Sexual Assault Alert, Man wanted, Update, Jonathan Prince, 20, arrested, faces six charges, Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a series of sexual assaults.

It is alleged that:

- between June and October, 2014, in the area bounded by Harbord Street, Queen Street West, Bathurst Street and Ossington Avenue, a man approached six different women, while riding a BMX bicycle, and sexually assaulted them

Through investigation, the man has been allegedly identified and, on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 11:53 a.m., Jonathan Prince, 20, of Toronto, was arrested. He has been charged with:

1) six counts of Sexual Assault

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Friday, December 19, 2014, 10 a.m., room 101.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Personal injury collision #53/2014, Subway Crescent at Aukland Road

On Monday, December 15, 2014, at 7:27 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Subway Crescent at Aukland Road.

It is reported that:

- an 83-year-old woman was attempting to cross Subway Crescent, from the north side to the south side, on the east side of the intersection

- a 67-year-old man was driving a 2014 Infiniti QX8 SUV, westbound on Subway Crescent, approaching Aukland Road

- as the driver attempted to turn left, to southbound Aukland Road, the pedestrian was struck

The 83-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Personal injury collision #54/2014, St. Clair Avenue West at Dufferin Street

On Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 6:50 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at St. Clair Avenue West at Dufferin Street.

It is reported that:

- a 61-year-old man was standing on the northwest corner of St. Clair Avenue West at Dufferin Street

- he stepped onto the roadway and attempted to cross the intersection in a southeast direction

- a 54-year-old man was driving a 2013 Jeep westbound on St. Clair Avenue West, approaching Dufferin Street

- the pedestrian was struck by the vehicle

The 61-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Personal injury collision #55/2014, Bathurst Street near Carpenter Road

On Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 8:43 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Bathurst Street near Carpenter Road.

It is reported that:

- a 77-year-old woman was attempting to cross Bathurst Street, from the east side to the west side

- a 28-year-old woman was driving a 2014 Mercedes 250, southbound on Bathurst Street, in the passing lane

- the pedestrian was struck by the vehicle

The 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Public assistance sought with stabbing investigation, Benner Park, Update, Image of stolen purse released

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance identifying two men wanted in a stabbing investigation.

See previous release.

Further investigation revealed that the woman was robbed of a distinctive purse which is easy to identify. The purse is a "LIEBESKIND" brand and appears to be dark-green with a tiger head picture (orange and white) on the front of the bag.

An image of the purse is released.

Sexual Assault Alert, Kipling Avenue at Dundas Street West, Woman sexually assaulted by four men, Update, Additional information released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

On Monday, December 15, 2014, during the evening hours, a woman, 27, was lured by a man to a building in the Kipling Avenue at Dundas Street West area.

Investigators have now determined that:

- the woman knew the man identified as "Noel"

- she was brought to the apartment by him for a job interview

- she reports that she saw a gun in his car

Police believe these men to be armed and dangerous. Do not approach. If located call 9-1-1.

Fatal collision #48/2014 Finch Avenue East at Neilson Road

On Friday, December 19, 2014, at approximately 5:40 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Finch Avenue East at Neilson Road.

It is reported that:

− a 14-year-old girl was attempting to cross Neilson Road, from the east side to the west side, in the area of the south side of the intersection

− a 27-year-old man was driving a TTC bus northbound on Neilson Road and was attempting to make a right turn to eastbound Finch Avenue East

− the bus struck the girl

- the girl suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene

- the bus failed to remain at the scene of the collision

Don Hartigan, 68, was last seen on Friday, December 19, 2014, at 8 p.m., in the Bermondsey Road and Eglinton Avenue East area.

He is described as white, 6", with a slim build, and short grey hair.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue cotton pajama bottoms and slippers without socks.

Police are concerned for his safety.

On Thursday, December 18, 2014, the Toronto Police Service requested the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in an Indecent Exposure investigation.

On Friday, December 19, 2014, at 9:10 a.m., Karma Sherab, 40, of Toronto, was arrested for this incident. He is charged with:

1) Assault
2) two counts of Criminal Harassment
3) Indecent Act

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Friday, December 19, 2014, room 101.

Police looking for woman assaulted in apartment building, Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area

On Monday, December 22, 2014, at approximately 4 a.m., officers responded to a call for an Unknown Trouble in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a woman had been assaulted inside an apartment building in the area

- she sustained a serious cut to the left side of her face

- police believe that her injuries will require medical attention

- police believe she might be afraid to seek assistance

She is described as Asian, 20-30, long black hair, last seen wearing light-coloured pants, a black shirt and a white jacket.

Police are concerned for her safety.
