Sexual Assault Alert, Man Wanted, Yonge Street and Finch Avenue West area,

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance identifying and locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at 8:30 p.m., an 18-year-old woman was walking on Beecroft Road in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue West area

- a man approached the woman, brandished a knife and sexually assaulted her

- the woman was able to flee from the man

- he fled the scene in an unknown direction

The man is described as 6’, 30- to 40-years-old, clean shaven, wearing a black 'Tilley'-style hat, and carrying a white shopping bag.

Kick-Off: Cyber Security Awareness Month #Fraudchat

Canadians are among the highest users of internet-enabled computer technology. A priority of the Toronto Police Service – Financial Crimes Unit is to make the public aware of issues of security and safety and help Canadians stay safe from cyber threats. #Fraudchat is running a five-week series during Cyber Security Awareness Month with our special guest the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

Whatever your place of business, creating a culture of cybersecurity is essential. These chats will cover the following topics:

• Week 2 Oct 10: Buy Secure
• Week 3 Oct 17: Our Data is Valuable
• Week 4 Oct 24: Our Critical Eye and the Internet

To follow #fraudchat, members of the public simply need to log on to Twitter from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and follow the #Fraudchat hashtag. An application such as “Tweetdeck,” which allows users to separately view tweets containing this hashtag, is also helpful in following the chat.

Leonida Prejoianu, 62, was last seen on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at approximately 4 p.m., in the King Street West and Dowling Avenue area.

He is described as 6’, with a thin build, short salt-and-pepper hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater, blue trackpants and black shoes.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Police seek assistance identifying men wanted in an Attempt Murder Investigation, Madison Avenue and Bloor Street West, Security Camera Images Released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying multiple men as part of an Attempt Murder investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 2:15 a.m., at a pub in the Madison Avenue and Bloor Street West area, two groups of men got into an altercation over a spilt drink

- both groups were expelled from the pub

- a group of men followed a 27-year-old man and his friends to a nearby parking lot

- one of the men stabbed the man with a knife while his friends punched and kicked him in the head repeatedly

- while the man was on the ground, another man picked up a large boulder and forcefully slammed it down on him

- the victim lost consciousness and sustained life-threatening injuries

Security camera images of the men have been released.

Federal Inmate Wanted, Shimon Abrahams, 37 Photograph Released

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting the public's assistance locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of his breach of statutory release.

Shimon Abrahams, 37, is described as 5'11", 166 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his neck with the name "Avony", one on his left forearm of praying hands and one on his right forearm of scripture writings.

He is serving a two year and four month sentence for Possession Of A Firearm With Ammunition and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle .

He is known to frequent Toronto, Barrie and the Kitchener/Waterloo area.

Cameron Woods lives in the Toronto area and was last heard from on Thursday, September 13, 2018. He is described as 5’9", approximately 150 lbs., with a slim build. He was last known to have short brown hair.

Public Safety Alert, Prowler Investigations, Man Wanted

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a man wanted in two prowler investigations.

It is reported that:

- on Thursday, January 22, 2015, in the area of Dixon Road and Highway 401, a woman came home and noticed a man in the backyard

- she alerted her boyfriend who checked the backyard and noticed a man walking down the street

- the man got into a beige SUV and drove away

After checking their home security system, police were contacted.

It is further reported that:

- when the man was in the backyard, he took a ladder and placed it against the house

- he climbed the ladder and looked into a bathroom window

Security video is being released.

It is also reported that:

- on Friday, July 13, 2018, in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and Renforth Drive, two women were sitting in the backyard

- they noticed a man in the neighbour’s backyard, committing an indecent act

- he fled the area

He is described as 6’-6’2”, with a medium build, wearing a dark-coloured jacket, a white shirt and dark pants.

After seeing the security video of the 2015 incident, the women contacted police indicating they believed it was the same man responsible for the 2018 incident.

Two men charged in Fraud investigation, Project 'Under'

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in a fraud investigation.

