The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance locating a missing woman.

Josephine Alberga, 71, was last seen on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in the Kipling Avenue/Finch Avenue West area.

She is described as white, 5’, 100 lbs., with grey/white hair. She was last seen wearing a brown, flowered dress, beige overcoat and black shoes.

Police are concerned for her safety.

The Taste of Lawrence Festival, Friday, July 3, 2015 to Sunday, July 5, 2015, Road closures

From Friday, July 3, 2015 to Sunday, July 5, 2015, the Taste of Lawrence Festival will take place on Lawrence Avenue East, between Warden Avenue and Birchmount Road. During this time, traffic on Lawrence Avenue East will be diverted north and south at Warden Avenue and Birchmount Road.

The road closures will be in effect from Friday, July 3, 2015, at 10 a.m., to Sunday, July 5, 2015, at 11:59 p.m. The following roads will be closed:

- Lawrence Avenue East and Birchmount Road to Warden Avenue

This event will take place regardless of weather conditions. Members of the public should anticipate traffic issues in the area.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a home invasion investigation.

The outstanding man has been identified. Jesse Alexander Graham, 18, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1) Assault
2) Assault With a Weapon
3) Armed Robbery
4) Extortion
5) Use Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
6) Utter Threats
7) Fail To Comply Recognizance

Police are seeking the public's assistance locating him. He is considered extremely violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach and call 9-1-1 immediately .

His photograph has been released.

Arrest in Voyeurism investigation, Tomasz Malinowski, 33, faces four charges, Police believe there may be other victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Voyeurism investigation.

On Friday, June 26, 2015, at 1:45 p.m., police responded to the Winners store at 1255 The Queensway for a suspicious incident.

It is alleged that:

- a man was seen covertly filming four women, under their skirts/dresses

Tomasz Malinowski, 33, of Toronto, was arrested on scene. He is charged with:

1) four counts of Voyeurism

He is scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Monday, August 10, 2015, 2 p.m.

Police believe there may be other victims and witnesses.

Sexual Assault Alert, Welsford Gardens and Rowena Drive area, Man wanted

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

It is reported that:

- on Thursday, July 2, 2015, between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., a 14-year-old girl was walking in the Welsford Gardens and Rowena Drive area

- an unknown man approached the girl from behind

- the man sexually assaulted the girl

The man is described as black, early 20s, approximately 6', medium build, with braids in his hair, and a distinctive thin moustache. He was wearing a baggy, long, grey sweater, baseball cap worn backwards and blue jeans.

The Toronto Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance identifying two men and a woman involved in a Break-and-Enter investigation.

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, a man and a woman were arrested for charges related to the Break-and-Enter and subsequent use of a credit card taken during the offence.

Andrew McGough, 50, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Break-and-Enter, Commit
2) Possess Credit Card obtained by Crime
3) four counts of Fraud Under $5000
4) Fail to Comply Probation Order

Susanne King, 70, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Possess Credit Card obtained by Crime
2) four counts of Fraud Under $5000

A warrant has been taken out for the third man, Jeffrey McGough, 29, of Toronto. He is wanted for:

1) Break and Enter, Commit
2) Possess Credit Card obtained by Crime
3) four counts of Fraud Under $5000
4) Fail to Comply Probation Order

He is described as 5"4', 135 lbs., with short dark hair, and a goatee. His photograph has been released.

It is believed that Jeffrey McGough resides in the Woodbine Avenue and Danforth Avenue area.

Saturday, June 4, 2015, Caribana Flags and Colours Festival Parade, Road closures

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, at noon, the Caribana Flags and Colours Festival Parade will be held. As a result, the following rolling road closures will take place:

- westbound Shoreham Drive, starting at noon
- southbound Jane Street
- westbound York Gate Boulevard, concluding at 5 p.m.

TTC bus route 35 will be diverting.

The 11th annual Salsa on St. Clair festival will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2015, and Sunday, July 5, 2015, on St. Clair Avenue West between Winona Drive and Christie Street.

