MUSIC! Not Mischief is a Toronto Police Service-led youth outreach program partnering police officers with high school students. Officers mentor students as they learn to play the guitar in preparation for an end-of-season concert where students play on stage with independent GTA recording artists and musicians. Now in its ninth year, MUSIC! Not Mischief has been previously delivered in conjunction with partnered police services across Southern Ontario.

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 8 p.m., 13 specially selected students from this year’s MUSIC! Not Mischief program will perform on stage at the world-famous Virgin Mobile MOD Club at 722 College Street. Each student will play a rock cover song with one of two rock bands, Little Sunday from Richmond Hill (littlesunday.com), or TraceNine from Cambridge (tracenine.com).

The performances will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges including GTA-based country music recording artist Marshall Dane (marshalldane.com), drummer from “The Headstones”, Dale Harrison and Chris Brodbeck, singer for “See Spot Run.” The show will be hosted by Stacey Thompson of 93.5 FM's The Move. All the performers will get to keep the guitar they played. GTA-based guitar manufacturer Carparelli Guitars supplies instruments to the MUSIC! Not Mischief program (carparelliguitars.com).
