Search Warrant executed in drug trafficking investigation, Yonge Street and Isabella Street area, Man arrested and charged

As part of an investigation into drug trafficking, the Toronto Police Service 51 Division Major Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Monday, June 1, 2020. The warrant was for a tent in George Hislop Park, in the Yonge Street and Isabella Street area.

It is alleged that:

- drugs were sold from a tent

It is further alleged that drugs were seized from the tent. This included:

- 11.76 grams of fentanyl, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia including digital scales and baggies

On Monday, June 1, 2020, Anthony Spicuglia, 22, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

1. Three counts of Trafficking in Schedule I Substance
2. Possession of Proceeds of Crime
3. Two counts of Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
4. Fail to Comply Release Order
5. Two counts of Fail to Comply Probation

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 9 a.m., room 103.

Search warrant executed in drug trafficking investigation, Yonge Street and Isabella Street area, Three people arrested and charged

As part of an investigation into drug trafficking, the Toronto Police Service 51 Division Major Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Friday, June 19, 2020. The warrant was for a tent in George Hislop Park, in the Yonge Street and Isabella Street area.

It is alleged that:

- drugs were sold from a tent

It is further alleged that drugs and cash were seized from the tent. This includes:

- 76.22 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 16.23 grams of fentanyl
- $951.25 cash proceeds of crime

On Friday, June 19, 2020, Christopher Baksh, 39, and Maywell May, 32, both of Toronto, were arrested and charged with:

1. Two counts of Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2. Possess Proceeds of Crime

On Friday, June 19, 2020, Susana Matias, 44, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I
2. Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000

They were all scheduled to appear at court at Old City Hall on Saturday, June 20, 2020, 10 a.m., room 114.

Assault with a Weapon Investigation, Update, Second suspect vehicle located in Durham region

The Toronto Police Service has located a second suspect vehicle as part of an assault with a weapon investigation.

At approximately 6:10 a.m., on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, police received a report of unknown trouble in the Keele Street and Falstaff Avenue area.

Both stolen vehicles have been located and recovered by police. This is an ongoing investigation.

Durham Regional Police Service is assisting the Toronto Police Service in this investigation.

The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on the investigation into Homicide #16/2020.

On Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 7:41 p.m., officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots at O'Keefe Lane and Gould Street.

It is alleged that:

- police and paramedics located a man with an apparent gunshot wound

- he was pronounced deceased at the scene

Lashshantee Keslow, 21, of Toronto, was arrested on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. He has been charged with:

1) Second Degree Murder

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 9:30 a.m.

Media Advisory, Beverly Hills Drive Shooting Investigation Update, Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 1 p.m., Superintendent Steve Watts availability

On Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 1p.m., Superintendent Steve Watts, Organized Crime Enforcement, will update the media on the investigation into a shooting at 55 Beverly Hills Drive, Toronto, on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

The news conference will be available on the Bell TOC and live-streamed on YouTube.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, media may join online through WebEx. Please email Constable Jenifferjit Sidhu at jenifferjit.sidhu@torontopolice.on.ca for a meeting invitation.

Two Men Wanted in Shooting Investigation, 55 Beverly Hills Drive, Two arrests made so far, Video released

The Toronto Police Service is appealing to the public to help locate two wanted men as part of a shooting investigation.

At approximately 11.20 p.m., on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, officers responded to a shooting call at 55 Beverly Hills Drive, Toronto.

It is alleged:

- a large group of people were attending a memorial service in memory of homicide victim Dimarjio Jenkins

- many people attending the gathering were outside the back of the venue in a parking lot near Highway 401

- a dark coloured vehicle that was driving westbound on Highway 401 pulled onto the shoulder alongside the parking lot

- the occupant/occupants of the vehicle discharged a firearm towards the crowd

- ten people in the group outside brandished firearms and some returned fire in the direction of the highway

- the vehicle then fled westbound on Highway 401

- some of the people in the parking lot continued to fire shots after the vehicle had driven away

- numerous vehicles were driving on the highway at the time and could have been easily hit with stray rounds

- more than 60 shell casing of various calibres were recovered from the scene

Two men – both in their 20s - suffered gunshot wounds sustained in the parking lot and presented themselves at hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

Through further investigation by members of the Centralized Shooting Response Teams, it is further alleged that these subjects had been in possession of firearms and had been discharging them towards Highway 401 during the incident.

Gaddiel O'Neil Ledinek, 24, of Milton, was arrested and charged with:

1. Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound Endanger Life
2. Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
3. Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
5. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
6. Fail to Comply with Recognizance

Traequan Mahoney, 20, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with:

1. Discharge Firearm With Intent to Wound Endanger Life
2. Aggravated Assault
3. Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
4. Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
5. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
6. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7. Failing to Comply with Recognizance

Both are scheduled to appear at court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, July 3, 2020, at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. respectively.

With the assistance of specialized assets within the Toronto Police Service and the Peel Regional Police Service, investigators have also identified two additional subjects in the parking lot who are also alleged to have discharged firearms during the incident.

Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Terrell Burke Whittaker, 24, of Brampton, and Javontae Johnson, 18, of Pickering.

Investigators are actively trying to locate them and urge anyone with any information about there whereabouts to contact police.

Video has been released in a bid to identify those involved.

A news conference was held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, and can be viewed on YouTube.

