The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Voyeurism investigation
On Saturday, May 7, 2016, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for Voyeurism at Fairview Mall.
It is alleged that:
- a man followed a 13-year-old girl through the mall
- he took a photograph of her that was sexual in nature
- the girl's mother activated an alarm calling for security
- the man was contained, then arrested by police
On Saturday, May 7, 2016, the man was charged with Voyeurism
It is further alleged that;
- a search warrant was executed on his electronic device
- unrelated child pornography was discovered
On Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 8 a.m., Roderico Sy, 44, of Toronto, was arrested again. His combined charges from this incident are:
1) Voyeurism
2) Make Child Pornography
3) Possession of Child Pornography
4) Accessing Child Pornography
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, June 2, 2016, 10 a.m., room 301.
Police are concerned there may be other victims.
