Dennis Chow, 40, was last seen on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m., in the McCowan Road and Ellesmere Road area.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing girl.

Julia Ly, 15, was last seen on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., in the Finch Avenue West and Weston Road area.

She is described as 5', long black hair. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt, red jacket, pink-and-orange shorts.

Police are concerned for her safety.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance with an Abduction investigation that was originally reported as a missing man.

It was reported that:

- Jammar Allison, 26, was last seen on Friday, June 1, 2018, at 10 p.m., in the Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 427 area

Investigators believe, on the basis of new information, that:

- he was last seen being escorted into a dark Caravan with tinted windows

Pride Streetfair, Friday, June 22, 2018, to Sunday, June 24, 2018, Road closures

Pride Toronto will celebrate Pride Month with a "Streetfair" contained in the Church and Wellesley Village community. The road closure for this Streetfair will begin on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 10 a.m., and conclude on Monday, June 25, 2018, at 6 a.m.

On Friday, June 22, 2018, at 10 p.m., Church Street will be fully closed to all vehicular traffic from the north side of Dundas Street East to the south side of Hayden Street. Wellesley Street East will also be closed from Yonge Street to Jarvis Street during this time period.

Numerous TTC routes will be diverted during this time.

Drivers in the area may experience traffic delays during the event.

This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

Pride Trans March, Friday, June 22, 2018, Road closures

Pride Toronto has organized the Trans March to take place on Friday, June 22, 2018.

The event will begin at the Pride Festival Street Festival, North Stage, at Church Street and Isabella Street, at 8 p.m. It will wind its way through the downtown core, ending at Allan Gardens at 10 p.m.

A rolling road closure will take place in association with the march. Street lanes along the route will be closed. All other lanes will be allowed to flow.

The rolling road closure route is as follows:

- Church Street from Isabella Street to Bloor Street East
- Bloor Street East from Church Street to Yonge Street
- Yonge Street from Bloor Street to Carlton Street
- Carlton Street East from Yonge Street to Allen Gardens

Drivers should expect delays along the route in the downtown core.

This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

TD Toronto Jazz Festival, Friday, June 22, 2018, to Monday, July 2, 2018, Road closures

On Friday, June 22, 2018, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival will be moving their outdoor concerts to the Yorkville area, from Friday, June 22, 2018, to Monday, July 2, 2018.

The first road closures will start on Friday, June 22, 2018, 12 a.m. until Monday, June 25, 2018, 6 a.m.:

- Yorkville Avenue from Bellair Street to 101 Yorkville Avenue
- Bellair Street from Yorkville Avenue to Cumberland Street
- Cumberland Street from Old York Lane to Bellair Street

Yorkville Avenue, from 101 Yorkville Avenue to Avenue Road, will be converted to a two-way street.

Cumberland Street, from Avenue Road to Old York Lane, will be converted to a two-way street.

The second road closure will start on Thursday, June 26, 2018, 6 a.m., until Monday, July 3, 2018, 6 a.m.:

- Hazelton Avenue from Scollard Street to Yorkville Avenue

The third road closure will start on Sunday, June 29, 2018, 4 p.m. until Sunday, July 1, 2018, 12 a.m.:

- Cumberland Street from Old York Lane to Bellair Street

Cumberland Street, from Avenue Road to Old York Lane, will be converted to a two-way street.

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

Police request assistance locating wanted man in Sexual Assault investigation, College Street and Crawford Street area, Security camera image of man released

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at approximately 10:45 p.m., a 26-year-old woman exited a bus and was walking in the College Street and Crawford Street area

- a man approached the woman from behind and sexually assaulted her

- the man then fled the scene

The man is described as approximately 25, 5’6”, slim build, black hair, wearing rectangular glasses, yellow T-shirt, carrying a backpack.

A security camera image of the man is released.

Police seek assistance identifying three men in Theft Over $5000 investigation, 1153 Queen Street West, Security camera images of men released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance identifying three men in a Theft Over $5000 investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Monday, March 26, 2018, three men attended Curry’s Artists’ Materials at 1153 Queen Street West

- they were seen on security video stealing a large quantity of product from the store shelves

The men are described as:

Suspect #1: mid-30s, 6’, short hair with receding hairline and bald spot, short red beard. He was wearing a black puffy winter jacket, black pants, black shoes.

