On Monday, January 30, 2017, at 9:23 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting in the Gerrard Street East and Sumach Street area.
Police arrived and located a man with life-threatening injuries.
He was immediately taken to hospital by emergency run, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
He has been identified as Ali Rizeig, 18, of Toronto.
Homicide investigators want to speak with anyone in the area, between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., with a dashcam or security camera.
