This is the latest instalment of 14 Division's "Fugitive Friday." We are looking for Ian Kearney McPherson, 43, of Toronto.

He is wanted on the strength of a Warrant for:

1) four counts pf Theft Under
2) four counts of Fail To Comply Recognizance
3) Fail to attend court
4) Possession of Property obtained by crime
5) Possession of Scheduled I substance

He is described as 5'10", 150 lbs., brown hair, hazel eyes.

Police warn that he is considered violent. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Super Bowl 52, Increased R.I.D.E. patrols, Friday, February 2, 2018 through Sunday, February 4, 2018

The Toronto Police Service recognizes the danger that impaired driving poses to all road-users and therefore is vigilant in our measures to recognize, intervene and deal with those people who endanger us all.

This weekend, with Super Bowl 52 on Sunday, the Service will increase its efforts to protect you with multiple R.I.D.E. Programs and patrols targeting those offenders. The message is, and always will be, “If you drink or use drugs, don’t drive.”

The Service would also remind everyone that choosing a responsible option to driving is the first step. Public transit, designated drivers, taxis and hotels are all excellent choices.

It is also worth noting that walking while intoxicated is extremely dangerous to your own safety. Many pedestrians have been seriously injured or killed from walking, stumbling or falling into traffic.

If you see someone who appears to be, or you know is, driving or about to drive impaired, call 9-1-1. The life you save could be your loved one.

The message is clear: DO NOT DRINK OR USE DRUGS AND DRIVE.

Missing man, Victoria Park Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East area, Tyler Carter, 23

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance locating a missing man.

Tyler Carter, 23, was last seen on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 9:15 p.m., in the Victoria Park Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East area.

He is described as 5’6", 150 lbs., brown hair, blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black winter jacket, light-grey hooded sweater, blue jeans, white tennis shoes with black trim.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Lee Edward Steepe, 26, wanted in Attempt Murder investigation, Hanson Street and Coatsworth Crescent area, Photograph of man released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a man wanted in an Attempt Murder investigation.

On Saturday, January 27, 2018, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers began an investigation into an Assault in the Hanson Street and Coatsworth Crescent area.

It is alleged that:

- a 29-year-old man entered an apartment building

- he was set upon by four men and violently assaulted

- he was struck on the head with a hammer and rendered unconscious

- he was held for a period of time and continually assaulted

- he managed to make his escape and reported the incident to police

Lee Edward Steepe, 26, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Attempt Murder
2) Conspiracy to Commit Murder
3) Aggravated Assault
4) Throw Explosive Intended to Cause Bodily Harm
5) Robbery with Offensive Weapon
6) Utter Death Threats
7) Forcible Confinement

His photograph is released.

He is believed to be armed, violent and extremely dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Three other suspects remain outstanding.

He is described as 6'1", 216 lbs., black short hair (possibly in cornrows), moustache/goatee, brown eyes.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is requesting assistance locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of his alleged breach of a Long-Term Supervision Order.

Lennie Middleton is described as 45, 5'6", 159 lbs., short black hair, brown eyes. He has a tattoo "Bunnie and a Cross with 'R.M." on his right upper arm and a panther on his right shoulder.

He is currently bound by a Long-Term Supervision Order for:

1) Robbery
2) Assault Bodily Harm.

He is known to frequent Toronto.

Marijuana dispensary search warrant executed, 1753 Albion Road, unit 5, Two people arrested, face total of 14 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests in a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

On Monday, January 29, 2018, at 6 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at Starbuds Dispensary at 1753 Albion Road unit 5.

It is alleged that the following items were seized during execution of the search warrant:

- Marihuana shatter 82.58 grams (street value $4200.00)
- Marihuana 363.7 grams (street value $3700.00)
- Marihuana cookies x3 packs (street value $50.00)
- Marihuana gummies x 8 packs (street value $160.00)
- Marihuana resin x 22 pills (street value $220.00)
- Unknown white powder
- Imitation firearm (MP5 BB sub-machine gun)
- Canadian currency valuing $211.00

Kevin McKnight, 31, and Steven Deocharan, 29, both of Toronto, are each charged with:

1) three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana
2) three counts of Possession of Marihuana
3) Possession of the Proceeds of Crime

They are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, March 9, 2018, 9 a.m., room 114.

Missing woman, Queen Street West and Roncesvalles Avenue area, Natalie Smith, 40

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing woman.

