its 15th year, Project Winter Survival is an Engage and Change initiative committed to helping those less fortunate endure the hardships of winter by providing such necessities for the needy as sleeping bags, blankets, winter hats, toiletries, bottled water, healthy snacks, etc. Since its inception in 1999, and including this campaign, Project Winter Survival will have packed and distributed 21,000 survival kits to those at risk of death by exposure to the elements.

On Friday, January 10, 2014, at approximately 7 p.m., five bottles of liquid methadone were lost in the Bleecker Street and Wellesley Street East area.

The liquid could be harmful if ingested, especially to children.

Four men face 16 charges in drug investigation, 49 kilos of cocaine and phenacetin seized

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, members of the Toronto Drug Squad - Major Cocaine Section concluded an investigation into an alleged cocaine distribution network.

Two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants were executed during the early morning hours of Saturday, January 25, 2014, at a condominium in the Sherway Gardens Road and The Queensway area, and at an apartment in the Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

- an estimated 25 kilograms of cocaine and 24 kilograms of phenacetin were seized from both locations

- the estimated street value of the drugs seized is $3 million

Bernard Brissett, 40, of Brampton, is charged with:

1. three counts of Possession for the Purpose Cocaine
2. Possession for the Purpose Marhiuana
3. two counts of Possession of Proceeds
4. Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence


Everald Brissett, 44, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possession for the Purpose Cocaine
2. Possession of Proceeds
3. Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence


Ervin Malcolm, 38, of Mississauga, is charged with:

1. Possession for the Purpose Cocaine
2. two counts of Possession of Proceeds
3. Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence


Gary Morris, 46, of Brampton, is charged with:

1. two counts of Possession for the purpose Cocaine

They all appeared in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, January 25, 2014.
