Public assistance sought in stabbing investigation, Kennedy Road/Lawrence Avenue East

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in a stabbing investigation.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 7:20 p.m., police were called to a stabbing in the Kennedy Road/Lawrence Avenue East area.

It is reported that:

- a 29-year-old man was driving in the area when he observed what appeared to be three men fighting

- the man stopped to assist but was stabbed by one of the men fighting

- the three men then fled

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as brown, 5'8"-5'10", with a ponytail, scruffy and unshaven. He was wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers hat, black track pants, and a beige jacket.

He is considered armed and dangerous.