Natalie Smith, 40, was last seen on Friday, February 2, 2018, at 11 a.m., in the Queen Street West and Roncesvalles Avenue area.

She is described as 5’10", 150 lbs., short black hair, brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a hunter-green winter coat, blue jeans, blue toque with white reflective stripe, pink/grey running shoes. She uses a manual wheelchair.

Police are concerned for her safety.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance identifying a man in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at approximately 11:45 p.m., a woman, 49, was in a building on the concourse level in the King Street West and York Street area

- a man sexually assaulted her and fled in a taxi

Police have released a security camera image of the suspect in the taxi.

He is described as 20-30, 5'6"-5'7", 170-180 lbs., short black hair, carrying a dark-coloured knapsack.

Man, 48, arrested in two Mischief investigations, Faces 16 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in two Mischief investigations.

On Friday, February 2, 2018, 22 Division officers were called to Royal York subway station, 2900 Bloor Street West, for a damage to property call.

It is alleged that:

- a man entered the tunnel and intentionally damaged 10 TTC track switches

- this resulted in the closure of Royal York subway station for several hours

- the man was arrested several hours later, in possession of tools used to damage the track switches

It is further alleged that:

- on Sunday, January 7, 2018, he was in The East Mall and The Queensway area

- he entered a fenced area that contained an airport beacon

- he cut the power cables, disabling the beacon

On Friday, February 2, 2018, Pawel Grodkowski, 48, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) ten counts of Mischief Interfere with Lawful Enjoyment of Property
2) Mischief Endanger Life
3) two counts of Possession of Break-In Instruments
4) two counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance
5) Break-and-Enter with Intent

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, February 3, 2018, 10 a.m., room 101.

Homicide #5/2018, Simon Zerezghi, 25, Update, Two men arrested, charged with First-Degree Murder

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests in a Homicide investigation.

On Monday, January 29, 2018, at 8:11 p.m., police responded to a radio call for a stabbing in the Yonge Street, just south of Wellesley Street area.

It is alleged that:

- multiple men were chasing a man southbound on Yonge Street

- the man was stabbed in the chest

Police arrived on scene and located the man. He was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced.

On Thursday, February 1, 2018, Homicide investigators arrested Colin Defreitas, 25, of Toronto.

He has been charged with:

1) First-Degree Murder
2) Attempted Murder
3) Failing to Comply with a Recognizance

He has already appeared in court.

On Saturday, February 3, 2018, Homicide investigators arrested James Craig, 32, of Toronto.

He has been charged with:

1) First-Degree Murder
2) Attempted Murder

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

Serenity Rossi, 14, was last seen on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at 2:30 a.m., in the Jane Street and Steeles Avenue area.

She is described as 5'2", 100 lbs., slim build, long dark red hair, brown eyes, nose piercing. The only available clothing description is black Nike slippers.

Police are concerned for her safety.

On Monday, February 5, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., in the media gallery at headquarters, Homicide Detective Sergeant Graham Gibson will announce charge details in the investigation into Homicide #56/2017.

On Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 3 a.m., Tess Richey, 22, was reported missing. She was last seen in the Church Street and Wellesley Street East area.

On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 3:30 p.m., she was located outside a building undergoing construction, deceased.

On Friday, December 1, 2017, a post-mortem examination was conducted. The cause of death was determined to be neck compression.

TPS Homicide took over the investigation.

Toronto Police Service Community Police Academy, Registration now open for spring session

Registration for the spring session of the Toronto Police Service Community Police Academy has now opened.

The eight-week course, designed to inform members of the public about all things policing, will be held at the Toronto Police College, 70 Birmingham Street, every Saturday, from March 27, 2018 to May 26, 2018.

The Toronto Police Service has partnered with Humber College to offer credits upon successful completion of the Community Police Academy.

Graduates will be recognized by Chief Mark Saunders and will be eligible for two credits toward Humber’s Police Foundations Diploma.

Students must attend every class to graduate. Only successful candidates will be contacted.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing man.

Kevin Barreca, 26, was last seen on Thursday, February 1, 2018, in the Queen Street West and Brock Avenue area.

He is described as 6’1", muscular build, tanned complexion, brown hair, balding, full beard. He has a "Jesus" tattoo on one of his arms.

He was last seen wearing a black or red toque, black pea coat, maroon jogging pants, white Adidas runners. He was carrying a black duffel bag.

Police are concerned for his safety.
