Jozefa Niciejewska, 68, was last seen on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at 2 a.m., in the Lakeshore Boulevard West and Long Branch Avenue area.

She is described as 5'4, 105 lbs., with a medium build, and short red and grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a black Calvin Klein hooded sweatshirt.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Halima Ali, 41, Meryam Ahmed, 9, and Abdurahman Ahmed, 6, were last seen on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at approximately 3 p.m., in the Dundas Street East and Sackville Avenue area.

Halima Ali is described as 5’9”, 141 lbs., with a medium build, black curly hair, and brown eyes.

Meryam Ahmed is described as 4’5”, 51 lbs., with a thin build, curly brown hair, and brown eyes.

Abdurahman Ahmed is described as 4’1”, 40 lbs., with a thin build, short black hair, and brown eyes.

Street robbery investigation, Six youths arrested, Avenue Road and Brooke Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests made in relation to a robbery that occurred in the Avenue Road and Brooke Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, November 8, 2019, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim was walking in the area of Avenue Road and Brooke Avenue

- the victim was approached from behind by six youths

- the victim was ordered to empty his pockets

- he was thrown to the ground, assaulted and choked

- he was robbed of personal items

- the youths fled on foot and were arrested by police nearby

Six boys, between the ages of 14 and 16, all of Toronto, were arrested and charged with Robbery.

They appeared in court at Old City Hall on Saturday November 9, 2019, at 9 a.m., in courtroom 101.

110. (1) Subject to this section, no person shall publish the name of a young person, or any other information related to a young person, if it would identify the young person as a young person dealt with under this Act.***

Man wanted in stabbing investigation, Yonge Street and Elm Street area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in a stabbing investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Friday, November 8, 2019, at approximately 4:20 a.m., there was an altercation between two men in the Yonge Street and Elm Street area

- a man was stabbed multiple times

The suspect is described as white, 6' to 6'2", 20-30, thin build, and was wearing a blue winter jacket with fur on the hood, blue jeans with rips on the left leg, a black baseball hat with a flat white rim and white logo, and black shoes.

The male is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

His photographs have been released.

Homicide #59/2019, 141 Davisville Avenue, Bethelhem Geleta, 22

On Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 12:32 a.m., police responded to a call for unknown trouble at 141 Davisville Avenue.

Responding officers entered a unit in the residential building and located a woman without vital signs and a man suffering from obvious trauma. Both were taken to hospital and later pronounced deceased.

The woman has been identified as Bethelhem Geleta, 22, of Toronto. An autopsy revealed her cause of death to be strangulation.

The man has been identified as Aboma Daba, 30, of Toronto.

The deaths are not being treated as suspicious, there are no outstanding suspects.

Elaine LaPointe, 46, was last seen on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., in the area of Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street.

She is described as approximately 5’2”, 110 lbs., with short, brown hair. She was last seen wearing, a green knee-length jacket, maroon shirt, dark-coloured track pants, and light-grey running shoes, with white laces.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Armed robbery investigation, Firearm seized and arrest made

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in an armed robbery investigation.

On Monday, November 4, 2019, at approximately 9:50 p.m., police were called for a robbery in the Ellesmere Road/Brimley Road area.

It is alleged that:

- a man attended the area and approached a food delivery person

- the man produced a handgun and robbed the delivery person of his credit cards, money, and the food that was being delivered

After an initial investigation, officers executed a search at the suspect's home on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

It is further alleged that the following was seized:

- a semi-automatic rifle
- an over-capacity magazine loaded with 27 rounds of ammunition

On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, a 37 year old woman, an 18 year old man, and four boys, all of Toronto, were arrested and each charged with:

1) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
2) Possession of a firearm knowing possession is not authorized
3) Possess of firearm with altered serial number
4) Unsafe storage of a firearm
5) Possession of a prohibited device

Two of the boys were additionally charged with:

6) Robbery with a firearm.

They are all scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, in courtroom 412, at 10 a.m.

The identity of the adults cannot be released as it would lead to the identities of the children.

Police seek assistance in identifying suspects for a rash of overnight commercial break and enters across the GTA, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying two people wanted in a series of commercial break-and-enters.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at approximately 2 a.m., two unknown people entered a salon in the Finch Avenue East and Middlefield Road area.

It is reported that:

- they entered the salon by smashing the front glass door

- once inside they obtained money from the register

The suspects had their head and faces covered and wore gloves.


