This is the latest instalment of 14 Division's "Fugitive Friday." We are looking for James Victor George Johnson, 21, of Toronto.

He is wanted on multiple warrants for:

1) two counts of Fail to Comply Undertaking
2) Assault Cause Bodily Harm
3) Theft Under $5000
4) Assault
5) Mischief Under $5000
6) Cause Disturbance
7) Fail to Comply Recognizance

He is described as 5'9", 175 lbs., blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police warn that he is considered violent.

Public Safety Alert, 81 St. Mary Street area, Man charged for exposing himself to young girl, William Douglas Shorten, 50, Police concerned there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest resulting in a Public Safety Alert.

It is alleged that:

- on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at approximately 3 p.m., a 12-year-old girl was in the 81 St. Mary Street area.

- the girl was approached by a man

- the man exposed himself to the girl

- the girl left the area but was followed by the man

- the man exposed himself to her again

- the man then left

On Wednesday, August 10, 2016, William Douglas Shorten, 50, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) two counts of Indecent Exposure to Person under 16 years of age
2) Criminal Harassment
3) Invitation to Sexual Touching
4) four counts of Fail to Comply with Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 10 am.

Police are concerned there may be other victims.

Marijuana dispensary robbery, Two men arrested

On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 7 p.m., a marijuana dispensary in the Queen Street West, just west of Bathurst Street area, was robbed.

It is alleged that:

- two men disguised their identities with masks, gloves and hooded sweatshirts

- the two men entered the premises

- one of the men was armed with a silver starter’s pistol that resembled a .38 calibre revolver

- during the robbery, a large quantity of marijuana and cash was taken

- the public assisted police with this investigation and one of the men, 18, was arrested at the scene

- the stolen property and the starter’s pistol were recovered

- on Thursday, August 25, 2016, the other man, 19, was identified, located and arrested.

Karl Chin-Chen, 18, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Disguise with Intent
3) Use Imitation Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence
4) Forcible Confinement

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 10 a.m., room 101.

Dylan Harris, 19, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Robbery
2) Use Imitation Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence
3) Disguise with Intent
4) Forcible Confinement

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, August 26, 2016, 0 a.m., room 101.

Missing woman, Front Street and Bay Street area, Margaret Ellen Walker, 74

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing woman.

Margaret Ellen Walker, 74, was last seen on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., in the Front Street and Bay Street area.

She is described as white, 5’5”, medium build, brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing gold-framed glasses, long white shirt, cream pants and white sneakers. She was carrying an olive-green canvas bag.

Police are concerned for her safety.

On Sunday, August 28, 2016, 54 Division will be hosting the first annual ProAction Soccer League tournament.

The tournament will be held at Marc Garneau Secondary school, 135 Overlea Boulevard. The tournament will start at 11 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m.

The tournament will showcase a soccer game between members of 54 Division and community youth.

Police seek assistance with Fraud and Extortion investigation, St Clair Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue area, Two men charged with defrauding and extorting woman in her 80s, Police concerned there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of two arrests in an ongoing Fraud and Extortion investigation in the St Clair Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

- two men approached a woman, in her 80s, during the day when she was alone

- they made her believe they completed work to the exterior of her home and demanded money for the work

- they continued to visit the woman at her home and call her on her phone, demanding payment for the work never completed

- the men obtained $19,000 in cash payments and stolen cheques from the woman's residence

Two men were arrested on Friday, August 26, 2016.

Kevin Sampson, 40, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) four counts of Fraud under $5000
2) Extortion
3) three counts of Possession of property obtained by crime
4) three counts of Theft under $5000
5) Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence


Mark Kalka, 39, of no fixed address, is charged with:

1) Fraud under $5000
2) Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence

Kevin Sampson is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Monday, August 29, 2016, 10 a.m.

Mark Kalka is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, 2 p.m.

Police are concerned there may be other victims.

Homicide #48/2016, Don Mount Court and Kintyre Avenue area, Peggy Ann Smith, 61

On Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 6:13 p.m., officers responded to reports of the sound of gunshots in the Don Mount Court and Kintyre Avenue area.