Multiple Arrests and Firearms Seized in Shooting Investigation, Jane Street and Grandravine Drive

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of several arrests in a shooting investigation.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at approximately 12:20 a.m., the Toronto Police Service responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding reports of gunfire in the area of Jane Street and Grandravine Drive.

It is alleged that:

- officers attended the area and located two shooting scenes, which contained a total of 25 shell casings

- the shooting occurred after a white SUV, travelling southbound on Grandravine Drive, began shooting into a crowd that had gathered in the parking lot of 279 Grandravine Drive

- multiple people in the crowd responded to the gunfire by drawing their own handguns and returned fire towards the SUV

- the SUV then fled the area

- two men involved in the shooting were identified and arrested. As police made the arrest, the officers were swarmed by bystanders in the area

The Emergency Task Force, the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force, and officers from 31 Division, conducted search warrants on three residences in the area. It is further alleged that two semi-automatic 9mm handguns and ammunition were located.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, the following arrests were made:

Ricardo Bernard, 30, Toronto, has been charged with:

1. two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2. Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
3. two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
4. two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
5. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or restricted Weapon
6. Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7. Careless Storage of Firearm, weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
8. Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 10 a.m.


Sabrina Herdsman, 22, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1. two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2. Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
3. two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
4. two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
5. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or restricted Weapon
6. Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7. Careless Storage of Firearm, weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition

Jerome Walcott, 27, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1. two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2. Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
3. two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
4. two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

Omar Simpson, 29, of Toronto, has been charged with:

4. two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

6. Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7. Careless Storage of Firearm, weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 10 a.m.


A 17 year-old boy of Toronto has been charged with:

1. two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2. Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
3. two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
4. two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
5. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or restricted Weapon
6. Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7. Careless Storage of Firearm, weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
8. two counts of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 10 a.m.

Man faces child pornography charges, Spencer Parsons, 25

On Thursday, June 25, 2020, as part of an investigation into child luring, members of the Toronto Police Service Child Exploitation Section executed a Criminal Code search warrant in the Mississauga Road and Indian Road area of Mississauga.

As a result of evidence gathered by police, Spencer Parsons, 25, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with:

1) Luring a child under 18
2) Attempt Make Child Pornography

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 2 p.m., room 101.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Arrests made for three Homicides, Homicide #78/2018 and Homicides #52/2019 and #53/2019

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance with these homicide investigations.


On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, the Toronto Police Service issued a news release about Homicide #78/2018:


Homicide #78/2018,
4559 Sheppard Avenue East,
Victim identified

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 9:37 p.m., police responded to a shooting at 4559 Sheppard Avenue East.

Officers arrived on scene and located a man with a gunshot wound on the ground at the rear of the address. He was pronounced at the scene.

He has been identified as Jago Anderson, 19, of Toronto.



On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, the Toronto Police Service issued a news release about Homicides #52/2019 and #53/2019:


Homicides #52/2019 and #53/2019,
306 Grandravine Drive

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at approximately 8:21 p.m., armed men began firing shots in the area of Venetian Crescent just south of the Jane and Finch Mall.

The men then fired a number of rounds at a teenage boy. He sustained multiple wounds before escaping.

A short time later, at 9:04 p.m., the same men with handguns fired a number of rounds at homes in the area 2010 Sheppard Avenue West. Police investigated and it was identified that no one was injured.

At 9:29 p.m, two men were in a courtyard situated at 306 Grandravine Drive, when the same men fired a number of rounds at them. The two men were critically injured.

Officers and paramedics attended and began life saving efforts on the two men. They were both taken to hospital and later succumbed to their injuries and pronounced deceased.

The two men have been identified as Delauntae Bryant, 24, and Eric Rowe, 20.



Toronto Police Homicide officers were actively investigating and evidence led them to Jeziah Blair-Taylor, as allegedly responsible for both Homicides #52/2019 and #53/2019.

Further evidence pointed Jatorri Williams as allegedly responsible for Homicides #78/2018 as well as #52/2019 and #53/2019.

On Monday, October 28, 2019, Jeziah Blair-Taylor, 20, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Two counts of First Degree Murder (October 1, 2019)
2. Attempted Murder (October 1, 2019)

On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, Jatorri Williams, 19, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. Second Degree Murder (September 18, 2018)
2. Two counts of First Degree Murder (October 1, 2019)
3. Attempted Murder (October 1, 2019)

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West and 1911 Eglinton Avenue on Thursday, June 25, 2020.

Elopee, Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue area, Tesfaye Asefa, 41

The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance locating an elopee.

Tesfaye Asefa, 41, was last seen on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at approximately 1:10 p.m., in the Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue area.

Tesfaye Asefa is described as 5'7", 194 lbs., medium build, with short black hair, and a short beard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red multi-coloured plaid short-sleeve shirt, and burgundy shoes.

He is currently bound by a Form 49 "Warrant of Committal."

In April 2011, he was found Not Criminally Responsible for two counts of Sexual Assault.

If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

A Warrant of Committal is issued by the Ontario Review Board when a person is found Not Criminally Responsible in court. The Warrant of Committal "Disposition of Detention" commits the person to the custody of a provincial psychiatric hospital and subjects them to abide by certain conditions.

Andrew Omar Atkinson, 30, of Toronto.

He is wanted for:

1.Robbery with Firearm
2.Possession of a Restricted Weapon (Firearm)
3.Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

He is described as 5’10”, 150 lbs , with short dark hair, beard/moustache with brown eyes, and possibly wearing eye glasses.
