The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of arrests made in a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.
On Wednesday, October 5, 2016, officers executed a 3 search warrants at the SWED Dispensary, at 3440 Lake Shore Blvd West, Better Living 222 Dispensary at 2791 Lake Shore Blvd West and the Corner Store Dispensary at 1128 The Queensway.
Ryan Robinson, 30, of Toronto; Tanvi Jaswal, 19, of Toronto; Nicholas Gibbon-Hudson, 25, of Mississauga; Laura Mendez, 28, of Toronto; Jason Haist, 30, of Toronto, and Kelly Tsui, 28, of Toronto, were arrested.
They are each charged with:
1) Possession Schedule II Substance
2) Possession of Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
3) Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
Kelly Tsui is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.
The other five appeared in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, October 6, 2016, 9 a.m., room 114.
Over $24,000 of marihuana and related products were seized.