The following road closures will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 8 a.m., until Sunday, July 5, 2015 till 11:59 p.m.:

- St. Clair Avenue West from Winona Drive to Christie Street

TTC Service Adjustments:

Passage across St. Clair Avenue West will be accommodated by buses operating on detour via Davenport, one block south of St. Clair Avenue – between Bathurst Street and Oakwood Avenue during event hours.

Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games, Events and related traffic impact for Saturday, July 4, 2015 and Sunday, July 5, 2015

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, the Toronto Pan American Torch Relay will return to Toronto. The torch arrived in Toronto on Tuesday, May 30, 2015, and has since been moving through celebration sites across the province. On Saturday, July 4, 2015, the torch will arrive back in Toronto at 6 p.m.

There is a celebration planned at the Prince Edward Viaduct (Bloor/Danforth bridge) from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and the torch will be on site from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The public can expect traffic delays and should consider alternate routes around the area of the event.

Rolling lane closures will be in effect as the torch-bearer moves through city streets. The rolling lane closures will begin in the area of St. James Town Library, 495 Sherbourne Ave, at approximately 6 p.m. and will affect the following route:

• southbound on Bleeker Street, from the St. James Town Library to Wellesley Street East
• westbound on Wellesley Street East, to Jarvis Street
• northbound on Jarvis Street, continuing onto Ted Rogers Way to Bloor Street East
• eastbound on Bloor Street East, to the celebration site at the Prince Edward Viaduct

On Sunday, July 5, 2015, the Toronto Pan American Torch Relay will continue through Toronto. There are 11 scheduled stop:

• Withrow Park, McConnell Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m.
• Variety Village, 3701 Danforth Avenue, from 10:41 a.m. to 10:56 a.m.
• L’Amoreaux Community Recreation Centre, 2000 McNicoll Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 12:16 p.m.
• Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, 5183 Sheppard Avenue East, from 12:43 p.m. to 12:48 p.m.
• Toronto Zoo, from 1:06 p.m. to 2:06 p.m.
• CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatic Centre (PAC), 1028 Military Trail (at Morningside Avenue), from 2:38 p.m. to 3:38 p.m.
• University of Toronto – Scarborough Campus, 130 Old Kingston Road, from 4 p.m. to 4:10 p.m.
• CIBC Branch, 255 Morningside Avenue, from 2:27 p.m. to 2:37 p.m.
• No Frills, 2742 Eglinton Avenue East, from 5:12 p.m. to 5:17 p.m.
• Don Montgomery Community Centre, 2467 Eglinton Avenue East, from 5:32 p.m. to 6:02 p.m.
• Toronto Afrofest, 1141-1157 Eastern Avenue, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Rolling lane closures will be in effect along the torch route and will affect the following streets:

• northbound on Fenwick Avenue, to Danforth Avenue
• eastbound on Danforth Aveenue, to Variety Village at 3701 Danforth Avenue
• northbound on Kennedy Road, from Lawrence Avenue East to McNicoll Avenue
• westbound on McNicoll Avenue, to 2000 McNicoll Avenue
• eastbound on McNicoll Avenue, to Silver Star Boulevard
• southbound on Brimley Avenue, to the Finch Hydro corridor
• Sheppard Avenue East, from Markham Road to 5183 Sheppard Avenue East
• eastbound on Ellesmere Road, from Neilson Road to Military Trail
• northbound on Military Trail, to the PanAm Aquatics Centre (PAC)
• southbound on Military Trail to Old Kingston Road
• westbound on Old Kingston Road to the Tennis Centre (UTS)
• westbound on Old Kingston Road from the UTS entrance to the Kingston Road access
• southbound on Kingston Road, to Morningside Avenue
• westbound on Eglinton Avenue East, from Kingston Road to Midland Avenue
• westbound on Queen Street East, from Fallingbrook Road to Woodbine Avenue
• southbound on Woodbine Avenue, from Queen Street East onto Lake Shore Boulevard East
• westbound on Lake Shore Boulevard East, to Coxwell Avenue

All rolling lane closures will be a single lane and motorists are asked to show additional caution along the route.

