The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made, and the seizure of a firearm, in an Impaired driving investigation.
On Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 6:03 a.m., officers responded to a call for an impaired driver in the Keele Street and George Appleton Way area.
It is alleged that:
- a man driving a car had pulled into a gas station
- he was found by officers unconscious behind the wheel
- he had vomited on, and in, his car
- he was arrested for Impaired Care and Control
- a loaded .45 calibre pistol was found in his car
Tylor Lansdowne-Thomas, 25, of Toronto, is charged with:
1) Impaired Care and Control
2) Over 80 mgs Care and Control
3) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
4) Possession of Loaded Restricted Weapon
5) Possession of Restricted Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
6) Weapons Dangerous
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Monday, October 24, 2016, 10 a.m., room 306.
