Shoppers Love You Run for Women, Sunday, June 11, 2016, Road closures

The 1st Annual Shoppers Love You Run for Women will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Approximately 1,250 participants will take part in this event which includes a 1km run/walk for children at 7:30 a.m., 10km run at 8:00 a.m., and a 5km run/walk at 8:15 a.m.

Route:

START/FINISH LINE: Grosvenor Street, east of Surry Place, Full road closed

Westbound: Grosvenor Street, Full road
Southbound: Queen’s Park Crescent East, Full road
Westbound: College Street, Westbound, curb lane
Northbound: Spadina Avenue, Northbound, curb lane
Eastbound: Bloor Street West, Eastbound, curb lane
Southbound: Bay Street, Southbound, curb lane
Westbound: St. Joseph Street, North side, curb lane
Northbound: Queen’s Park Crescent, East, Full road looping around
Southbound: Queen’s Park Crescent, West, East side lanes
Eastbound: Front driveway of Queen’s Park (on south side of Legislative Building)

SPLIT: 5km participants cross over to eastbound Grosvenor Street to the Finish line, 10km participants turn southbound and repeat the route.

Road closures:
Queen’s Park Crescent East, and Queen’s Park Crescent West will be closed from approximately 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. between College Street and Bloor Street West.

Grosvenor Street will also be closed.

TTC:
The affected bus routes are the 5 Avenue Road and 94 Wellesley Street. Route 5 will turn back at Bloor Street, as opposed to looping the southerly portion of Queen’s Park, while buses on the 94 Wellesley Street route will operate via Wellesley Street, Bay Street, College Street, St. George Street, and Harbord Street in both directions.
