On Monday, November 13, 2017, at 11:19 p.m., police were called for a sound of gunshots to the Dundas Street East and Parliament Street area.

Once on scene, police located a man in medical distress.

He was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.

On Monday, December 11, 2017, Kwsie Blair, 20, of Toronto, was pronounced while still in hospital.

Homicide has taken over the investigation.

On Friday, January 26, 2018, Homicide investigators released a photograph of a vehicle of interest. It is believed to be a 2012 two-door Honda Civic Ex2. The vehicle was last seen travelling westbound from the area immediately after the shooting.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance locating a missing man.

Yoke Quon Lee, 79, was last seen on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., in the Yonge Street and College Street area.

He is described as 5'6", 125 lbs., short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a grey mid-length winter jacket with a hood, plaid toque.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Richard Adams, 37, faces five charges in child exploitation investigation, Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East area, Photographs of man released, Police concerned there may be other victims

On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, members of the Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in the Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East area.

It is alleged that:

- in January 2016, a child met a man on the internet

- the man sexually assaulted the child at the man’s home

- the man sent the child sexually explicit images over the internet

- the man continued to sexually assault the child over a number of months

- the man continued to communicate with other underage online users for a sexual purpose

Richard Adams, 37, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

1) Two counts of Luring a Child (under 16)
2) Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to Child
3) Sexual Interference
4) Sexual Assault

He used the online username “Richard B Adams.”

Josephina Dugas, 21, was last seen on Friday, January 26, 2018, at approximately 10 p.m., in the Pape Avenue and O’Connor Drive area.

She is described as 5'3", medium build, dirty-blonde shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black yoga pants, no shoes.

She may be in the company of a man.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Michael Taylor, 68, charged in Sexual Assault investigation, Dufferin Street and Glencairn Avenue area, Police concerned there may be other victims, Man's photograph released

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Monday, January 15, 2018, officers started an investigation into two sexual assaults in the Dufferin Street and Glencairn Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- a 19-year-old man went to a home on December 2 and 3, 2016

- he went to the home to practise singing for a choir

- he was sexually assaulted on both occasions

On Friday, January 26, 2018, at 10 a.m., Michael Taylor, 68, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) two counts of Sexual Assault

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 10 a.m., room 101.

Michael Taylor is an organist at multiple churches across Toronto and the GTA. He practises with multiple choir groups and has access to other young people.

Police are concerned there may be other victims.

Public Safety Alert, Threatening on TTC, Man, 27, charged, Replica of semi-automatic pistol seized

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Threatening incident on the TTC.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at approximately 11:50 a.m., a woman, 20, was riding a TTC bus along Sherbourne Street and was seated near the back

- a man boarded the bus, made his way to the rear, and sat next to the woman

- he then removed a bandana from his backpack and tied it around his head while using it to cover his face

- he pulled the hood from his jacket up over his head.

It is further alleged that:

- the man then stood up in front of the woman, 20

- he opened his jacket and lifted his shirt to expose a firearm tucked into the waist area of his pants

- the woman, 20, was eventually able to pull the "stop chord" on the bus and immediately exited at the next stop where she contacted 9-1-1

It is further alleged that:

- officers from 51 Division Priority Response Unit attended to this emergency call and were eventually able to locate the man.

- a search of the man was done and located was the bandana described as well as the firearm used

- further examination of the firearm determined it to be a realistic replica of a semi-automatic pistol.

Theo Dillenberg, 27, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Assault with a weapon
2) Uttering Threats
3) Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose


He appeared in court at College Park on Friday, January 26, 2018, 10 a.m., room 501.

Man, 28, arrested in firearms investigation, Jameson Avenue and King Street West, Faces 20 charges, Firearm seized

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a firearms investigation.

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a call for trespassers in the Jameson Avenue and King Street West area.

It is alleged that:

- officers assisted in the eviction of trespassers from a vacant apartment

- a quantity of drugs and a firearm were located

- a firearms investigation was started

On Sunday, January 28, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., Rushaune Champagnie, 28, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Attempt Break-and-Enter
2) Mischief Under $5000
3) Break-and-Enter
4) Threaten Bodily Harm
5) Careless Storage of a Firearm
6) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
7) Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
8) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
9) Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
10) Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime
11) Possession of a Firearm with Serial Number Altered
12) four counts of Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order
13) Possession of a Schedule I Substance
14) Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Substance
15) Fail to Comply Recognizance
16) two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, January 29, 2018, 10 a.m., room 101.

On Friday, January 26, 2018, at 3 p.m., officers responded to a call for damage to auto in the Jameson Avenue and Laxton Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a firearm was discharged

- a parked car was struck and damaged

- three men were seen fleeing the area

All suspects are described as male, all wearing dark hoodies with hoods up.