It is further reported that:

- on Monday, November 11, 2019, at approximately 5:30 a.m., unknown suspects entered a salon located at Victoria Park Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East

- they entered by smashing the front glass door

- once inside the suspects took money from the register

- they fled in a late model Jeep SUV

The suspects had their head and face covered and wore gloves.

Security camera images have been released.

Arrests made in Firearm Investigation, Two young persons, Weston Road and Finch Avenue West area

The Toronto Police Service is notifying the public of arrests made regarding a recent Discharge Firearm Investigation.

On Friday, November 8, 2019, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the Weston Road and Finch Avenue West area.

A 14 year old girl sustained serious but non-life threatening gunshot wounds inside a residence. She was transported to hospital, where she was treated and later released.

The Toronto Police Service, West Command Gun Violence Suppression Unit commenced an investigation into the matter.

As a result of the investigation, two young persons were arrested and charged in relation to this event. These youths cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The youths are facing the following charges:

1) Discharge Firearm Being Reckless as to the Life or Safety of Another
Person
2) Careless Storage of a Firearm
3) Careless Use of a Firearm
4) Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
5) Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm without holding a License and
Registration Certificate
6) Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm knowingly not holding a
License and Registration Certificate
7) Possession of Firearm while Prohibited
8) Fail to Comply with Recognizance

The two youths are scheduled to appear at Old City Hall Court, 60 Queen Street west on Saturday, November 9th 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

Shooting/attempt murder investigation Kingston Road and Port Union Road

Officers are appealing for information as part of a shooting investigation.

On Saturday, November 9, 2019, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Toronto Police responded to a call for a shooting in the Kingston Road and Port Union Road area.

It is reported that:

- the occupants of two cars, both described as white Sedans, fired several shots at each other

- the cars were last seen travelling northbound on Port Union Road towards Highway 401

- a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was located by Durham Regional Police a short time later

- He was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Any motorists with dashcam footage, that were in the area at the time, are also urged to review the footage and contact officers with any relevant information.

Police Seek Assistance Identifying a Person of Interest in Shooting Investigation, Security Camera Images Released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in identifying a man in a shooting investigation.

On Saturday, November 9, 2019 at approximately 2:50 p.m., two men were driving in the area of Industry Street and Todd Baylis Boulevard.

It is reported that:

- a pick-up truck with unknown occupants pulled up next to the vehicle and began shooting

- a man sustained life-threatening injuries

The person of interest is described as having black hair that is long on top with shaved sides. He was wearing a black winter jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, a black Air Jordan sweater, black Air Jordan track pants, and black and white sneakers.

Security camera images of the person of interest have been released.

Man wanted in fraud investigation, Ridwan Oyeyemi, 27

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a man wanted in an ongoing fraud investigation.

It is reported that:

- between June 2017 to October 2018, a 61-year-old man met a woman on an online dating site

- an online dating relationship commenced through emails, text messages and phone calls

- the man was defrauded out of $20,840


It is further reported:

- between June 2017 to October 2018, a 60-year-old woman met a man on an online dating site

- an online dating relationship commenced through emails, text messages and phone calls

- the woman was defrauded out of $148,000

As a result of the investigation, a man was identified as Ridwan Oyeyemi, 27, of Toronto. He is is wanted for:

1. three counts of Fraud Over
2. three counts of Laundering Proceeds of Crime
3. three counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime

Police believe there may be additional victims and want to remind the public of the dangers of meeting unknown people online.

Cenotaph graffiti investigation, Bay Street and Queen Street West

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance after graffiti was sprayed on the Cenotaph at Old City Hall.

On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at approximately 7:20 a.m., officers launched an investigation into the graffiti.

It is reported:


- On the south face of the Cenotaph the words “YE BROKE FAITH” were sprayed in blue paint

- On the north face of the Cenotaph the words “WITH US” were also sprayed in blue paint

- It is believed to have happened sometime between 10pm on Monday, 11 November, 2019 and 7am on Tuesday, 12 November, 2019


Officers continue to appeal to anyone who might have seen the incident take place or has any information about it.

Kyong Suk Choi, 54, was last seen on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at 9:15 a.m., in the Yonge Street and Gerrard Street area.

She is described as 100 lbs., with a small build, dark, shoulder-length hair, and a fair complexion. She was last seen wearing a waist-length, dark, winter jacket, black and white scarf, dark-coloured pants, and black running shoes, with white soles. She was carrying a black and brown purse, and she also wears glasses.
