Shequille McLean, 21, was last seen on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 7:30 a.m., in the Warden Avenue and St Clair Avenue East area.

He is described as 6'2", 180 lbs., dark complexion, black hair, 4-5 days growth of facial hair. He is wearing a grey t-shirt, grey jeans, and black running shoes.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Zhebin Cong, 47, was last seen on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at approximately 4 p.m., in the Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue area.

He is described as 5'9", 200 lbs., heavy build, and short black hair. There are no clothing descriptions at this time.

He has trouble speaking English.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Man wanted in Aggravated Assault investigation, Queen Street West and John Street area, Images of wanted man released

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance identifying and locating a man wanted in an Aggravated Assault investigation.

On Sunday, July 14th, 2019, at approximately 10:35 PM, the victim was sitting on a TTC streetcar in the Queen Street West and John Street area.

It is reported that:

- The victim was sitting on a TTC streetcar;

- An unknown man was also on the same TTC streetcar and came up behind the victim;

- The man, without any provocation, stabbed the victim multiple times to his body;

- The man fled the scene.

The man is described as 20-30 years of age, wearing a grey hoodie with black trim at the elbows and wrists, black shorts, black shoes and a light grey backpack. The man also had a bike with a yellow water bottle.

The City of Toronto and the Toronto Police Service hear from residents who are concerned by the noise from vehicles that have been modified, altered or used in a way that is excessively noisy.

Loud and excessive noise can be characterized as noise that is a nuisance to the general public, taking into consideration the nature, location, time and proximity of the source to residents and members of the public. Examples may include a loud auto stereo or car, truck or motorcycle exhaust emitting sound to the extent it disturbs patrons at a restaurant, nearby residents or other motorists on the roadway.

Poor and dangerous driving, such as racing, stunt driving and squealing tires, is also associated with noise and this behaviour can put pedestrians and other vulnerable road users at risk.

Provincial laws and City of Toronto by-laws are in place to protect quality of life and permit enforcement against unnecessary:

• Vehicle horns and alarms (Highway Traffic Act, section 75)
• Loud mufflers/exhausts (Highway Traffic Act, section 75)
• Engine revving, squealing tires (Highway Traffic Act, section 172)
• General noise (Municipal Code – 591)

Officers from the City of Toronto Municipal Licensing and the Toronto Police Service Motor Squad of Traffic Services will be present to begin an awareness and enforcement action on Monday, July 15, 2019, at 8 p.m., at 34 Yorkville Avenue, between Bay Street and Yonge Street.

Mayor John Tory will be in attendance to observe this action and speak to reporters.

Superintendent Scott Baptist, of Toronto Police Service Traffic Services, will be present to answer questions relating to enforcement.

Kirupanathan KANDIAH, 66 years old, was reported missing on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 at approximately 9:30am.

The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on a Robbery investigation.

On Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at approximately 7:25 p.m., the victim was sitting inside a coffee shop in the St. Clair Avenue East and Yonge Street area.

The suspect in this incident has been identified. He is under 18 years of age and can't be identified under provisions contained in the Youth Criminals Justice Act. His image must be removed in all publications.

Geoffrey George Le Feuvre, 68, was last seen on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at approximately 12:40 p.m., in the Queen Street West and Ossington Street area.

He is described as 5’7", 234 lbs., heavy set, with short white hair, balding on top, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, black shoes, and prescription glasses.

He has been known to be violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Man charged in sexual assault investigation, Suhail Siddiqi, 33

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Sunday, July 14, 2019, at approximately 3:53 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Caledonia Road and Lawrence Avenue West area.

It is reported that:

- a 21-year-old woman ordered a ride share

- she was picked up by a man who said he was a ride share driver

- he drove her to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her

- he then stole her cell phone and forced her out of the car

On Monday, July 15, 2019, Suhail Siddiqi, 33, of Ajax, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Sexual Assault
2. Robbery
3. Overcome Resistance by Choking

He will appear at Toronto West courts on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 10 a.m., in room .

This is an on-going investigation.

He is described as 5’10”, thin build, 135 lbs., short black hair, brown eyes and a small black mole above the right side of his lip. He was last seen wearing black track pants, a Team Canada black hooded sweater with a Canada flag on the back and red stripes down both sleeves and runners. He was carrying a backpack and a small blue skateboard.

Fraud investigation, John James Illidge, 66, facing 18 charges, Update, Vincent Phillips, 74, facing 18 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a second arrest made in a Ponzi scheme fraud investigation.

It is alleged that:

- between 2009 and 2017, numerous people met a man through social media sites

- he identified himself as John James Illidge and portrayed himself as an investor for different companies

- these people provided him money ranging from $20,000 to $500,000 to invest into companies they were told he worked for or owned

- once the funds were given to and accepted by him, the funds were allocated through money transfers, cash withdrawals, car purchases and car payments, department store purchases, food and personal purchases

- he would provide them with small amounts of money he portrayed as interest payments over the course of a year or two convincing them they were profiting

- the people make numerous attempts to reach him but were never successful

- the total amount of money obtained from the different people who reported the matter to police was $955,980.50

The police investigation began in January 2018.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, Vincent Phillips, 74, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Five counts of Fraud Over $5,000
2) Five counts of Theft Over $5,000
3) Four counts of Launder Proceeds Of Crime
4) Four counts of Posses Property Obtained By Crime Over $5,000

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Ave West on Tuesday July 16, 2019.

Missing man located, Warden Avenue and St Clair Avenue East area, Shequille McLean, 21

Fatal Collision #27/2019, Barkwood Crescent at Cliffwood Road

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at approximately 2 p.m., police received a report of a collision at the intersection of Barkwood Crescent at Cliffwood Road.

It is reported that:

- A garbage truck operated by a 49-year-old man was travelling east on Cliffwood Road and made a left turn to travel north on Barkwood Crescent

- A woman, 68, was walking east on Cliffwood Road, crossing Barkwood Crescent in the north crosswalk. She was struck by the driver of the truck.

- The woman was taken to hospital and died as a result of her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.

- on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 12:45 a.m., in the Bathurst Street and King Street West area, a 19-year-old woman was entering a condominium elevator when two men entered the elevator behind her

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, Jevor Oshane Brown, 24, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Robbery with a Firearm
2. Forcible Confinement
3. two counts of Sexual Assault with a Weapon
4. two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault
5. Assault
6. Gang Sexual Assault

He was scheduled to appear at Old City Hall on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at 10 a.m., in room 101.
