On Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 10:33 p.m., officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the Ivy Green Crescent and Merkley Square area.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital via emergency run but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased in hospital.
The victim has been identified as Lawrence Taylor Gannon, 28, of Toronto.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
Investigators wish to speak to anyone who may have specific information on the victim's activities in the day leading up to his death.
The suspect is described as a man in his mid 20s, dark brown skin, thin build, 5'11", clean shaven. He was scene fleeing the area on foot.
