Missing man, Ying Hing Chan, 87

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Ying Hing Chan, 87, was last seen on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at approximately 2:30 p.m., in the Markham Road/Sheppard Avenue East area.

He is described as Asian, 5’6’’, 120 lbs., with short grey hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue-and-black checkered long-sleeve shirt, grey pants and a red-and-white baseball cap.

Police are concerned for the safety

She is described as Asian, 5’, 135 lbs., with short black-and-grey hair. She was wearing a blue sweater, grey sweatpants, glasses, and carrying a brown messenger bag.

Public Safety Alert, Stolen medication

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of the theft of a quantity of prescription medication.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2015, the following was stolen from a vehicle in the Yonge Street/Finch Avenue area:

- approximately 20 100-mcg/h Fentanyl patches

They can be harmful, or even fatal, if ingested, especially to children.

Fentanyl is an extremely potent opiate used to relieve intense and chronic pain. Fentanyl patches contain a clear gel which is designed to be time-released through the skin. If the patch is cut or altered from its original state and the gel is consumed, the results could be fatal.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing woman.

Agnes Karson, 70, was last seen on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, in the Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West area.

She is described as white, 5'4", 130 lbs., with white hair in a bun. She was last seen wearing blue-and-white silky pants, a black cardigan, with a multi-colored brown and blue top, and is not wearing shoes. She uses a cane to walk.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Police request assistance with series of Fail-to-Remain personal injury collisions involving a U-Haul truck

On Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 9:43 p.m., police responded to a call for a series of Fail-to-Remain collisions.

It is reported that:

- a person who was operating a U-Haul truck was involved in a collision at 90 Bloor Street East, the driver and vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision

- the vehicle was then involved in a series of other Fail-to-Remain collisions at the following locations on Saturday, August 8, 2015, between 9:30 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.

• Bloor Street West, just east of Bay Street
• Bloor Street West and Bay Street
• northbound Don Valley Parkway, near Eglinton Avenue East
• northbound Don Valley Parkway, near Lawrence Avenue East
• southbound Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East
• Clarinda Drive and Ambrose Road

− police received several 9-1-1 calls from the public, regarding the driver's operation of the vehicle

Public assistance sought with Break-and-Enter investigation, Kingston Road and Fenwood Heights area

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying two men in an ongoing Break-and-Enter investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Friday, July 31, 2015, a residential home in the Kingston Road and Fenwood Heights area was broken into

- two men pried open a door and entered the home

The first man is described as white, 25-30, brown hair, clean-shaven. He was wearing a light-colored T-shirt.

The second man is also described as white and 25-30. He was wearing blue jeans, a black short-sleeve shirt, a black baseball hat, black shoes with white soles. He had a black satchel on his left side.

The men were observed entering a newer-model red Kia Forte. Security camera footage is now available on YouTube.

- on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at approximately 1 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was walking in the Dufferin Street and Rogers Road area

Man arrested for Voyeurism, Ammar Hasan, 31, Police believe there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Voyeurism investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Wednesday August 12, 2015, at approximately 7:55 p.m., a 29-year-old woman was at York Mills TTC subway station

- a man followed closely behind with a cell phone

- he attempted to take images up the woman's skirt

- the accused was confronted by a witness and held for police

Ammar Hasan, 31, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Voyeurism
2) Criminal Harassment

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, August 13, 2015, in courtroom 306, at 10 a.m.

It is further alleged that:

- his cell phone contained numerous other recordings of a similar nature

Police believe there may be other victims.

Festival of South Asia, Friday, August 15, 2015 to Saturday, August 16, 2015, Road closure

From Friday, August 14, 2015 to Saturday, August 15, 2015, the Gerrard India Bazaar will host the 2015 Festival of South Asia.

Road closures will be in effect from Saturday, August 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. to Monday, August 17, 2015 at 2 am.

Road closure:

- Gerrard Street East (full road) to Glenside Avenue

- TTC will halt service along Gerrard Street East during the event and will operate service from Saturday, August 16, 2015 at 11 p.m. until Sunday, August 17, 2015 10 a.m.

- TTC will resume regular service on Sunday, August 17, 2015 at approximately 11 p.m.

Motorists are advised to consider the road closure when planning their travels.

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

Stolen medication, Kipling Avenue and Burnhamthorpe Road West

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a quantity of stolen medication.

On Thursday, August 6, 2015, at approximately 8 p.m., a quantity of prescription medication was stolen in Echo Valley Park, in the Kipling Avenue and Burnhamthorpe Road West area.

The medication was taken from a man's backpack as he slept in Echo Valley Park. The stolen medication is:

- Xanax . 25mg (80 pills)
- Temazepam 30 mg (15 pills)
- Luvox 100mg (20pills)
- Divalprox 500mg (25Pills)
- Ventolin Puffer

The medication is harmful, or potentially fatal, if ingested either alone or in conjunction with other narcotics.

Police are concerned for the safety of persons in possession of these narcotics.

Rachelle Domanski, 26, was last seen on Thursday, August 13, at 3 p.m., near Gate 5 at the Rogers Centre, Bremner Street and Rees Street .

She is described as having tanned skin, 5'4", 160 lbs., with shoulder-length brown hair in a bun and large brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a Blue Jays 'Donaldson' jersey, and capri-style pants.

Police are concerned for her safety.

Wheels on the Danforth, Saturday, August 15, 2015, 6 a.m. - 11 p.m., Road closures

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, "Wheels on the Danforth" will take place on Danforth Avenue, from 11 a.m., to 11 p.m

Danforth Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic, from 6 a.m., to 11 p.m., from Byng Avenue to Warden Avenue, and Danforth Road to Landry Avenue. The major north/south streets, such as Byng Avenue and Warden Avenue, will remain open.

The TTC will be re-routing buses during the event.

This event will take place, regardless of weather conditions. Members of the public should anticipate significant traffic issues in the area.

Fusion of Taste, Sunday, August 16, 2015, 12 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Road closures

On Sunday, August 16, 2015, the Albion Islington Square BIA will host the annual Fusion of Taste on Islington Avenue, between Wardlaw Crescent and Albion Road.

This event will run from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

TTC buses operating on the 37 route will be diverting in both directions, utilizing Albion Road, Kipling Avenue, and Finch Avenue.