Officers located a woman, with an apparent gunshot wound, in an alley at the rear of a home.

She was pronounced at the scene.

She has been identified as Peggy Ann Smith, 61, of Toronto.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for today.

Two young men were seen fleeing the area, northbound, towards Dundas Street East.

Police seek assistance with Robbery investigation, Yonge Street and Dundas Street area, Man, boy arrested, two men outstanding Police concerned there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests in a series of robberies in the Eaton Centre area.

On Saturday, August 27, 2016, between approximately 3 a.m. and 8 a.m., police received six reports for separate robberies in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street area.

It is alleged that:

- three men and a 17-year-old boy swarmed a number of people

- the people were robbed and their personal property taken

- in some of the cases, one of the men produced a handgun

Officers have arrested one man and a 17-year-old boy

It is further alleged that:

- a replica handgun was recovered

Two men are still outstanding. Security camera images of the two men have been attached to this release.

Darian Rodriquez, 20, of Mississauga, has been charged with:

1) five counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2) two counts of Robbery
3) five counts of Use Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence
4) four counts of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
5) four counts of Carry Concealed Weapon
6) four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
7) Uttering Threats
8) Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
9) Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
10) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
11) Careless Storage of a Firearm
12) Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
13) Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime


A 17 year-old boy, of Mississauga, has been charged with:

1) five counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2) two counts of Robbery
3) five counts of Use Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence
4) four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
5) three counts of Uttering Threats
6) seven counts of Fail to comply YCJA Disposition

The name of the Young Person cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The man and the boy are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, August 28, 2016, 10 a.m., room 101.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, August 26, 2016, just after midnight, a 20-year-old woman was walking in the Dufferin Street and Wilson Avenue area

- a man approached the woman and pulled her into a laneway and behind a building

- the man sexually assaulted the woman

- the man fled the scene

Samsuldeen Ajimotokan, 28, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, August 26, 2016.

Personal injury collision #47/2016, Avenue Road, south of Roselawn Avenue

On Saturday, August 27, 2016, at approximately 8 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Avenue Road, south of Roselawn Avenue.

It is reported that:

- a 24-year-old woman was driving a Volkswagen Jetta, northbound on Avenue Road approaching Roselawn Avenue, with two male passengers

− for reasons not yet determined, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole on the southeast corner of Avenue Road and Roselawn Avenue

A three-year-old boy, a passenger in the vehicle, received life-threatening injuries. The other male passenger in the vehicle received non-life-threatening injuries.

Parking Enforcement Officer assaulted investigating Accessible Parking Permit, Woman, 29, arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Thursday, August, 4, 2016, at 8 a.m., a Parking Enforcement Officer observed a Toyota Highlander parked in a no-parking zone at 150 Elizabeth Street

- the 29-year-old driver displayed an Accessible Parking Permit on her SUV

- the Parking Enforcement Officer approached and began an Accessible Parking Permit investigation

- upon request, the driver handed over her driver's licence and permit, claiming the permit was for her mother

- during the investigation, the driver grabbed her driver's licence back, and pulled on the Parking Enforcement Officer's wrist in an attempt to retrieve the permit

- the driver then fled

On Friday, August 26, 2016, the driver was arrested.

Ashley Nickesha Spence, 29, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Assault

She is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, October 13, 2016, 11 a.m., courtroom 111.

Assistance sought identifying man and woman wanted in Break-and-Enter investigation, 763 Bay Street, Security camera images released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man and woman wanted in a Break-and-Enter investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Monday, June 20, 2016, at 9:30 a.m., a man and woman broke into a private underground parking garage at 763 Bay Street

- once inside, they stole a bicycle worth approximately $1,000

The man is described as approximately 30, with a Mohawk. He was wearing a red-and-black tank top.

The woman is described as approximately 30, with long dark hair. She was wearing a black tank top with writing on the front and had a pink backpack.

Security camera images are now available.
