Two men have been charged in five break-and-enters, which occurred between January 2012 and May 2013, within the GTA area.
It is alleged that:
- the accused entered homes and stole high-end appliances
- an estimated total value of items stolen was $223,000
- two search warrants were executed and some of the stolen items were recovered, in excess of $25,000
On Friday, May, 24, 2013, Steven Medwecky, 50, of Toronto, was arrested.
On Monday, May 27, 2013, Ryan Dehart, 40, of Caledon, surrendered to police at 32 Division.
Both men have each been charged with:
1) five counts of Break & Enter Commit
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (over)
The investigation is ongoing.