Bruce McArthur investigation, Update, Additional charges

On Thursday, January 18, 2018, Bruce McArthur was arrested and charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder in relation to the deaths of Selim Esen, 44, and Andrew Kinsman, 49.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, on Monday, January 29, 2018, Bruce McArthur was charged with three additional counts of First-Degree Murder.

Police allege he is responsible for the deaths of:

1) Majeed Kayhan, 58, of Toronto, reported missing in October 2012
2) Soroush Mahmudi, 50, of Toronto, reported missing in August 2015
3) Dean Lisowick, 47, of no fixed address

Photographs of the five victims are being released.

Police continue to search properties associated to Mr. McArthur and are asking anyone who received landscaping services from him to contact police, if you have not been contacted already.

Police request help identifying man wanted in stabbing investigation, Stock Yards Village, Security camera images of man released

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance identifying a man wanted in a stabbing investigation.

On Friday, January 26, 2018, at 3:03 p.m., officers responded to a call for a stabbing at Stock Yards Village.

It is reported that:

- a 24-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk

- he had a brief friendly exchange with a man

- the 24-year-old man continued on but was startled by a scream

- he turned to find the man walking towards him with a knife

- he was stabbed through the hand

- the suspect fled

Investigators believe this to be a random, unprovoked attack.

Security camera images of the suspect are now released.

The suspect is considered armed, violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Sexual Assault Alert, Queen Street West and Peter Street area, Syed Husain, 26, charged in ongoing investigation

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to an arrest in an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 3 am, a 20-year-old woman was the Queen Street West and Peter Street area

- she was in an Uber and was sexually assaulted by the driver

On Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 8:50 p.m., Syed Husain, 26, of Toronto, surrendered to police at 52 Division.

He was arrested and charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Forcible Confinement
3) Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, 11 a.m., room 111.

Three men arrested and charged in shooting investigation, Lawrence Avenue West and Bathurst Street area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of three arrests in a shooting investigation.

On Saturday, January 27, 2018, 32 Division officers were called to the Lawrence Avenue West and Bathurst Street area for the sound of gunshots

Officers were able to confirm a firearm had been discharged and identify a suspect.

It is alleged that:

- a man, 31, a victim, was located in a hospital in Toronto

On Saturday, January 27, 2018, officers attended an apartment in the Lawrence Avenue West and Bathurst Street area and arrested Jaffar Mohammed, 24; Gurmessa Abdullhi, 24; and Adonai Kahsay, 22, all of Toronto.

It is further alleged that:

- during the arrests a large quantity of marijuana was thrown from the balcony of that apartment

Officers of the 32/33 Division Street Crime Unit then executed a Criminal Code and Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant at that apartment.

It is further alleged that:

- officers located more marijuana, a quantity of cocaine, a large quantity of cash, and drug paraphernalia consistent with the packaging, quality testing and sale of marijuana and cocaine

Jaffar Mohammed, 24, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound or Endanger Life
2) Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
3) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
5) two counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime
6) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
7) Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Monday, January 29, 2018, 10 a.m., room 304.


Gurmessa Abdullhi, 24, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, January 28, 2018, 10 a.m., room 103.


Adonai Kahsay, 22, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, January 28, 2018, 10 a.m., room 103.

Man, 18, charged in retail Robbery investigation, Wilson Avenue and Dufferin Street area

Toronto Police Service Hold Up would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a retail Robbery investigation

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 8:15 p.m., a man entered a convenience store in the Wilson Avenue and Dufferin Street area

- a man loitered in the store for several minutes then grabbed some merchandise and fled without paying for the items

It is further alleged that:

- the store attendant, a 38-year-old man, chased him and when he caught up to him he struggled with him to get the property back

- the man then produced a handgun from his waist, racked the slide and the man, 38, backed off and the man fled

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, Josias Bruno, 18, of Toronto, was arrested by 32 Division officers and charged with:

1) Robbery While Armed With Firearm

He appeared in court on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 1000 Finch Avenue West, 2 p.m., room 306.

Man wanted in Break-and-Enter and Theft investigation, York Street and Queens Quay area, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service requests assistance identifying a man wanted in a Theft Over $5000 investigation.

On Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for a Fraud in the York Street and Queens Quay area.

It is reported that:

- a man requested entry into a condo unit

- he claimed he was there to fix the heating unit

- he removed the heating unit and left the building

He is described as 30s, 5'10", chubby, short black hair. He was wearing khaki pants, blue zip-up jacket.

The heating system is an Enerzone HRP-60 valued at $12,000.