We would also like to make the public aware that, during the events on the evening of Saturday July 4, 2015, there may be detonation of pyrotechnic special effects at the celebration site adjacent to the Prince Edward Viaduct.

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Ricerti Bartolome, 81, was last seen on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at 2:15 p.m., in the Burnhamthorpe Road/Wolfedale Road, Mississauga area.

He is described as 5'9", 155 lbs., with short grey/white hair. He was wearing a white shirt, beige shorts, sandals, and glasses.

He may be driving a 1998 green Toyota Camry with Ontario licence plate BPLY 995.

Police are concerned for his safety.

On Sunday, June 28, 2015, at approximately 7 a.m., police were called to the Lisgar Street/Sudbury Street area for a shooting.

Once on scene, police located two men with obvious trauma. They were pronounced at the scene.

The suspect has been identified as Kamal Hassan, 23, of Toronto. An arrest warrant has now been issued.

Personal injury collision #28/2015, Lake Shore Boulevard West at Remembrance Drive

On Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 11:55 p.m., police responded to a personal injury collision at Lake Shore Boulevard West at Remembrance Drive.

It is reported that:

- a 32-year-old man was attempting to cross Lake Shore Boulevard West, at Remembrance Drive, in the area of the east side of the intersection

- a 35-year-old man was driving a 2006 Honda Civic, eastbound on Lake Shore Boulevard West, approaching Remembrance Drive

- as the man attempted to cross the road, he was struck by the eastbound Honda

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Personal injury collision #29/2015, Walsh Road and Albion Road

On Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 11:32 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Walsh Road and Albion Road.

It is reported that:

- a 40-year-old woman was driving a 2008 Mazda, westbound on Walsh Road, approaching Albion Road

- a 52-year-old man was driving a 2004 Kenworth truck, westbound on Walsh Road, and had brought the vehicle to a stop at the intersection of Walsh Road and Albion Road

- the Mazda struck the truck from behind

The driver of the Mazda received life-threatening injuries. Two passengers in the Mazda received non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured in the collision.

Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games, Events and related traffic impact for Saturday, July 4, 2015 and Sunday, July 5, 2015, Update, Additional Information

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, the Toronto Pan American Torch Relay will return to Toronto. The torch arrived in Toronto on Tuesday, May 30, 2015, and has since been moving through celebration sites across the province. On Saturday, July 4, 2015, the torch will arrive back in Toronto at 6 p.m.

There is a celebration planned at the Prince Edward Viaduct (Bloor/Danforth bridge) from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and the torch will be on site from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The public can expect traffic delays and should consider alternate routes around the area of the event.

UPDATE: The Prince Edward Viaduct will be closed from Friday, July 3, 2015, at 8 p.m. to Sunday, July 5, 2015, at 5 a.m. TCC buses will still have access. Also, Castle Frank Road from the Don Valley Parkway and the Bayview extension ramps in both directions will be closed from Saturday, July 4, 2015, at 4 p.m. to Sunday, July 5, 2015, at 5 a.m.

Rolling lane closures will be in effect as the torch-bearer moves through city streets. The rolling lane closures will begin in the area of St. James Town Library, 495 Sherbourne Ave, at approximately 6 p.m. and will affect the following route:

- southbound on Bleeker Street, from the St. James Town Library to Wellesley Street East
- westbound on Wellesley Street East, to Jarvis Street
- northbound on Jarvis Street, continuing onto Ted Rogers Way to Bloor Street East

Public Safety Alert, Police warning on social network scam

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a scam targeting male social networking users of the app WeCHAT.

WeCHAT is predominantly used in the Asian community, and is a dating app for men to meet women.

It is reported that:

- after a male WeCHAT user reaches out to a woman on the app, she requests that he provide iTunes gift cards with activation codes for a value of a few hundred dollars

- she assures him that, when they meet, she will return the value in cash

- after the initial encounter, the demand for more iTunes gift cards or money transfers escalates

- threats of revealing the online relationship to the male user's family are made

The suspects of the scam are believed to be located outside Canada.
