The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an Extortion investigation.
On Saturday, January 28, 2017, officers began an investigation into the alleged extortion of two people between September 26, 2016 and January 28, 2017.
It is further alleged that:
- a man acted as a surety for two men
- he threatened them in order to extort money
On Sunday, January 29, 2017, David Vallejos-Reyes, 56, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) two counts of Extortion
He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Monday, January 30, 2017, 10 a.m., room 306.