The 'Toronto Strategic Partnership' is a collaboration of the Toronto Police Service, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Competition Bureau of Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, the Ontario Ministry of Finance, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

In July 2018, officers assigned to the Strategic Partnership commenced an investigation dubbed Project “Under.”

It is alleged that:

- two men continuously participated in a scheme to defraud individuals and businesses using stolen/altered business cheques

- people were contacted by the men posing as legitimate customers seeking services that required disbursement of funds

- people were provided with high denomination altered cheques, they deposited them, forwarding funds to accounts controlled by the men

- the people would be informed the cheques were forgeries, and were held responsible for losses

- many of the victims targeted were American lawyers providing business services

The investigation was assisted by York Regional Police, United States Postal Inspection Service, FBI, US Homeland Security Investigations, and postal inspectors with Canada Post Security and Investigations.

On Wednesday, September 26, 2018, Criminal Code Search warrants were executed at five locations in Toronto, Peel, and York Region.

Pius Idahosa, 48, of Vaughan, is charged with:

1. Two counts of Defraud the Public -Over $5000
2. Six counts of Used Forged Document
3. Possess Instruments of Forgery
4. Possess Forged Document
5. Forgery
6. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime


Otis Idahosa, 54, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Defraud the Public - Over $5000
2. Six counts of Use Forged Document
3. Possess Instruments of Forgery
4. Possess Forged Document
5. Forgery
6. Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime - Under $5000


They are scheduled to appear at Toronto West Courts on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at 10 a.m., in courtroom 204.

The Toronto Police Service would like to remind businesses and individuals to take all reasonable precautions to ensure the cheques they accept are legitimate and relate to transactions that have been fully validated prior to forwarding any associated funds to a third party.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a quantity of lost medication.

It is reported that:

- on Monday, October 1, 2018, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., a container of 42 Methadone pills was lost in the Butterick Road or Charles Street East area

The pills could be harmful/fatal if ingested, especially to children.

Brandon McRae, 33, was last seen during the morning hours of Monday, October 1, 2018, in the area of Ozark Crescent and Cambridge Avenue.

He is described as 6’1", with an average build, bald, salt/pepper hair on the sides above his ears, and he is unshaven. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, grey track pants, and high top "hot pink" running shoes. He walks with a hunch.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Personal Injury Collision #43/2018, The Queensway near Ellis Avenue

On Monday, October 1, 2018, at 6:22 a.m., police responded to a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a TTC streetcar in the The Queensway and Ellis Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a 53-year-old man was walking on the dedicated streetcar right-of-way

- a TTC streetcar was travelling eastbound and engaged its emergency braking system

- the man was struck by the TTC streetcar

- the man was injured and fell under the streetcar

- the man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Traffic Services is investigating and are seeking the assistance of local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident to contact investigators.

Homicide #79/2018, Update, Man wanted for First Degree Murder, Sepehr Yeganehfathollah, 25

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 8:05 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a 9-1-1 call for a stabbing at the corner of Yonge Street and Wedgewood Drive.

Through investigation and community participation a man has been identified. A Canada Wide Warrant has been issued for Sepehr Yeganehfathollah, 25, of Toronto.

He is wanted for:

1. First Degree Murder

He is described as 5'8", with a medium build. He has a mole on his left cheek. His hair is currently very short on the sides and long on the top – a 'fade'-style haircut and a short beard. He is known to work as a hair stylist.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If located contact 9-1-1 immediately. He is aware he is wanted and anyone assisting him will be investigated and charged.

Assistance sought locating and identifying a missing woman, Coxwell Avenue and Mortimer Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying and locating a missing woman.

On Monday, October 1, 2018, a woman was admitted to hospital in the Coxwell Avenue and Mortimer Avenue area. While under medical care, during the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the woman left. Her whereabouts and identity are unknown.

Police are concerned for her well-being.

He is described as 6’2”, with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a grey winter jacket, a beige golf shirt (with sunglasses hanging from the collar), and Adidas flip-flops.