Suspect #2: mid-30s, 5’11”, 190 lbs., short brown hair. He was wearing a two-toned blue winter jacket, black pants, grey Nike casual running shoes, black sunglasses on his head.

Suspect #3: mid-30s, 5’11”, 250 lbs., short dark-brown hair, moustache. He was wearing a black winter jacket, baggy black jeans, black shoes.

Security camera images of the three men are released.

He is described as 6', 170 lbs., brown eyes, black hair.

His photograph has been released.

Missing girl located, Finch Avenue West and Weston Road area, Julia Ly, 15

Three arrested in jewelry store Robbery investigation, Dundas Street West and Keele Street area

Toronto Police Service Hold Up would like to make the public aware of arrests and charges laid in an investigation into a jewelry store robbery near Dundas Street West and Keele Street.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, May 28, 2018, at 3 p.m., two masked men went into a jewelry store

- the men demanded a 69-year-old man and 62-year-old woman get down on the ground and not move

- the men were armed with hammers and proceeded to smash the glass display cabinets and removed a large quantity of jewelry

- the men fled with the property to their rental vehicle which was driven by a woman

Following an investigation by Hold Up, two men and a woman were arrested. The jewelry has been recovered.

On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, Ryan Green, 33, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
4) Trafficking in property obtained by Crime Over
5) Possession of Proceeds of Crime

He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, 9 a.m., courtroom 505.


On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, Theresa Brightly, 27, of Brampton, was arrested. She has been charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
3) Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime

She is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, June 28, 2018, 2 p.m., room 202.


On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, Scott Joyette, 45, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Possession Property by Crime Over

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 10 a.m., room 204.

Faith Mondesir, 17, was last seen on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 1 p.m., in the Dupont Street and Spadina Road area.

She is described as 5’7", 140 lbs., brown eyes, short black curly hair. She was last seen wearing a black A-line dress, bright-blue Converse-style running shoes.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Media advisory, Friday, June 22, 2018, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., Malvern Town Centre, lower level, 31 Tapscott Road, Operation Freeze event with Circle K Stores and Toronto Police

On Friday, June 22, 2018, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., at the Malvern Town Centre, officers from 42 Division and the Community Partnerships and Engagement Unit will be joined by representatives from Circle K Stores, Auxiliary Officers, Toronto Crime Stoppers and students from local schools to launch Operation Freeze.

Created in 2007, Operation Freeze is part of Circle K's Crime Prevention Through Community Engagement strategy and provides police officers with the opportunity to engage in the "positive ticketing" of young people seen doing random acts of kindness or demonstrating socially responsible behaviour. The "ticket," provided by Circle K, is a coupon for a free small Froster beverage.

Since the introduction of the Positive Ticketing Program, more than 1.4 million coupons have been issued by police officers across the province.

On Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 10 a.m., the annual Pride and Remembrance Run will take place. The event will consist of a 5-km road race and walk.

Road closures will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., as follows:

- Wellesley Street East from Yonge Street to Jarvis Street
- Wellesley Street East from Yonge Street to Queens Park Crescent East
- Queens Park Crescent (East and West) from Bloor Street West to College Street

The TTC will experience minor disruptions to some surface routes. Drivers in the area may experience traffic delays during the event.

This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

Pride Dyke March Saturday, June 23, 2018, Road closures

Pride Toronto has organized the Dyke March to take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 2 p.m. Approximately 10,000 participants and 50 motorcycles are expected to attend this event. The march will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

The parade will start forming up on Church Street at 12 p.m. Numerous road closures will be in effect:

As of 12 p.m.:

- Church Street, from Hayden Street to Bloor Street East
- Hayden Street, from Yonge Street to Church Street

As of 1:30 p.m.:

- Bloor Street East from Church Street to Yonge Street
- Yonge Street from Bloor Street to Carlton Street
- Carlton Street from Yonge Street to Jarvis Street

The Dyke March will start at 2 p.m. and will proceed along the following route:

Start: Bloor Street East at Church Street
West: Bloor Street East
South: Yonge Street
East: Carlton Street
End: Allan Gardens - Carlton Street, just east of Jarvis Street

Drivers in the area can expect delays due to this event.
