On Sunday, June 9, 2013, the City of Toronto, Long-Term Care Homes and Services, will be hosting the 21st annual Toronto Challenge Run. This is both a one-km walk, and a five-km walk/run. The event organizers are expecting approximately 3,500 participants.
Participants will assemble on Wellington Street West, east of John Street, and will depart at 9:30 a.m. along the following route:
Formation Area: Wellington Street West (John Street to Simcoe Street)
- Eastbound on Wellington Street West
- Northbound on University Avenue
- Northbound on Queen's Park Crescent East
- Eastbound on Wellesley Street West
- Southbound on Bay Street
- Westbound on Wellington Street West
Dispersal Area: Wellington Street West, west of University Ave
Vehicles in the area may experience traffic delays due to this event.
Roads are expected to be fully reopened by 11 a.m.
This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
