Arrest made in Firearms Seizure, Birchmount Road and St. Clair Avenue East area, Man Arrested, Faces 13 Charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest and firearm seizure.

On Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 4:10 a.m., officers conducted a highway traffic stop in the area of Birchmount Road and St. Clair Avenue East.

It is alleged that:

- police located a loaded firearm inside the vehicle


Joel Barnor, 36, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Use Plate Unauthorized
2. Drive Under Suspension
3. Fail to Comply - Recognizance
4. Careless Use of Firearm
5. Possession a Restricted Firearm
6. Possess a Restricted Weapon without being the holder of a Licence
7. Possess a Restricted Firearm knowingly not being the holder of a Licence
8. Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
9. Possess a Loaded Restricted Firearm
10. three counts of Possess a Firearm while Prohibited
11. Fail to Comply Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 10 a.m.

Missing man located, Dowling Avenue and King Street West area, Leonida Prejoianna, 63

Homicide #68/2016, 2067 Islington Avenue, Update, Three men face charges, Woman wanted

On Monday, December 19, 2016, at 8:49 a.m., police responded to 2067 Islington Avenue for a medical call.

It is reported that:

- a 9-1-1 call was received from the address

- police arrived and found a man with life-threatening injuries

- the man was pronounced at the scene

- after further investigation, Homicide investigators have taken carriage of the investigation

The victim was identified as Faysal Mohamed Hees, 26, of Toronto, a resident of 2067 Islington Avenue.

The post-mortem examination determined the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

On Friday, April 26, 2019, Adil Zeno, 21, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

- First Degree Murder

He is to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 9 a.m., in court room 111.


Mohamud Duale, 27, of Toronto, is facing charge of:

- Accessory after the Fact for Murder


Ahmed Abdi Siyad, 26, of Toronto, is facing charge of:

- Accessory after the Fact for Murder

Both men are expected to appear in court on Monday, April 29, 2019.


A female suspect remains outstanding and is believed to have fled from Toronto. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Monique Ibrahim, aka Rose Carter, 24, of Toronto, is wanted for:

- First Degree Murder

She is described as 5'1", approximately 100 lbs., slim build with long black hair.

Her photograph has been released.

Aariel Elliman, 12, was last seen on Friday, April 26, 2019, at approximately 9:26 p.m., in the Kingston Road and Warden Avenue area.

She is described as 5'7", thin build with black hair in corn rows worn in two buns. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, dark jeans, with red boots and carrying a blue backpack.

Police are concerned for her safety and well-being.

David Fernandez, 28, was last seen on Friday, April 26, 2019, at approximately 6:30 p.m., in the Caledonia Road and Lawrence Avenue West area.

He is described as 5'7", 130 lbs., slim build, light short brown hair, brown beard with hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown construction type jacket and brown suede shoes.

Sexual Assault Alert, Woodbine Avenue and Kingston Road area, Man Wanted

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance identifying and locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It has been reported that:

- on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at approximately 3 a.m., a woman was in her residence in the Kingston Road and Woodbine Avenue area

- a man gained entry into her residence and sexually assaulted her

The male suspect is described as white, between 20 to 30 years old, approximately 165 lbs., slim build, short dark hair on top and shaved on the sides, with a dark beard. He was wearing casual slim fit pants, hooded jacket with two white horizontal lines on the elbow, dark runners with white soles, and carrying a knapsack.

The boys were last seen on Sunday, April 28, 2019, 7:45 p.m., in the Markham Road and Eglinton Avenue area.

Hussain Alasadi, 14, is described as 5'2", with short black hair. He was last seen wearing ripped jeans and a black bomber jacket.

Hassan Alasadi, 16, is described as 5'6", with short black hair. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Man wanted for Assault and Utter Threats investigation, Tibor Toboz, 31,

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Tibor Toboz , 31, of Toronto.

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, a man attended an address in the King Street West and Jameson Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- the man assaulted a woman and fled


Tibor Toboz , 31, of Toronto, is wanted on a warrant for:

1. Assault
2. Utter Threats
3. Theft under $5,000

He is described as 5'11", 155 lbs., brown eyes, black hair, beard and mustache.

Man charged in Discharge Firearm Investigation, Loaded semi-automatic handgun seized, Martin Grove Road and Albion Road area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Discharge Firearm investigation.

On Sunday, April 28, 2019, at approximately 8 p.m., a 29-year-old man was in the area of Martin Grove Road and Albion Road.

It is alleged that:

- a man was armed with a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, while driving a vehicle

- for reasons not yet established, the man discharged his handgun numerous times into several residential housing units as he drove slowly past the complex

- multiple people were inside the units

- no injuries were reported

- officers from the West Command Gun Violence Suppression Unit were in the area on an unrelated investigation and witnessed the incident

- officers followed the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle but initial attempts were ineffective

- uniform officers assisted and the man was arrested after colliding with a parked car in the Jane Street and Shoreham Court area

- officers attended the area of the initial attempt at a vehicle stop and located a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun

- after a Criminal Code search warrant was applied for, granted and executed on the vehicle, officers found spent ammunition casings, live rounds of ammunition, and a holster for a semi-automatic handgun


Dwayne Senior, 29, of Brampton, faces charges of:

1. Careless Storage of a Firearm
2. Possess Loaded Firearm
3. Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm without holding a license and registration Certificate
4. Possess Restricted or Prohibited Firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration Certificate
5. Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm
6. Discharge Firearm being reckless as to the life or safety of another person
7. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
8. Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
9. Flight While Pursued By Peace Officer
10. Possession of a Prohibited Device

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, April 29, 2019, at 10 a.m.

The Toronto Police would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at approximately 3 a.m., a woman was in her residence in Kingston Road and Woodbine Avenue area

- a male suspect gained entry into her residence and sexually assaulted her

On Monday, April 29, 2019, Cayle Dupuis, 32, of Toronto, surrendered to police and was arrested.

He has been charged with:

1) Criminal Harassment
2) Possession of break-in instrument
3) Break and Enter with Intent
4) Sexual Assault
5) Prowl at Night

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at College Park Courts, 10:00 a.m.

Shooting investigation, Meighen Avenue and Donora Drive

On Sunday, April 28, 2019, at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting in the area of Meighen Avenue and Donora Drive.

It is reported that:

- a man, 29, was walking eastbound on Donora Drive and another man was walking westbound

- the two men became involved in an altercation at the intersection

- the male suspect took out a firearm, shot the man multiple times and fled southbound Donora Drive towards Medhurst Road

The injured man was transported to hospital via emergency run. He was treated for his injuries and is expected to survive.

The suspect is described as male, white, between 25 to 30, approximately 5'8" to 5'10", wearing all dark clothing.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police.
